IPhone :: Set Text Notification To Just A Vibration?
Mar 31, 2012
Im not even sure if this is possible, but I just want my text notification to be a vibration instead of a sound.I've tried putting the vibrate option on and text sound to 'None', but it doesn't work.
How do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.
when I am on a call I am not getting a vibration or a sound to let me know a text message has come in on my LG G3 on Lollipop. This is something I am certain it did before. It's not happening with regular texts or on WhatsApp.I have been messing around in the new Sounds & Notifications (which is super confusing) and I just can't seem to make it happen,
Wanted an SMS boost so i downloaded Asvibra last night. Right after i tested it, i had no vibration at all. So i thought maybe it messed the Plist up, so i went into ifile and went into the Frameworks folder and i dont have a Privateframeworks folder or anything with celestialframeworks.
I deleted asvibra and still got nothing. Any options besides restoring?
My job requires me to carry a Blackberry and it has one feature that I wish was available on the iPhone: It waits until I finish a phone call before it beeps or buzzes to tell me that I have a new email, text message or other notification. Is there a way to tell the iPhone to "hold my messages" until I hang up?
I updated my Sony xperia z2 And now there are no sounds when I receive all messages and any other notification from all my apps. All I get is a vibration.
In messages under settings, I have chosen my notification tone. But nothing not even the light flashing anymore. As of now I don't know when people are sending me a text message.
I went into the settings of the Twitter app and turned of the vibration, but yet it still vibrates when i get a notification. It worked with my other phones, but doesn't work with the 6P....
i just got the new bb curve 2, and i absoloutely love it, but for some reason, when i get a facehbook notification it does its regular vib/ring mix, but then every 10-20 seconds it vibrates again and it continues until i check the message, ive been woken up way too many times in the past 2 days because of this... does anyone know how to solve it?
Just got my phone yesterday. I dont seem to be able to activate vibration as email notification, especially in silent mode. My friend who has Z2 has the "vibration option" in his email settings, but I don't.Â
I'm new to blackberry. I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday and I am having some trouble with it.
Problem 1: New messages wont show up, I have to go into general messages and select "View Folder" > "SMS Inbox"
I have it set to combined simply because I just want all my messages in the main message folder but whenever a new message comes in I have to go into the SMS inbox folder.
Problem 2: I'm having the same trouble with my email, I keep getting the notification come up for a new email but it is no-where to be found.
Problem 3: I've set my blackberry to the Vibrate profile, the only time it seems to vibrate is when I get a new facebook notification and thats it.
Mechanism to turn off the vibration or mute the message notification automatically during video recording, due to the motor vibration sound always record into the video.
im trying to figure out whats wrong with my photon, its been almost a month and when i get a notification (email, text, ect) i dont find out untill hours after i recived it because my phone doesnt vibrate. It vibrates when i get a call and when im using the keyboard but not when i get a notification. I have the vibration for notifications turned on but it doesnt seem to affect anything. I dont get any notification vibration feedback when my phones on vibrate or its on sound.
I can't seem to receive a text without it making a sound as well as vibrating. I've got the vibrate set to never but it only doesn't vibrate when its on silent. i've tried all of the options like when sound is off, never, always etc but nothing changes.
Just picked up the M8 and I'm super pleased with just about everything on the phone with the exception of a few things. One of the few things that bugs me about this phone is that I'm constantly missing texts, and e-mail notifications if the phone is in my pocket.
On my old phones, I'd rely on vibration to let me know when I receive incoming texts, or notifications, and on the M8 it seems theres only a single option to enable vibration and not anywhere to intensify, or even change the vibration patterns when receiving texts or other notifications.
Is there anything built into the phone that can intensify the vibration or possibly make it vibrate for a longer duration? I'd hate to download a third party app just to do this, but if thats my only option then I'll be happy to do so.
Phone vibrates on receiving email and will not stop till iv read the email, I've got notification as no vibrate but it still vibrates on receiving email on hotmail and gmail (notifications in both set up on vibration is off )
On silent and normal profiles, the vibration stops after around 20 seconds even though the incoming call persists. How do I get the vibration to continue?
Lately when I am texting someone, when the other person texts me I receive a message at the top left hand message tab that I have a texted waiting. I have to go out of the contact I am having the conversation and go back in to receive the text.
My wife and I both have an iphone 3gs. For a year or so everything worked great, but now whenever I text her she does not receive any notification (except for a split second small red notifier on the Messages icon) that the text has gone through. If she isn't looking at the Messages icon at that exact instant she wont' know I've texted her. She has to open up Messages and the text is then visible.Sometimes when we're texting each other the messages read as if I am texting myself. All of the texts are on the right side of the screen. And sometimes the phone says the text is coming from my phone when it's actually coming from her phone. This is a nuisance. When I need to send a text I'm not sure if it's being received or not.It seems like this problem started when I opened up my iCloud account.Nothing seems to fix it.Also, when my daughter uses her iPod Touch to text me it says it's coming from my wife. And, when she receives texts from her friends it comes to my phone in addition to her iPod Touch. Very confusing. No one at the Apple store could help. They just kind of pushed me along.
I was hard resetting my iPhone 5 today (iOS 7.1.1).
Just as it was a millisecond from turning off, I received a text.
When it turned back on, I saw the text's body in the notification center, but there was no sender identification.
When I open the Messages app icon, there's no message, and the notification WON'T GO AWAY.Â
I've asked someone to text me again, there was a notification for 2 messages unread instead of one, but when I opened it and read their text, it went back to 1 and it still won't disappear. Furthermore, I've hard reset my iPhone once more, turned it off and back one, and tried syncing it with my computer, all futile attempts to solve my problem.Â
I guess it's worth mentioning that I cleared the message from my notification center.
My phone only makes noise when someone is calling, it doesn't play music out loud or ring when I get a text. It also has nothing to do with the mute switch on the side, I've flipped it on and off and nothing works.
in the text message conversation view, there's only a soft sound alert when new messages are received.even when the screen is off, you get no popup preview or a regular notification sound whatsoever.the only way to keep getting the regular notification & previews is to quit the app each time you send out a text.often times when you are in the middle of something and are unable to focus on the phone itself for the conversation, you forget to quit the message app, then you are totally not aware there have been messages coming in because it only gives you a soft sound alert that's totally unable to hear when you're outside walking, or other similar scenarios
It's been bugging me for years, it's specially annoying when the other person I chat with isn't aware of this issue and ocassionally misses out my messages.i mean,if apple insists that to avoid this problem, the users MUST remember to quit the conversation RIGHT AFTER EVERY SINGLE LINE, this is just absolutely unrealistic.I now do it every time because I'm aware of the issue, but not the other people I have conversations with.I've had too many situations where I had to wait for a long time to receive response only to find out that the other person wasn't aware the new text messages, because it was simply too soft to hear, and completely no other sort of things to notify you with.so i wonder if there really isn't a way to change the notification behavior, cuz apparently it's impossible that I make everybody I send text to change their habits just for this.
OK out of no where my 8520 started now showing text or notifing me of texts it just shows the little text notification that I have a text. When I go to read it it's not there.I'm not using the default theme. When I switch to the default theme it throws everything off. This phone is brand new I had to get a new curve for a different reason.I'm stuck with this for 2 years.
