I've lost the capability to send SMS messages. It's always switching to MMS mode even if I've set it up to always send text-only message as SMS. The SMS settings in Text Messaging -> Options is also gone. I used to be able to send SMS. I've done soft and hard reset but the problem persists. How can I get the SMS settings back in Text Messaging -> Options screen?

I'm not able to send pictures by text messages. On my end, it says the picture sent. But the recipient never gets it. I used to be to send pictures fine. To my knowledge nothing has changed on my phone.

Also, I tried to open some attachments in an email and the phone said "timeout for sending request. Resend" When I pushed "yes" then the phone said "more request cannot be completed. I have 157361192 Bytes of free space.A few days ago I had trouble sending sms messages. It would either get laggy, or be fine as I"m composing it, but lag completely when I press the 'enter' or 'send' button, and an error that says this will show:"Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(483) is not responding; process terminated"It has been going on for about the third day now. I've tried both soft and hard restarting, and none of it works. My BBM and other messaging services works fine. (Except the KakaoTalk application, too; it very rarely works although it has just released the official Blackberry version... But even before that I had that problem for a while; it worked fine before. I click to open the application and nothing comes up, instead my whole screen freezes, but when I press the red button it get's back to normal. but that's not the main concern for me at the moment.

The internet connection status said "not connected " and when I returned home the emails were sent. fine.

I can send normal emails with just text etc but photos are coming up with the red X and the message is 'general failure'. I've been through all my setttings etc and can't figure out why this has happened as it was working fine.I have also checked encryption is off, tried resizing pictures and rebooting too many times to count!

View 1 Replies View RelatedLet the guy in the store "sync" with Desktop Manager. No link through enterprise server until I can get to office computer but that's ok. I am trying to work through MSN account. But it won't receive emails, it won't send emails and it won't let me change the set up.
When I go into setup, it asks for the user name and password. I use my msn user name (inclusive of the @msn.com) and it says it is too short and must be 4 characters! It is! If I leave off the @msn.com, it says my info is wrong.
And I can't figure out how to remove the email account so I can try setting it up again.I did try to set up my gmail account - same issue.

I had no problem with sending sms till I sent MMS once and it didnt work. The symbol of moving envelope just came up in the upper part of display and it didnt disapeared since. From that moment I cant send any SMS or MMS, I can recieve them but not send. I tried to reset phone, change my sim but the problem is still the same - I cant send sms or mms and the symbol of envelope is still there. My memory isnt full and everything seems to be fine.

I have checked all possible things including my network, the message settings etc. I am able to choose contacts and type messages but when I am trying to send it it gets hanged , the track pad doesnot send it...even if I try clicking the green tab for options to choose,it doesnot wrk...as a result I have to press back, once i press back i see the typed message highlighted in green in my message box and if i click on it it goes away.The sent outbox doesnot show that the message is sent also when i enquire with the recipient they inform that message is not delivered. Could anybody advice why this can happen? also is this due to some virus? To say it's frustrating is an understatement.My latest problem is that I am unable to send SMS. I keep getting a red cross and Call barred reply. I am able to receive SMS as well as make and receive phone calls. I pulled my sim out of my blackberry and put it in another phone to be sure that it wasn't my carrier (MTN) that had a problem. I was able to send the SMS with another phone.

As I noticed, in "Mobile network settings" the "SMS center" field is showing as "<Not set>", and If I try to set to some number, it stays the same.
