IPhone :: Unable To Send Or Receive Texts Between 4s And Particular Phones?

I have an iphone 4s with AT&T service. I have had 2 previous models of the iphone with AT&T and not had a problem before. However, since I have upgraded to the 4s, I cannot send or receive texts to people that still have a 3gs and it also seems to people with Samsung phones. From what I know, everyone is on AT&T for their service. This is very inconveinent and information is not coming across when we assume the text has gone through.

I have an iphone 3gs and have changed the apn setting for straight talk and can send and receive mms messages with other apple products but am unable to do so with other carriers.

My iPhone won't let me send texts to someone who used to have an iPhone but doesn't anymore. I can receive texts from them but can't send them texts. Says its an invalid number.

My iPhone 4S has been working on and off for as long as I've had it. There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens.When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

I haqve just moved to Tenerife and got a movistar sim. I can receive calls and texts but cant send texts. I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". What do I do?

Off-topic note: I wasn't sure whether to post this in the Help section or the Hacks section, but I found similar problems in this topic so I decided to post here.Anyway, self-explanatory. I am unable to receive MMS from other phones.I have a iPhone 3gs unlocked (T-mobile).I get the error about message resolution size.I've tried every solution found on forums. The most recent one I've tried is this one http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=821026 .
The weird thing is, it used to work before...At default, it didn't work, so I enabled it. Then it didn't work again, so I fixed it...then broke again and so I fixed it one more time. This time it doesn't work at all.And so I've tried a variety of different things found on countless forums. I've also went into Cydia and downloaded the T-Mobile prepaid package or whatever. I tried all 6 of them. And each time I tried new network settings I restarted my phone.Oh and I have 3.0 software. Jailbroken and unlocked. Also, I can receive MMS from other iPhones, but not other phones.Any suggestions? And no I don't remember the settings that I've used when I fixed the problem. But I'm pretty sure I've used them after going through a number of familiar forums with network settings.So in short
-Can send mms to any phones
-Can only receive from iPhones
-Can't receive from phones other than iPhones

My mother has a new iPhone 4s and 2wks ago stopped receiving texts from my android phone. Both of us on AT&T...have since installed the new iOS on her 4s, no change. Power cycling, no change.

I have restored my iPhone in both standard and DFU mode while setting up a new iPhone everytime still no luck. I have tried the sim card in another iPhone and the sim card works perfectly fine.
I have full bars, on t-mobile which the phone is locked to.
The mobile internet works absolutely fine. When i try ringing 150 it disconnects straight away saying "call ended" I have not tried another sim card in the phone.

I got the iPhone 5S 16GB less than two weeks ago. I did the update after purchasing and everything has been fine. My internet, apps, texts all stopped working last night. I have restored to factory settings, taken out the SIM card, and wiped the phone clean 3 times. I plan on paying a visit to my carrier today. I have Apple Care and insurance, so if the problem cannot be fixed, I will need them to supply me with a new phone.

I recently moved away from home for school and where I moved to I'm roaming constantly. My phone started not receiving or sending texts to people without iMessage. I turned my iMessage off to try to send myself a text and make the others come through and now my iMessage won't activate. I can only receive phone calls now. I've tried everything to fix it. Turned my phone off and on, reset all my settings. Nothing works.

My phone doesn't send or receive any SMS or phone calls even with full service bars available. For out going texts, the "sending bar" never completely loads. For some reason, this only happens in my city. I was away in London for the weekend and it worked perfectly fine as soon as I left the vicinity of my city. When I got back to my home, it stopped working again. I don't know if this is a coincidence, or if it just doesn't work.

I am in multiple group texts but for some reason with one specific group (the other users all have Iphones) I cannot recieve any text messages from them in the group? My phone is completely updated and, as I just mentioned, texting works perfectly fine with everyone else...

I purchased an iPhone 4 refurbished for £119 from an OOW replacement and was told i would have a 90 day warranty. 14 days on, and I am having an error which says 'Unable to recieve calls and texts please restore' or something similar, and then the service goes. I have been on My Support Profile, and it says my warranty has expired, im not the best at maths but im ppretty sure my warranty is due to expire in roughly 76 days. However every time i have restored it has been via back up, is setting up as new Phone likely to fix the issue? I am very upset about this and want to know if the phone keeps faulting and I take the reciept i recieved via email after the service with me will they give me yet another replacement? PS I have restored 3 times now.

X10a 2.1 I can't receive txts/mms but I can send them. It was working fine yesterday, but then out of nowhere it stopped working, I've been asking friends from different carriers, emails, etc to send me TXTs and MMS but I still can't receive them, I contacted my Network and they did OTA update, I even did it manually deleting the APN searching for the network etc. but same issue, I can send txts/mms but I can NOT receive them.

I just bought my BB curve of a friend just b4 xmas, it was working fine brand new not even opened but after a couple of days it just stopped letting me send and receive txt messages and calls it just keeps saying call failed ? I've trIed rebooting it, wiped it and went though even option but no joy, I can still use the internet an get emails ok everything else on it works fine.
