Why does my 4S suddenly switch to text messages when it has been sending to the same person as imessages? I am connected to wifi and have no cell service where I am, so the text errors out. Can I force it to send as an imessage?

I Can send i messages to other phones but my daughter can't send or receive them. As far as I know she hasn't changed any settings . Text messages are fine though.

I Often times I'll get a " message failed" message while trying to send text or iMessages to friends. The only way it'll eventually send is if I dekete tge entire message thread. Any way I can fix this problem on my iPhone 6 plus?

Just recently I have had some problems sending normal text messages..The problem is when I want to send a text I go to my contacts and try to send a sms message, but instead of opening up a conversation window I get taken straight to my recieved messages... The procedure for sending an international text message is simple: enter 011, followed by the country code, and then the phone number. It has never worked. Each time, I get the following error message -- "Message Send Failure". Any ideas for fixing this problem? What surprises me most is that I have an HTC Trophy with the same Mobile Service provider. No problem exists with the HTC Trophy for sending international text messages.

I would like to get receipts for the text messages I send. Others have said to change this in message settings. But the option doesn't appear in message settings. The only options that appear are:
iMessage
MMS Messaging
Group Messaging
Show Subject Field
Character Count.
Whats strange is that my wife has an identical iPhone running the same iOS version (5.1.1) - but her message settings DO include the option to set receipts.
