May 8, 2012I can send iMessages from my iPhone 4s, but not texts. The blue ones send fine, but the green ones just fail and display the red exclamation mark. I don't have an iPad, so don't really have any need for the iMessages, but I need the text to work!

Frequently, my texts and imessages won't send, the little sending bar stops a little before the end. So I close my messaging app and reopen it to find all the spaces where my text conversations are now replaced with blank spaces. After a few seconds, the "write new message" window opens, and I am able to choose a contact to send to and type a message but the send button doesn't work.
Closing and reopening the app again makes no change. In addition, photos are also blurred, and completely freeze the screen when I tap them. So far my only temporary solution has been to do a reset by holding the home and power buttons, but it only lasts a short while (10 minutes?) before the above problem repeats itself. I am becoming very tired of restarting my phone, and even after restarting, the conflict is not always resolved. I have thought about getting a new phone, although mine is only a year and a half old, but I fear the problem will carry over onto a new phone if perhaps the issue is too many photos and messages?

Jun 20, 2012I have an iphone 4s with AT&T service. I have had 2 previous models of the iphone with AT&T and not had a problem before. However, since I have upgraded to the 4s, I cannot send or receive texts to people that still have a 3gs and it also seems to people with Samsung phones. From what I know, everyone is on AT&T for their service. This is very inconveinent and information is not coming across when we assume the text has gone through.

Jun 7, 2012I have a iPhone 4 that signed up to Sprint, and I've had this for 5 months and nothing happened. Now my iPhone is not sending text messages or sending calls. Even when my Sprint signal is high, it doesn't seem for the text messages to go through or heck not even the calling. Only when my iPhone is in Extended "Roaming" it could send texts and calls. Is there any suggestions into solving this issue? Or do I need to replace this iPhone? I tried turning it off and on (didn't work), and Restoring the iPhone (still didn't work).

May 21, 2010Have only had this phone about 3 weeks and already starting to have various problems with it. Couldn't afford £9 a month insurance, but kind of wish I had done now.Can receive but cant send any texts any more. All texts try to send 3 or 4 times before failing. No explanation, just comes up with a red warning that says it has failed.Any idea how to make texting work again?

I'm not sure if it's related to the iOS update but i think it was working ok after that?I have a iPhone 4, she has a 3GS. Apr 18, 2012I have an iphone 4s. Suddenly I was no longer able to receive imessages and the messages I sent to other iphon users were sending as text messages instead of imessages. I did a network reset which didnt work. Then i went into settings and toggled the imessage button. After doing that it now allows me to send imessages as an sms but says i can only be reached for messgaes at my email address and won't allow me to choose my phone number to get messgae. So now I can send imessages but they apepar to come from email account not my phone number.

Jun 5, 2014I'm using a fully updated 5s and getting a delivery failure message whenever I send pics via iMessage. The strange thing is that the people I'm messaging are receiving the messgaes and pics despite the error message on my side. I've talked with some other iPhone users and they are currently having the same issue but I don't see anything online about the problem. I guess it's not a big deal since the messages are being sent.Â
