In my iPhone, I can't know if is arrived a mail in my account. Only when I try to enter in the mail-app I can see if I have some mails. I wants to see the number in the app when a mail is arrived.

Has anyone else experienced a lag from the time you receive the email to the time you hear a notification? I have my phone set to Push and Fetch for manual check to help conserve battery, and when I check, I will see the email come in, but no notification sound/vibrate. Even on fetch it does it. And from appx. 5 mins and on I will finally hear the notification ding or vibrate. I called apple care- they walked me through resetting all network settings.. that did not work, I also restore my phone.. and that did not work..

Everytime inbox needs to refreshed inorder to see new mails. Same with Gmail app installed on phone.

I check the account and my password which should show as ******* now shows as ****************************. Who or what is adding the extra digits to my password. It's a yahoo/sbcglobal account. So starting last night I noticed that when I get a instagram notification my phone would chime and it never did that before. No big deal. However this morning I put my phone on mute and when i received a text message my phone chimes. I turned the sound off and defaulted the messages to silent but it still keeps making the same noise even though my phone is on silent.
How I can turn that off?? Its a Samsung Galaxy S5
Using a curve 9360, Vodafone. When receiving SMS, no alert sounds or icon shows, although SMS is actually received. On the home screen there is no SMS icon, only way to read is via Messages then options list..view folder..SMS inbox. How do I get SMS arrived alert, and SMS icon on home screen?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
I was delighted to see I can finally upgrade my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did so at once.Unfortunately I discovered all the pre-set alarm and notification sounds from the original factory settings are gone now and most of them have been replaced by rather lame ones. Is there any way to recover or download the old OS5 Bold 9700 sounds from a official (!) source?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy husband and I both got the 9700 this past weekend. Mine works great but unfortunately, his voicemail notification does not work. We've tried adding visual voicemail, removing visual voicemail, adding it again, removing it again, resetting to network with Customer Care. My husband doesn't even care about VVM. He just needs regular voicemail notification. And yes, the voicemail works properly and the notification has worked perfectly fine through the years on his 8900, his old 8320, his old Pearl, etc.
Yesterday I called Customer Care and the CSR rep said all we had to do was go to the home screen --> hit menu --> scroll and click on messages --> hit menu --> scroll and click on voicemail setup --> scroll to notifications --> choose ON, then save or done. Sounds simple enough. Unfortunately, when I followed his steps and went to the home screen and hit menu, there is no "messages" in the menu. If I go to the messages icon, I can get to message alerts for all messages but there is no voicemail setup.
I have a notification that I can not figure out. It indicates I have one followed by an orange globe. Please tell me what this is.

View 6 Replies View RelatedAll reminders set on my Blackberry Torch 9800 would not provide a reminder (a pop up screen) nor would it vibrate (in normal and vibrate mode) or make a sound (in normal mode) when the time of reminder was set. For example: Time now it is 4:50pm and I set a reminder for 5pm with a reminder set for 5 min. On my previous BB9700 a reminder would be generated at 4:55 pm (a sound and/or vibrate depending on the mode and profile setting). On my current BB 9800, nothing would happen.
