when I am on a call I am not getting a vibration or a sound to let me know a text message has come in on my LG G3 on Lollipop. This is something I am certain it did before. The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

View 4 Replies View Relatedim trying to figure out whats wrong with my photon, its been almost a month and when i get a notification (email,text,ect) i dont find out untill hours after i recived it because my phone doesnt vibrate. It vibrates when i get a call and when im using the keyboard but not when i get a notification. I have the vibration for notifications turned on but it doesnt seem to affect anything. I dont get any notification vibration feedback when my phones on vibrate or its on sound.

When on call i do not get any sound alerting me a text came or alarm is off or so on.. I see it in on top when i look at the phone but if i see it only at the end of the call when i look at the phone.
Is there a way to have it make a sound during the call (like a beep noise or something like that) so i can know when something is up while i'm on a call?
there is a setting somewhere on the phone ( Desire ) that turns off the notification sound ( text , email , etc ) whilst a call is being made , on other phones ive had the phone would just vibrate during a call if you received a text message but not this one.

OS: WM 6.5
-I have tried both mp3 and wav formats
-Placed them in the root directory of my microSD card and the windows folder on my phone itself.
-I don't have a visible application datasounds folder on my microSD card, which is the only other location I have read that I should put them in. (I have tried to show hidden files)
The problem is I cannot get any of the files to show up to select them in Message Settings > Notifications > New Text Message > Example.mp3
The notification sound (when an email/sms/calendar pushes) during a call is so annoying and uncomfortable (there will be a weird sound in the earphone and then the normal notification sound, too distracting). Is it possible to disable that weird sound?

With the 2220, when I receive a text I have set the tone I want however I cannot find if this phone will allow the tone to sound after every two minutes. All my previous phones have had this facility which I like as if you don't hear the notification sound at first it alerts you every two minutes.Is it just this phone or are all Nokia's like this?

I checked sound settings and they are all maxed out after a reboot, but still no sound until the second text message.

I have set the settings in the options (Ring Tones/Alerts), but it does not beep while in a call. I have also noticed that there is a setting for each contact to alert in a call (default set to no). I've tried resetting the sound settings, changing the ringtone etc! (when selecting a different ringtone, the phone DOES NOT make any sound then either, whereas, before it would play the tunes as I went through the "ring tone" menu).
The other sounds, ie key pad, internet etc all play sound!

Edit: yes, the first thing I did was go into the settings and do that, but it doesn't work for texting or whatsapp messages and I don't know how to turn it off for those. I don't mind the vibration when it rings.
Wanted an SMS boost so i downloaded Asvibra last night. Right after i tested it, i had no vibration at all. So i thought maybe it messed the Plist up, so i went into ifile and went into the Frameworks folder and i dont have a Privateframeworks folder or anything with celestialframeworks.
I deleted asvibra and still got nothing. Any options besides restoring?
I updated my Sony xperia z2 And now there are no sounds when I receive all messages and any other notification from all my apps. All I get is a vibration.
In messages under settings, I have chosen my notification tone. But nothing not even the light flashing anymore. As of now I don't know when people are sending me a text message.

A message appears on the screen "Home ringing" with a little white X in a red disk.
