View 3 Replies View RelatedMy text notification only goes once. I need it to keep going until I look at the text.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe s5 had the setting for messages called "repeat message alert" under messages-setting-notification -repeat message alert. You could set it to Never/every 2 minutes/every 10 minutes.
I can't get text messages to make audible reminder alert, which means I have to constantly look at the screen and not listen for the beep.
Sound notification is on. My text message sound and light are not working call sounds are. What do I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a new text or email if I unlock my phone and touch the email or message app and read or delete it, it still shows the notification in the upper left. If I then lock my phone and unlock it again it still shows the notification on the lock screen. I have gone and cleared the cache and data from the message app and restarted. The only way it goes away is if I swipe it away on the lock screen or select it from the lock screen and view/delete after it opens.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S6 Edge, and I am having an issue with viewing photos on the phone. When I view photos with the Photos app (google plus photos app), zooming in does not reveal any additional detail and the photo looks very blurry. When I use the built in Gallery app, however, I can zoom in and see very crisp detail in the image. I know it isn't an issue with the image itself, because I can view it fine in the Gallery app. Even in the Photos app, if I view the details of the image, it shows the full resolution of the image, but when I zoom in the photo is very blurry.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHow do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst the notification sound I get when I receive a text message is not the notification sound I selected in the sound settings. Not sure why that is?
Also, can you have a quieter text message volume but keeping the ringer high? I want to hear my phone at work, but don't need to be blasted with a text message notification ever time I recieve one.
Okay I am having problems changing the sound to notify you of new incoming text messages and I was hoping someone could help me.
Phone: Telus LG IQ
OS: WM 6.5
-I have tried both mp3 and wav formats
-Placed them in the root directory of my microSD card and the windows folder on my phone itself.
-I don't have a visible application datasounds folder on my microSD card, which is the only other location I have read that I should put them in. (I have tried to show hidden files)
The problem is I cannot get any of the files to show up to select them in Message Settings > Notifications > New Text Message > Example.mp3
I was hard resetting my iPhone 5 today (iOS 7.1.1).
Just as it was a millisecond from turning off, I received a text.
When it turned back on, I saw the text's body in the notification center, but there was no sender identification.
When I open the Messages app icon, there's no message, and the notification WON'T GO AWAY.Â
I've asked someone to text me again, there was a notification for 2 messages unread instead of one, but when I opened it and read their text, it went back to 1 and it still won't disappear. Furthermore, I've hard reset my iPhone once more, turned it off and back one, and tried syncing it with my computer, all futile attempts to solve my problem.Â
I guess it's worth mentioning that I cleared the message from my notification center.
My S5 receives new text notifications, shows sender, but when I open default text app the messages don't appear at all. I have no other text apps.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a blackberry curve 9300, and I love it excpet I'm having problems with text message notifiers. Usually, when you have a new text message, a yellow envelope pops up along with how many text messages you have. Well mine wont tell me how many text messages I have anymore, and it just randomly stopped working one day.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have searched high and low for a way to copy and paste text from a web site in Chrome using the Xperia z3v. I've tried a long tap, a double tap, a triple tap - nothing works.

I am able to select text, copy and paste it in a Word doc, however. There must be some way to do this on a web site in Chrome. I'm certain I am not trying to select text that is really an image. I am trying to copy text. Here is the link where I'm trying to get the text. It's a recipe. [URL] ....

Maybe I should try to get Firefox for smart phones and see if that works.
so I notice when I get a new blackberry bold 9650 I notice that I could receive a cool looking text message icon. However, I need to figure out how could I transfer all my data. The blackberry desk manager never did work on my old phone witch. After plugging in the new phone on my PC it asked if I wanted to transfer my data... So I did.I realized that when I was receiving text messages they were looking more like email icons. I tried to look up in my options and I can't find anything.
View 1 Replies View Relateddoes anyone know how to change the sound for a text message notification? If I go to Settings, Sound and Display, Notification Ringtone, and change it, it will only change the sound for say email notifications? I cant change the sound of a text message notifcation?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I get a text message from anyone, I get this notification chirp sound that is VERY loud. Once I was walking down the hall at work with it in my hand and the alarm went off. Someone jokingly said it sounded like a pacemaker alarm going off. Anyway, this notification usually startles me and since I share an office with 3 other people in a cubicle, I don't want this notification going off. I don't text a lot thankfully, but when I do this loud alarm really is annoying to both me and I'm sure to my co-workers.
Is there a way to change it to where I do not receive the notification when I get a text message without turning off the rest of the ringtones (i.e. putting it on vibrate)? Or is there somewhere on the phone itself I can change it? Or at least lower the volume of this notification? It doesn't seem to be in direct correlation with the volume of the phone because I've got the ring volume at 1 so I can keep down the volume, but still hear the ringtone when the phone is sitting on my desk. But this notification tone is REALLY loud. My choices shouldn't be "off" and "really loud".
I am having trouble figuring out how to disabel the text message notification screen that pops up when the Droid 3 is on the car dock. I find this screen to be unnecessary and annoying. It is particularly inconvenient while using navigation. I believe I have been through all the menus, but maybe I'm missing something.
View 5 Replies View RelatedNow that I've had this happen a couple of times and I know I wasn't hallucinating, I wanted to see if anyone else had noticed it.Sometimes, when I get a new text message, I pull down the notification bar, click the notification, and it takes me to a blank text thread, addressed to the person who sent me the message, just as if I was sending a brand new text in a brand new thread to that person. If I back out of it and go back to text messaging, their name is still showing in bold blue, indicating there is a new message, and I can click it and everything is there as expected.
View 2 Replies View Relatedin the text message conversation view, there's only a soft sound alert when new messages are received.even when the screen is off, you get no popup preview or a regular notification sound whatsoever.the only way to keep getting the regular notification & previews is to quit the app each time you send out a text.often times when you are in the middle of something and are unable to focus on the phone itself for the conversation, you forget to quit the message app, then you are totally not aware there have been messages coming in because it only gives you a soft sound alert that's totally unable to hear when you're outside walking, or other similar scenarios
It's been bugging me for years, it's specially annoying when the other person I chat with isn't aware of this issue and ocassionally misses out my messages.i mean,if apple insists that to avoid this problem, the users MUST remember to quit the conversation RIGHT AFTER EVERY SINGLE LINE, this is just absolutely unrealistic.I now do it every time because I'm aware of the issue, but not the other people I have conversations with.I've had too many situations where I had to wait for a long time to receive response only to find out that the other person wasn't aware the new text messages, because it was simply too soft to hear, and completely no other sort of things to notify you with.so i wonder if there really isn't a way to change the notification behavior, cuz apparently it's impossible that I make everybody I send text to change their habits just for this.

It is extremely annoying to be on the phone and have a text come through with the volume in your ear and the vibration.
