Nokia :: N95 - Unable To Send Messages - Says A Resend Time Then Says Failed And Comes Up With Unable To Send
Apr 16, 2010Quick question I have a nokia N95 phone but it wont let me send messages it puts them in the outbox, says a resend time then says failed and comes up with un able to send... When I press details it says "General: memory full. Close some applications and try again".... I have no applications
open and have pressed and held the menu button to check and defiantly don't. I have turned it off And on, re installed message settings, deleted stuff, even reinstalled factory settings and its still not working id much appreciate some help. It did the same thing on Tuesday but was fine when I woke up Wednesday morning. It did it again 10pm Wednesday night and is still the same and its Friday xx I have posted this message on facebook and got told to ask here. I don't know if there is already a topic on this, but I really want to sort this problem out. I have always had Ionians and they have usually been very reliable...

Jul 25, 2010I have an unlocked X10 mini pro, and I have a T-Mobile subscriptions. I'm able to call other numbers and receives calls, and to receive sms messages, but unable to send. As I noticed, in "Mobile network settings" the "SMS center" field is showing as "<Not set>", and If I try to set to some number, it stays the same.

Mar 16, 2012i cant send SMS, it says in the outbox, Resend at "time"... then it doesnt send anymore. it's been a week since i have this problem, i don't think it's the sim card that has defect because i tried to change my Sim Card but i still have the same problem... good thing is i can receive texts, the thing is i cant reply on them.

Oct 23, 2010My x10 mini pro is was working just fine until 3 days ago. But all of a sudden, it wasn't letting me send sms anymore. I still am able to receive sms though. Its just the problem with sending sms.Whenever i try to send an sms, it shows 'sending' for like 4 seconds and then shows 'could not send'.Been having this issue since 3 days and it still persists.Let me tell you what all i have done. (Except for restarting the phone a million times)
1. Network tower issue: To check if the issue was with the tower, i moved a good 30 miles away to another tower and it still had the issue. Plus, my other friends living just next door are able to send and receive sms through the same network operator.
2. Phone software issue: To check if it was an issue with the phone, i flashed my phone with the pc companion and installed a fresh copy of android 2.1. But the problem persists.
3. Sim: I removed and re-inserted the sim card a few times just to make sure the contact was proper with the chip. And it was properly connected.Now, the only thing thats left in my mind is if my operator changed the message centre number of the network.But then, there's no way of changing or editing the message centre number in android 2.1.It used to be in Home screen > Settings > Wireless controls > Mobile networks > SMS centre in 1.6.But unfortunately, it aint there anymore in 2.1.

Turning the phone off and on doesn't help and the failing applications aren't there in Settings > Applications > Running Services, so I've performed Factory Data Reset, not SD card, then done all my settings again. This is really bugging me.
The phone is up to date, with Android version 2.3.4

Aug 15, 2010I had no problem with sending sms till I sent MMS once and it didnt work. The symbol of moving envelope just came up in the upper part of display and it didnt disapeared since. From that moment I cant send any SMS or MMS, I can recieve them but not send. I tried to reset phone, change my sim but the problem is still the same - I cant send sms or mms and the symbol of envelope is still there. My memory isnt full and everything seems to be fine.

To say it's frustrating is an understatement.My latest problem is that I am unable to send SMS. I keep getting a red cross and Call barred reply. I am able to receive SMS as well as make and receive phone calls. I pulled my sim out of my blackberry and put it in another phone to be sure that it wasn't my carrier (MTN) that had a problem.
