BB Torch :: Unable To Send Or Reply
Nov 5, 2010I'm a Telus user; Torch 9800; roaming in HI using AAT. Can receive messages no problem. Cannot reply; send new mssges.; no BBM; unable to 'Backup with BB Protect.

View 1 RepliesI have noticed that i am unable to send an email to a person if i enter the email in the TO: section of the compose email. If i am replying to an email or clicking on a link like craigslist it works fine. If i am sending the email to a contact with a stored email address it works fine.
But if i just enter the email address for instance JRSpero@gmail.com the little send box in the upper right corner is not bright and is not able to be selected.
I upgraded to the 6.0 OS software this morning. I am not sure what happened but I am receiving emails and unable to reply to them. I have gone to the settings tab and tried to add my email and the phone either freezes or goes back to the main setting page. I have tried wiping the phone, doing hard resets and nothing is working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen my daughter sends me a text from her Blackberry Torch I cannot simply reply to it. I can type a response but it will not send. I can however go into my contacts and hit send msg to her that way but it is frustrating, time consuming and annoying.

I can receive email but I cannot reply to it since I cannot send out messages. I have reported this over the phone to a Nokia Hotline but no solution has been found. In one of my trips to Manila I went to a Nokia Care Center in SM MOA and they also said nothing is wrong with my phone ,they claim that with their own sim card they can send and receive messages . So Again I went Smart Iloilo Philippines where they also told me nothing is wrong with the with the operator settings.
I really don't know where to turn to; I got this E75 because I need the push email services badly. My user name in the Nokia messaging is and my Cel phone number is. Is this a software or hardware problem and has anybody encountered a similar problem
We recently moved a client of ours back in-house with an exchange server. There are about 5 users that use BlackBerry smartphones. All of the smartphones were configured and activated without issue and are working fine... except 1. This one particular phone cannot reply to messages (Gets the red "X"). It can however compose a new email and send without issue.I've tried deleting the Desktop CMIME service book and resending, to no avail Full wipe and reactivation, to no avail I used the sendastool to reconfigure send as permissions for this user and repeated the steps above, to no avail.I'm just puzzled at this point as to why this one phone cannot send reply emails (again, sending new is no issue!) Granted, i'm not on location and am not seeing exactly what the user is doing, but he has been using his blackberry for years and knows how to send email/reply, etc.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've lost the capability to send SMS messages. It's always switching to MMS mode even if I've set it up to always send text-only message as SMS. The SMS settings in Text Messaging -> Options is also gone. I used to be able to send SMS. I've done soft and hard reset but the problem persists. How can I get the SMS settings back in Text Messaging -> Options screen?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can receive emails on my unlocked HTC Desire S and can on my original unlocked HTC Desire but cannot reply or send fresh email on either. The settings are OK as they worked previously, in fact only minutes earlier on the Desire S.When satisfied it all worked OK I took the Vodafone SIM out of the Desire S and put it in the Desire to see if the email issue still existed. It did. I put the SIM back in the Desire S and the problem has replicated itself. Now all I can do is receiveI am reluctant to put the SIM in my unlocked Samsung Galaxy S2 in case the problem occurs again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI retired my Blackberry to get on board the smart phone train and after 2 1/2 weeks with my Atrix 4G I am barely able to use e-mail. I'm not a techie but fairly competent with a post grad education and spent over 2 hours with a true techno geek that could not find a solution that only after spending a couple hours in the local AT&T retail center with their gurus trying to determine if the phone was defective.
After reading dozens of posts on outgoing e-mail problems, there are so many different issues that I cannot believe AT&T can market this phone "for the business man" T can market this phone T can market this phone
I can receive email just fine from my Atrix 4G phone, but I can't reply or send an email. It tries to go, but then I get a message that says it wasn't sent. I have gotten with our IT person, and all the settings seem to be right. Others aren't haveing problems sending from thier phones.
View 10 Replies View RelatedEverything works like a charm, I can send e-mails, and receive them and everything else this wonderful little piece if outstanding technology is supposed to do, ... except reply to an email. I've read many, many solutions found on the internet all day today to the point I am exhausted, so I have no other choice than to take some of your valuable time to assist me. I did the Options/Advanced/Service Book delete and restore CMIME trick and no change.

I can now receive email, but I cannot send / reply to emails. The only option I get is to "Save Draft".
I can receive and answer emails, but I just can't write and send a new one... None of my email addresses works.

I've read somewhere on the internet that removing the cmime service book entry and after a minute replace it by via the menu. But this did not fix this problem. I have two accounts. Also, another wierd thing is I set up my profile so that I can have an alert when email messages come in and it does not work. All the other notifications work fine with that profile and the try me works fine but does not work when email messages come in.
I've had my new phone for about a week. I can recieve emails but after I reply and want to send, there is no send icon or send option in the options list. Also, I tried to open some attachments in an email and the phone said "timeout for sending request. Resend" When I pushed "yes" then the phone said "more request cannot be completed. Service book information not found"

I have 157361192 Bytes of free space.A few days ago I had trouble sending sms messages. It would either get laggy, or be fine as I"m composing it, but lag completely when I press the 'enter' or 'send' button, and an error that says this will show:"Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(483) is not responding; process terminated"It has been going on for about the third day now. I've tried both soft and hard restarting, and none of it works. My BBM and other messaging services works fine. (Except the KakaoTalk application, too; it very rarely works although it has just released the official Blackberry version... But even before that I had that problem for a while; it worked fine before. I click to open the application and nothing comes up, instead my whole screen freezes, but when I press the red button it get's back to normal. but that's not the main concern for me at the moment.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have read all I can on this issue and it hasn't helped. I have a strange and dare I say new fault with my 9520. I can't send or forward emails BUT I can reply to an email. I am on BIS with O2UK and when I try and send, the option is just not in the menu and the mail symbol (for send) remains greyed out when I try and send or forward what I compose or receive.
All other data services are working and I have sent service books a hundred times and even tried 3 different OS's after doing security wipe!
I use the Tour on the Verizon network. This morning I went to start a new email and usually I type the first letter and all contacts starting with a letter J for example will come up - - But nothing comes up! I checked my phonebook and all contacts are in there like normal, but my email won't pick any up. I can type the whole name of a person I want to email and it's not linking it to my contact list/phone book like normal.

The internet connection status said "not connected " and when I returned home the emails were sent. fine.

I can send normal emails with just text etc but photos are coming up with the red X and the message is 'general failure'. I've been through all my setttings etc and can't figure out why this has happened as it was working fine.I have also checked encryption is off, tried resizing pictures and rebooting too many times to count!
