Yesterday I updated my phone to 5.1.1 and am unable to send receive messages on my phone. I get lot of important messages. I updated through pc companion suite. Did normal update and restarted my phone.

I've made 50 text messages. I have 780 songs and 10 videos and 200 pictures. Anyone else having this problem? Or anyone that can suggest how to fix this? I wonder if I might have misstyped in the ime or SSID info on the at&t page incorrectly on that one unit. This is a non jail broken phone. Just a regular 3g.

I know that we can both receive and send international texts because we text a mutual friend in Australia. I checked the participating carriers in Norway. His carrier, Netcom, is on that list. Now I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 and he has a Nokia. I'm not sure of the model.

Why cannt I send and receive picture messages from my iphone. I am using ipbone 3 with 3g and with data plan with T-Mobile. All types of trouble shooting have been done with my carrier without positive result in resulving the issue. A collegue in my office with iphone he is using with Spring has the same problem. How come other cellphone users are able to exchange photos and those of us with ihone could not? Considering the cost of iphone, I believe it will shameful if could fail to make these device work perfectly. The email sent to me by Apple does not contain anything new other than telling me to back-up, erase the phone contents and relauch it. It was done without any change.

But one problem i'am having trouble with sending and receiving text messages. I have called att customer care numerous times and powered cycled my phone as many times as I can count but still nothing, I have also checked to see if the "service center" number is correct and it is, I still have no clue what it could be. When i send an sms text message and scroll up to the message it says "sent" and the date and time but i ask the recipient if he/she has received the text but still nothing.

1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
Have had this problem since I got the phone (the only problem I have with it btw). Can connect to the internet just fine. But whether I download the MMS settings or manually input them. When I send an MMS it gets Queued when I recieve one, I hit download but it doesn't download.

neither my GPRS work nor MMS. If I remove APN type = mms than my GPRS start to work again normally. Even if I put APN = mms still MMS would not work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI got the iPhone 5S 16GB less than two weeks ago. I did the update after purchasing and everything has been fine. My internet, apps, texts all stopped working last night. I have restored to factory settings, taken out the SIM card, and wiped the phone clean 3 times. I plan on paying a visit to my carrier today. I have Apple Care and insurance, so if the problem cannot be fixed, I will need them to supply me with a new phone.
