Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: Notification Sound For Sent Text Messages?
Jan 16, 2011
locate where I can urn off the notification sound when i send a text message. It is incredibly annoying. I only seem to be able to change the notification of received and sent messages at same time and I do not want this to be on silent as I would like to know when i get a message. I recently upraged to andrid 2.1.
I have an issue with notifications on my z3. Every notification works except with messages. When i receive a message i have no notification. Have checked settings and they are all fine.
does anyone know how to change the sound for a text message notification? If I go to Settings, Sound and Display, Notification Ringtone, and change it, it will only change the sound for say email notifications? I cant change the sound of a text message notifcation?
I just updated my Xperia Mini Pro, but after the update, a) new text messages appear at the bottom of the list of texts (so annoying!) and b) the newest text message does not appear on the list when I reply to it.Is this a bug? I really don't think it's a feature.
My mini pro refuses to make a sound (it simply vibrates) whenever a text message comes in, even though it's not on silent and I've got the volume turned up all the way.I was curious as to if this has something to do with a padlock icon that has appeared in the right hand corner of the main display, next to the reception bars. I have no idea how it got there or what it does, and I can't find any info about it
How do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.
I was having problems with my x10 mini pro over the weekend when sending texts, it was being really slow and kept saying there was a problem with the messaging application and asked me if i wanted to "force a close" or "wait". I chose wait everytime and everything seemed ok, except for being really really slow. Today I got the same message when sending a text, but it didnt give me the option to "wait" and I had to press "force close". Well, it then showed me as having NO text messages in my history....I have lost them all. I went in the Vodofone shop and he said they are gone for good....does anyone know anyway I can get them back? Some of them are really special to me and I hate the thought of losing them all like that with no warning
"where have all my old texts gone?". I have connected the phone via the usb to my computer and saying there is nothing to restore! where are all my old texts?
We have an Xperia X10 mini pro that can not receive sms/txt messages. We already received a new SIM card and the problem still exists. Can this be in connection with a message: the memory will reach its limit (or somethign like it)
Since a few weeks now, i don't receive all text messages that are sent to my phone by contacts anymore.I can't pin an exact number how much messages are 'gone missing', but for example, yesterday i was texting the whole day with a friend, and of the on average 25 messages she sent, 3 never reached my phone. Also, sometimes when i get a message the text stops in midway and it ends with a piece of text from another message, that i received weeks ago. However, this problem has dimished over the past weeks. By the way, i have to add, i'm thinking of doing a factory reset, but for that i need to save all my contacts. i tried exporting all my contacts to my sim (using the import/export function in contacts),but when i used my sim on an older phone, only half of my contacts were transferred.I have to add that i got a notification that the sim was full, so some data wasn't transferred.
When I turn my phone on in the morning I often get messages from the night before from drunken mates However, the phone tells me the receive time (i.e. now), not the time the message was sent (which my old SE W302 would do). I've loaded Handcent to see if that helped but it does the same thing.
My memorie is full and I would like to know how to convert my text messages from my phone to my computer. I've been looking for the answer for days and I've been downloading all kinds of programs, unsuccessfully.
I have given up on trying to find the answer to this ridiculously basic question in the User Guide. (I must not be using the keywords that the user guide understands!)
how to delete multiple text messages at the same time, rather than deleting them individually? My phone is an X10 mini pro.
After using Backup and Restore before updating the software, I've found that I can't retrieve a lot of my text messages. Everything else has restored fine, and I've tried restoring with just the text messages box checked. This takes hours and hours and usually comes up with an error partway through, or it just doesn't complete. I have a lot of texts that I'd rather not lose.
I am not receiving text messages on my phone. I can send txts and call and receive calls. The SIM appears to receive texts in another phone. I read somewhere that this might be due to memory??? Is there a way to move apps to the SD card? My phone is not fully functioning!
I lost all my new next text messages after restoring a backup using the abckup & restore i did a few days back in my x10 mini pro.How do I retrieve them? They are very important messages! What can I do?
I've recently started getting a problem where my text message program freezes if my phone turns off the screen (i.e. me being inactive for a while). When I get back again it says I can either wait for it to respond or terminate the process. If I wait it unfreezes, but it is still very irritating that it happens every time.
And who's incredibly stupid idea was it to make long SMS messages into MMS-messages? I have problems with my messages not being sent properly, or being sent only partially, all the time. Is there any way to change back so it just adds more text messages instead of converting into MMS?
I use the standard text messaging program that came with my X10 mini pro, and I'd rather not switch since I found it quite good until after recent updates when I got these problems.
I dont like the conversation set up in in text messaging, is there anyway you can change the settings to just show the messages instead of being grouped as a conversation?
No text notification sound on my, or my wife's, lg4 phone. worked ok up until a couple of weeks ago. How do I get notification sounds. tried all of the menu stuff. purchased phones in August 2015...
Okay I am having problems changing the sound to notify you of new incoming text messages and I was hoping someone could help me.
Phone: Telus LG IQ OS: WM 6.5
-I have tried both mp3 and wav formats -Placed them in the root directory of my microSD card and the windows folder on my phone itself. -I don't have a visible application datasounds folder on my microSD card, which is the only other location I have read that I should put them in. (I have tried to show hidden files)
The problem is I cannot get any of the files to show up to select them in Message Settings > Notifications > New Text Message > Example.mp3
when I am on a call I am not getting a vibration or a sound to let me know a text message has come in on my LG G3 on Lollipop. This is something I am certain it did before. It's not happening with regular texts or on WhatsApp.I have been messing around in the new Sounds & Notifications (which is super confusing) and I just can't seem to make it happen,
