Galaxy S6 Edge :: Photos Blurry When Viewed Using Photos App But Clear When Viewed Using Galley App?
May 24, 2015
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge, and I am having an issue with viewing photos on the phone. When I view photos with the Photos app (google plus photos app), zooming in does not reveal any additional detail and the photo looks very blurry. When I use the built in Gallery app, however, I can zoom in and see very crisp detail in the image. I know it isn't an issue with the image itself, because I can view it fine in the Gallery app. Even in the Photos app, if I view the details of the image, it shows the full resolution of the image, but when I zoom in the photo is very blurry.
Not sure how this changed. Use to be able to simply view videos and photos on websites, but now they must be downloaded to be viewed, which isn't ideal. Would love to go back to just viewing, but can't find settings to make this happen anywhere.
I properly close out open Windows (I think). How I can make it just open to the homepage whenever I launch it? I'm using whatever the default browser is ...
I've had my xperia mini pro now for a few weeks and recently when I go to look back at my photos in the gallery a good number of them display a little grey square with a jagged line through it and since a few days ago about 20 of my photos have been corrupt. What I could do to avoid this happening in the future? This phone takes good photos but why they keep disappearing.
I was just wondering, does your S5 has shaky camera too ? When im indoors and take photos, when i zoom in they are almost all blurry. And it was not so low lighted situation. It was pretty bright actually. Outdoors it seems fine but indoors it's has more noise then my S3. Is this normal ? And front camera is definitely better on S3.
I have some pictures and videos taken in my Sony Ericsson Neo V. But some of pictures and vedios cannot be viewed. This is strange that some are ok and some are not ok in the xperia gallery. A grey pic can be seen for which that cannot be viewed. If I download to a computer, It downloads. When I try to open in the computer, It says "Windows cannot open the file". I do not have now any clue to view those.
I suddenly get this message when I try to open image attachments from my email. JPG, GIF, any image attachments. I have have no problem doing this up until today. I'm at a loss as to why this suddenly happened. I've pulled the battery several times. Made sure that the attachment service is listed in my core apps, it is.
I attached some jpegs as album arts to mp3s using Itunes 10.4.1.10. When I copy this to my 8GB Micro SD and play it through Music player these photos won't appear and I am presented the default image of the corresponding theme applied. However these album arts appear on my Windows 7 explorer window...
A one hour clip can be viewed on the phone but when I connect to windows 7 via usb, it is not listed in the explorer so I cannot transfer it. The files before and after are there and there is a number missing.
1. Quite a while ago (months) I had an email from RIM / blackberry whatever saying there was a software update (OS 5) and to follow the links to upgrade etc or use the wireless update on my phone - which just told me there were no new updates. After researching for a bit I found what I thought would allow me to get the OS software but I had to fill in 'company name' to continue (mandatory box to fill in) I'm just a student I have no company2. When I download specific apps my BB just buggers up totally, any theme not by RIM makes my BB run incredibly SLOW and new messages cannot be viewed despite the notification appearing. This has happened with apps such as paypal and subway card which you would think would work well.
This has even happened with the new spring themes from RIM - so I have to remove them as soon as downloading them. If this has happened to anyone else and has fixed this problem or has any knowledge of what I could so that would be amazingDevice info:carrier: Orange (UK)Model and OS: 8520, v4.6.1.314Apps and free spaceile free: 101429410 bytes Did a battery pull fix your issue? I'm using a Bold 9780. If i try to download a word attachment on my email, it says 'This attachment type cannot be viewed on your device'. I could open them on my Bold 9700. Do i need to buy a premium pack.
I recently went and got the Nokia 1020 phone for the camera. I was really disappointed when I realized the pics that were viewed on the phone where only 5mp pics and that you had to hook it up to a computer to view the hi-res pics. Well I accidentally discovered a way to view the hi-res pics on the phone though you do still need to hook up to a pc. I was going to cut and paste the hi-res files to my pics folder when my hand slipped or had a spasm or something but whatever happened the next thing I know it was copying the pics back to the same folder on the phone. All the images said hi-res copy were you could see a preview like you can the low res images. So to verify I opened the camera roll on the phone and there they are both the low-res and hi-res of each pic. Well now if only we could do this without hooking up to a PC at all.
Just got my 9700 a few weeks ago. The screen is fantastic, the pictures & photos that I transferred to my SD card are shown on the screen with razor sharpness. At least for a while. Then I noticed that when I viewed the photos again from Media -> Pictures, the photos becomes less sharp and appear heavily compressed. This is for both the thumbnail view and the fullscreen sroll view. Does anyone noticed this?
But when I click on Fit to Screen or View Actual Size, the photos become razor sharp again. How do I get the photos to appear razor sharp in the fullscreen scroll view (where I can scroll left and right for next/previous photo)?
If there are no solution to the above, is there any 3rd party app that will allow us to view the photos in fullscreen (and can be scrolled left or right) in full razor sharpness?
I have searched high and low for a way to copy and paste text from a web site in Chrome using the Xperia z3v. I've tried a long tap, a double tap, a triple tap - nothing works.
I am able to select text, copy and paste it in a Word doc, however. There must be some way to do this on a web site in Chrome. I'm certain I am not trying to select text that is really an image. I am trying to copy text. Here is the link where I'm trying to get the text. It's a recipe. [URL] ....
Maybe I should try to get Firefox for smart phones and see if that works.
Another discovery about iPhone iOS.. You can't access the missed calls list or call log while your on an active phone call .. Example: you get a phone call from someone .. Then you hang up ... You call his manager and tell him, this someone called me .. The manager requests that someone's phone number .. You multi task iPhone while on the line to find the log list of recent calls Can't access the log list !!! Why??!! Because it's part of the "make a phone call" function and you can't access that because your already making a phone call .. Log list should also be part of the contacts or anywhere we can find the log while on a phone call with anyone !
Transferred from a GS4 to new GS6E, and the woman at Verizon couldn't take the time of transferring my photos. So, she gave me my memory card that was in my GS4, and said "it's easy to transfer from here to the new phone". Ummm, not so easy. I downloaded the pics to my Mac desktop, but even with a USB cord, the phone isn't accepting the photos.
Goal: When plugging the phone into my PC it will downloads all the pictures in the “Gallery”(only) to a designated folder of my choosing via Windows 7’s “import pictures and video”.
I have not been able to accomplish this simple task. When I plug my phone in to my PC it usually says there are no new pictures (when there actually are new pictures). If I open the “Gallery” and then plug the phone in to the PC, it then precedes to scan the phone’s entire drive for new pictures. This takes a while it does get the photos from the “Gallery” along with tons of unwanted photos scattered throughout the phone’s drive.
Is there any way to direct Windows “import pictures and videos” to a specific folder(DCIM/Camera)? This worked extremely effectively with iPhone 5, but I’m thinking it can’t be done with the S6. It was super simple; just plug it in and presto, done.
Do have to use a 3rd party app to accomplish this with the S6?
My new 808 is fantastic! However when the display is viewed at an angle of about 20 degrees or more the whites shown become blue. This is more evident when I look at Google homepage because of the white background.
On all my previous Samsung Galaxy phones I could display my Picasa photos in the gallery, but I cannot work out how to do this with the S6 Edge (or even if it can be done)? I liked the feature because it meant I had access to all photos in 1 place... if this can be done on S6 Edge?
