Is there anyway to make the second screen brighter while the main screen is off and in standby mode? I can barely see it when the main screen is off and in a dark room.
View 2 RepliesI have a Lumia 1520 that I ordered from China a month ago from Ebay. It's still under the seller's 90-day warranty.I noticed recently two problems:
1) On a white/light background, there are a few brighter spots on the screen.
2) On a black/dark background, when I tap on the phone, there is colour distortion in a few specific areas. Those areas being 1/2 inch above the back button, and on the area of the screen that would be above the camera module. If I drop the phone from a height of a 1/2 inch of so onto a solid surface, these areas become especially pronounced.
I first noticed these problems after I put the "Kaleidio Dual Layer Armor Hybrid" case on the phone. Taking the case off improved the problems, but not completely.
Should I return the phone for a replacement? Or are these problems fairly standard with the Lumia 1520?I absolutely LOVE the Lumia 1520 with Windows 10 installed - it is exactly what I want from a smartphone.
After updating to Lollipop my screen keeps getting brighter by itself. One minute the screen is at the brightest setting, then all of a sudden it gets even brighter. This happens whether or not it's plugged in. Phone seems to get a little hot but that's usually normal for phones these days.

Sometimes that isn't long enough -- I'm waiting for a specific thing to happen that I want to photograph, like the start of a sporting event, and reopening the camera app is a pain.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to set up my 5800 to work in the car as a music/navigation/handsfree device. I created a Car profile with ring volumes and other stuff set up just the way I want it. However, I cannot make the screen not to timeout and turn off. Basically, the automatic screen lock is deactivated and shouldn't get into way. When I plug the aux cable into the phone I select the Music Stand accessory which is the only one that has a Screen control setting. It is set to On, from the default Automatic. However, the screen goes black anyway, but the buttons stay lit.

View 4 Replies View Related9800 Torch When I set up new Email account in Setup - Email Accounts menu it doesn't apear as a shortcut on mainscreen.I have an account on mts.blackberry.com and I can see my email account there. But I can't send e-mail from my device, because "No message service configured. You will be redirected to The Setup Wizard to setup your email accont". Then the OS opening the wizard and i can see my accounts there.I have upgrated my software (with BlackBerry Desktop Software), did the Security Wipe, tryed to delete and then add my email account - nothing. I have tryed to recieve Service Books - nothing received.

I've recently updated to 5.01 and since then whenever i access my contacts and select a number the phone reverts to the main screen. Same thing applies for mail and calendar. Despite numerous restore attempts its still happening and i'm having to use 'Recents' as my contact book which pretty much limits me to an Indian take away and my mum....

The majority of the screen is taken up by the green stuff which serves absolutely no purpose and to get to the screen with all the icons I need to click on the BB button. Obviously, this is subjective and maybe people like this green stuff, but can someone tell me if there is a way to bypass this and have the screen with all the icons be my default? Perhaps someone wrote a theme or something like that?

Originally the font was the same as all other apps including other text display in the phone mode.
I put my facebook application in to its application folder and move it back out to the main screen.

It is slightly smaller than the yellow envelope, seems to be a grey envelope, with a black 'seal' and a tiny red circle on the top right corner which may have the number '1' in it - all very difficult to see.I've checked all my emails - all empty.No RIM messages either.No BlackBerry World updates.Removed battery & rebooted.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI think I accidentially deleted something & then suddenly all of my Icons on the main screen dissappeared. And all I get is a blank yellow circle that I can move across the bottom of the Screen. Also after the accidential deletion, I intermittently got "Error 523" with "Reboot" or something like that. On the secondary screen where it would normally display all Icons, I only get a blank screen (just showing my background) with no icons. It does however show stuff like the battery symbol, notifications, wifi symbol, etc.
I reinstalled the most recent firmware that I could reinstall.It restored the Icons on the secondary screen but none on the first screen and still only get a blank yellow circle that I can move back and forth across the screen. & I also lost the ability to "move" Icons. Even tried "Alt+BB button" & not able to move Icons,I took out the battery, Sim card & memory card & then reinserted them. Still no Icons on the first screen & on the second screen where all the Icons would show is now blank again.Anyone know how I can restore the Icons to the first Screen? How I can get the move function back & get all my Icons to not dissappear off the second screen?
I have not used my blackberry for 18 months and when i turn it on it comes up with Blackberry Plaform 4.0.0.183 and lists Calender, Compose, Global Search etc etc. what i need to do to be able to use it again.? I don't have any of the original software. Just downloaded the desktop manager.
