I have an S6 and can not find how to set up the text message alerts to continue notification every minute until the text is opened? Also - my notifications are only sent on the first text not when the responses come in?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI use E66 and E52 phones. When I receive a new message, notification light starts flashing on both phones. It is OK. But... I often use Nokia PC Suite for managing my messages. When I read all new messages on E66, notification light automatically changes its self from flashing mode to "breathing". It's fine. But it doesn't work on my E52. When I read all new messages, notification light is still flashing (no "breathing"!) on E52. I read manual and I know that it is necessary to use my phone directly to stop flashing. Why (if all messages has been read)? I think, it correct works on E66. What is the problem? I use latest version of firmware and Nokia PC Suite (not OVI Suite!). I contacted Nokia HelpDesk, but they told me something like "it is not a bug, it is a feature".

In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). We have Verizon for our provider.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a text message from an agency I work for giving me details and the address of a contract I was due to start that night. I'd also reeived and set up my s6 the previous day and went to cut and paste the postcode from the received message into googlemaps searchbar like I'd done millions of times before on my old HT desire hd. It would not let me bring up the cursor tool to select just the postcode so I had to copy the whole text of the message. Inconveinent but okay I'll just delete what I don't need. Pasted this into googlemaps searchbar and begun to delete the excess text. First the stuff and the end of the text message then off to the beginning... hang on?? there is no way of getting to the beginning of thetext to delete the excess there. I couldn't point as the searchbar scrolls along and there is no left or right arrow on the keypad to move across. I couldn't believe it! I'd been doing this fot years on myHTC Desire hd and that as like 4 years old!
Maybe I'm missing something so I played arounda little more and discovered the clipboard but couldn't find a way to edit I'd copied here either?? I called my network provider and they didn't have any answers so gave me samsungs number who I phoned and also seemed to have no answers??? Really I don't get how the cursor used to select the required text is available everywhere else but in received messages?? It was there in email, there in composing texts, there on the web??
cutting and pasting a postcode from a received text message into googlemaps should not be this much hardwork or at least it wasn't on my HTC
Whenever I'm on PC or PS4, or doing basically anything except being on my phone, when I receive Whatsapp/FB/any message, the S-View screen doesn't light up, like it did previously with my S4. It's annoying as I tend to use headphones a lot, and can't hear the quiet vibration. Is there any way to make the screen light up?

However this morning I put my phone on mute and when i received a text message my phone chimes. I turned the sound off and defaulted the messages to silent but it still keeps making the same noise even though my phone is on silent.

I don't know if i just noticed now or what, but whenever i get a text message or facebook message, basically any notification, my screen wont turn on and display it. Just led blink + sound+ viberate. I went into my settings and tried basically everything possible. I have show notifications on lock screen and inside messages app its toggled to show on lock screen also.

Fortunately the phone was under warranty, but I lost all dataMy phone got upgraded to ICS. My 4 day old N97 Mini stopped displaying new text message notifications on the screen and alerting me via a tone or vibration.Before posting I read this forum and other independent forums and did the following:
Checked firmware for phone - was up to date
Checked message tone was active in profiles - was active
Deleted all messages in inbox/drafts/sent - fixed issue had 41 messages total in these 3 folders.
I can't understand this error, I had an iPhone 3G before coming back to Nokia (N97 mini OS served a better purpose) I could store literally 100's of texts and never had a problem, If I can't have more than 40 texts in my folders without the alert turning itself off..Then the phone is useless.... I could have a text sitting there for hours without knowing.I have read other threads that have been marked as SOLVED but without an explanation of why this happens how is it solved if it keeps happening to people? It may have returned the message alert and tone... but if there is a bug it shouldnt me marked as solved..

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

Possibly, it is due to the phone being registered out of MI, with a MI area code, and the phone and myself, are actually located in a western state. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a facebook notification that shows up as seen, but not opened. So it does not have the red asterisk, but will not leave home screen. I cannot get it to go away.
Things I have tried:
-Soft reset
-Hard reset (pulling battery)
-Uninstalling Facebook via app world - made it go away
-Reinstalling Facebook via app world - made it come back
-As far as I can tell, it does not show up in either Messages or Facebook app
-Went to facebook website from laptop and open/cleared all notifications
-Went to mobile facebook website from phone and clicked on link that said "clear all notifications"
-Going into Messages, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
-Going into Facebook app, notifications tab, selecting today's date, then menu button, and "Mark Prior Opened"
At this point I would be happy with understanding where the notifications that appear on your homescreen are stored and if I could maybe delete a cache file or something from windows when I have it plugged into my computer.
