i just got the new bb curve 2, and i absoloutely love it, but for some reason, when i get a facehbook notification it does its regular vib/ring mix, but then every 10-20 seconds it vibrates again and it continues until i check the message, ive been woken up way too many times in the past 2 days because of this... does anyone know how to solve it?

I'm new to blackberry. I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday and I am having some trouble with it.
Problem 1:
New messages wont show up, I have to go into general messages and select "View Folder" > "SMS Inbox"
I have it set to combined simply because I just want all my messages in the main message folder but whenever a new message comes in I have to go into the SMS inbox folder.
Problem 2:
I'm having the same trouble with my email, I keep getting the notification come up for a new email but it is no-where to be found.
Problem 3:
I've set my blackberry to the Vibrate profile, the only time it seems to vibrate is when I get a new facebook notification and thats it.
I put my phone down for like a minute, when I came back it was rebooting. I thought my phone was just messing about so I left it to start but when it got to the end of the reboot the little timer thing came up on the top left corner and then it all went black and it rebooted all over again and the same thing happened.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my Curve 9330 in Oct 2010, it started freezing about 4 months ago, once every few weeks, over time it has gotten worse, so now it freezes every few minutes. Some freezes are "screen shots" where the time is off by a few minutes like its been frozen about 7 or 8 min and the cursor won't move, and some are freezes with the timer like its waiting on something. It takes me about 30 min to do something (text, email, facebook, anything) that should be a quick 2-3 min check. I have taken the battery out and that works for about an hour, then it goes back to freezing. I have done shift+alt+del to reset and that works for about an hour. I updated my OS, it stopped for about 3 or 4 days then started back up. I have checked to Application free space, there's 158.6MB. I do use my phone a lot, mostly quick check of things throughout the day.

The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

Ussually, when I got notification about someone messaging me on FB, if i click on the notification item, it'll take me to the FB message screen where I can reply the message right away. 1) When I have an email, whether my personal or work, and the email contains images, they don't show up on the BB. I know within each e-mail I can ask for the images to show but is there an option somewhere for it to always show? I don't want to have to ask for the images on each e-mail.
2) At the top of the screen, I have the Facebook logo and the the number 2 right before it and it won't go away.I do not have any new notifications from Facebook-I know a red star comes with those to alert me to that.
I have the BB 8530. When I get a voicemail, a simple, white icon (a single line with a small circle at each end) appears in the top left of my screen, where the email & text notification icons also appear. In the past, once I check my voicemails, the icon goes away. But this time it has not. I have checked my voicemail several times and even erased all of my saved voice mails, but the icon will not go away! How can I get rid of it?

Anyway, I know that when you get a new notification, a little icon appears at the top of your screen with the blue 'F' logo and a red star on, to show that it's unread. Anyway, I checked all my notifications then deleted them, but I still have a '1 F' icon at the top (without a red star) - even after deleting all my notifications again.
On my home screen the blue F symbol is always on screen with the number 5 next to it.....even when there are no new notifications, messages etc in the application....
I have tried deleting the facebook application and reinstalling it, but the 5F symbol is still there!!
It will go up in number and have a star next to it when there are new notifications for me to view, but it's really annoying me that it's there all the time and its wrong!
How do I get rid of the facebook notification in the second bar on my home screen? It looks like a notification about one bbm message, accept next to the '1' there is a facebook icon, but when I go into facebook, there's nothing. The notification on my device's home screen doesn't go away.

1. I've downloaded the Facebook "bookmark", but I'm not sure where this is found?? I thought it would be an icon, that I could then add to the home screen? If it IS, then how do I find it, and do this?
2. Is it possible to add my iTunes catalogue, or a part of it, to my BB - are they compatible in any way?
3. How do I select something other than Vodafone's horrible home page, to be my landing page on the internet?
5. What is the difference between the "browser" icon and the "WAP" icon?? Am I meant to go through one in preference to the other, as ultimately, they both do the same thing??
6. Is the pin number solely for giving to BB "friends" so we can chat on messenger, or does it have any other uses?
Wanted an SMS boost so i downloaded Asvibra last night. Right after i tested it, i had no vibration at all. So i thought maybe it messed the Plist up, so i went into ifile and went into the Frameworks folder and i dont have a Privateframeworks folder or anything with celestialframeworks.
I deleted asvibra and still got nothing. Any options besides restoring?
I updated my Sony xperia z2 And now there are no sounds when I receive all messages and any other notification from all my apps. All I get is a vibration.
In messages under settings, I have chosen my notification tone. But nothing not even the light flashing anymore. As of now I don't know when people are sending me a text message.
Im not even sure if this is possible, but I just want my text notification to be a vibration instead of a sound.I've tried putting the vibrate option on and text sound to 'None', but it doesn't work.
