View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen she receives a text message, there is no sound/vibrate notification. In settings/sound & notification, the notification volume is turned all the way up, and it's also set to vibrate for calls. She receives audio notification of other messages(Facebook, pintrest). We have Verizon for our provider.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a contract with T-Mobile that has 'unlimited internet access' and I have a Wildfire. I was hoping to use this to enable me to access the internet on a netbook and it seems like the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot function would do the trick. However, when I tried this I get on to a T-Mobile page that is then asking me for more money and it seems that T-Mobile can detect that it is a different device than the phone trying to access the internet.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a Wildfire S a year ago. It was all good until a month ago, when the phone started restaring on its own. At first it used to restart once a day or so.. But of-late the frequency has increased, it keeps doing it every few hours. I tried solving the issue by hard reseting the phone. After which it was fine for a few days and now it has started again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedConsidering buying one of these, either this or the ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco in UK). The Orange San Francisco is cheaper and has a bigger screen with more resolution, but the Wildfire looks more solid. Can I put 2.2 or 2.3 on it though?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was on a bike ride 5 days ago, and had my phone with me, and realized it was on red and had only 11% charge left. I then got home and realized it had turned of because it had ran out of charge, so as usual, put in on charge, however no orange light lit up, and it wouldn't turn on or charge. I have tried 2 different HTC chargers and none of them work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedOne would think that 512 MB of ROM is plenty when you're not that a heavy app downloader. I have a dozen of relatively small apps on my phone memory (which can't be moved to SD card).
Now I was wondering if some of you Wildfire users might have some info on other stuff which takes up ROM memory and can be cleaned up.
I have been unable to send text messages off and on for a week now. I have followed all instructions from HTC and my provider Tmobile. I did a total factory reset and this did not work but for some bizare reason after a couple of days my phone started sending messages, unfortunately this only worked for 2 days!! The only thing I can think that may affect my phone is I dowloaded Skype
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to root my HTC Wildfire S and have been looking around a bit. The first step, so I found, is to unlock the bootloader. This is supposed to be easy: just use the RUUprogramme that can be found on htcdev.com. The problem is that all the versions of the RUU there require a LOWER version of the ROM. I have 2.26.401.3; no RUU seems to be working with this.

Can you set a different ringtone for each contact I have tried but stays on the default ringtone.
