I have been unable to send text messages off and on for a week now. I have followed all instructions from HTC and my provider Tmobile. I did a total factory reset and this did not work but for some bizare reason after a couple of days my phone started sending messages, unfortunately this only worked for 2 days!! The only thing I can think that may affect my phone is I dowloaded Skype

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have been trying for a while now to free up storage on my phone in order to solve the problem and have even inserted a new 4gb memory card into the phone, and have been unable to store apps to the sd card, to free up space on the internal memory of the phone. also i have been unable to direct downloading apps to be saved in the sd card instead of the phones memory.i have a funny feeling though that there is a fault within the phone itself.

I can capture a pic using the camera but when i try to capture a video using the camcorder ...it just beeps and then nothing happens..nothing is recorded ...am i doing something wrong.

I was hoping to use this to enable me to access the internet on a netbook and it seems like the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot function would do the trick.However, when I tried this I get on to a T-Mobile page that is then asking me for more money and it seems that T-Mobile can detect that it is a different device than the phone trying to access the internet.

I had no problem with sending sms till I sent MMS once and it didnt work. The symbol of moving envelope just came up in the upper part of display and it didnt disapeared since. From that moment I cant send any SMS or MMS, I can recieve them but not send. I tried to reset phone, change my sim but the problem is still the same - I cant send sms or mms and the symbol of envelope is still there. My memory isnt full and everything seems to be fine.

I have checked all possible things including my network, the message settings etc. I am able to choose contacts and type messages but when I am trying to send it it gets hanged , the track pad doesnot send it...even if I try clicking the green tab for options to choose,it doesnot wrk...as a result I have to press back, once i press back i see the typed message highlighted in green in my message box and if i click on it it goes away.The sent outbox doesnot show that the message is sent also when i enquire with the recipient they inform that message is not delivered. Could anybody advice why this can happen? also is this due to some virus? To say it's frustrating is an understatement.My latest problem is that I am unable to send SMS. I keep getting a red cross and Call barred reply. I am able to receive SMS as well as make and receive phone calls. I pulled my sim out of my blackberry and put it in another phone to be sure that it wasn't my carrier (MTN) that had a problem. I was able to send the SMS with another phone.

As I noticed, in "Mobile network settings" the "SMS center" field is showing as "<Not set>", and If I try to set to some number, it stays the same.

The SMS settings in Text Messaging -> Options is also gone. I used to be able to send SMS. I've done soft and hard reset but the problem persists. I have big problem with sending emails because i can't. I have personel mail account with my hosting and i retrieve all messages from my inbox but i can't send a mail.
I tried gmail account and it's works fine..
I configured my account with pop and imap (my mail server supports both). Both configuration retrieve mails but didn't sent! Always same error "Unable to send message: Name Surname <email@account.com>"
By the way I'm from Turkey and in the Turkey smtp 25 port is closed, we're using #587 port and i configured at the email account installation.
Have only had this phone about 3 weeks and already starting to have various problems with it. Couldn't afford £9 a month insurance, but kind of wish I had done now.Can receive but cant send any texts any more. All texts try to send 3 or 4 times before failing. No explanation, just comes up with a red warning that says it has failed.Any idea how to make texting work again?

What can be the possible problem if it's not the mms settings and there is an agreement between mobile providers in these countries to send mms messages?
I have just got the lumia 710. I am unable to send MMS or use mobile data. I am on the Vodafone network. I have rang them several times regarding this problem and they have checked that all is ok at there end and say that the APN settings need doing. I have done this and still nothing.
