Lumia 950 :: No Audible Or Vibrate Alert When New Email Received
Dec 3, 2015
I have the new 950 and I can not get notifications to work when new emails arrive..on any of my email accounts. The phone does not give me an audible or vibrate alert.
In my iPhone, I can't know if is arrived a mail in my account. Only when I try to enter in the mail-app I can see if I have some mails. I wants to see the number in the app when a mail is arrived.
I just did a test with my Icon. I just got received her text and the phone vibrated just one time. Is there a way to get the phone to vibrate multiple times.
Have had the 9650 for a week, so far so good. Does anyone know if there is a way to get an audible alert and a notice to my messages that a voicemail is waiting ? I believe my curve used to do this. Not looking for the app you can buy re: missed calls.....just if there is a voicemail waiting.
I keep my phone on silent while in class, and I recently received an audible alert during lecture while on silent. The alert tone was not one that I have set or recognize, and I was only able to view "iPhone alert" before frantically turning it off. Does anyone know what causes these embarrassing audible alerts while in silent mode or know of a way to check past alerts?
I have a need to have text (SMS) messages to wake me, but I dno't want general emails to wake me at night. My iPhone 4s spends most of its life in silet mode, but I need all text messages to be obnoxious so that they will make me. When I had a BLackberry I could set different message notification types for example I can always have text messages loud but could silence anything else. I'm toying aroudn with setting the contact SMS to be the Alarm tone but I'm not sure how this iwll work when I have it in silent...
I've read articles on Google where I'm not the only person seeking this functionality; the most recent article was a doctor that was on-call. While I'm not a doctor, I do work an on-call position.
The notification sound (when an email/sms/calendar pushes) during a call is so annoying and uncomfortable (there will be a weird sound in the earphone and then the normal notification sound, too distracting). Is it possible to disable that weird sound?
I previously owned a fine 6700. I just switched to C5 which is ok. I have only one problem. Is there a way (while being set on General mode) to have the incoming calls both ring and vibrate, and at the same time, have my sms alert only vibrate ?When set the sms alert to deactivate and then set vibrate to activated, nothing happens when I get a text message. When I set the sms alert on Beep, it vibrates all right, but it also beeps, and that I don't want.
I have received a video clip via email. I can watch the clip when I downloaded it right inside my email folder. The thing is it has no option to save it & I can't find this clip anywhere in the phone.
since updating to 2.1 which actually went quite smoothly once i'd 'found' my contacts, my phone vibrates as well as makes a sound on incoming texts. The help guide (also disappeared off phone but can stll access online version) still refers to tapping settings & then tapping notifications.... well since the upgrade my settings menu has changed beyond recognition & when you tap settings there is no notifications option! The nearest is 'sound & display', in which i can change the sound used for texts alerts and also has a phone vibrate for incoming calls (which is unchecked) but nothing re vibrate for incoming texts.
I feel this was a hoax. I purchased the phone under the impression I would received 100 rebate/store credit and received nothing. Did anyone get there $100 rebate/credit from nokia or ATT?
I have been playing with this phone for a week or so and there are a couple of things that bug me. First of all is the annoying vibration every time you touch the screen or any side buttons. Can the vibration be disabled? Secondly, I hate the default touch screen functions like music, video and pictures. I use none of these.I want to have a button that shows the recent call list from the outer screen.I can do this when I have missed a call, but how can I change or add this function to the outer screen so I can see my missed calls whenever I want not just when I have a recent missed call.I use the phone with a headset most of the time which is why I would like to do this without opening the flip.
My phone makes text message sound or vibrate everyday at 4:00 and 8:00 but there's no text message. Is it just my phone? or is there a alert thing going on I don't know?
I have had this phone for 2 days and now suddenly there is no ton or vibration whenever any messages are received. My tone profile is on 'Normal' and the settings are set for it to Vibrate + Tone whenever all messages are received. It was working fine yesterday!
So starting last night I noticed that when I get a instagram notification my phone would chime and it never did that before. No big deal. However this morning I put my phone on mute and when i received a text message my phone chimes. I turned the sound off and defaulted the messages to silent but it still keeps making the same noise even though my phone is on silent.
I've experienced this one before on the Galaxy Nexus. Does your Lumia 1020 have an audible sound when the speaker is engaged? I can hear a slight speaker pop when the speaker turns on and off, this is especially noticeable when using the keyboard and also with notification sounds.
I'm just curious if this is common to all the devices.
When she receives a text message, there is no sound/vibrate notification. In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). We have Verizon for our provider.
Using a curve 9360, Vodafone. When receiving SMS, no alert sounds or icon shows, although SMS is actually received. On the home screen there is no SMS icon, only way to read is via Messages then options list..view folder..SMS inbox. How do I get SMS arrived alert, and SMS icon on home screen?
I am unable to hear the voice of the recipient/ caller in case of incoming/outgoing calls. I am able to hear the songs, default tones etc in the phone, only problem is during call time.
I am guessing that this is properly a WP8 question, but having the Icon, and being new to WP8 (and therefore not knowing if all of these settings are by phone model or across the platform) I figured I'd start by posting it here. My question is, when I add my yahoo mail account through the basic email setup on the phone, will I receive notifications when mail arrives? I know that I could just send myself mail and see, but there are two reasons why this isn't a perfect way to get an answer. First, I am having issues getting other email pushed, and therefore don't always get notifications from the other accounts. Second, there is no push option for yahoo, but you can select it to check the server every so often- with 15 minutes being the shortest.
I don't want there to be an audible notification. My yahoo mail is more of a junk account than anything. There is no option under settings for it to turn notifications on or off, so I am wondering (and hoping) if it simply doesn't have an audible notification?
