My BB is on a corporate server and we receive e-mails from around the world at all hours of the night. Does anyone know how to turn off the audible notification of incoming mail, while retaining the settings for incoming calls and texts? I have the Torch 9850.
View 1 RepliesI have a torch 9800, i have 3 emails on the device, all were working perfectly (1 hotmail, and 2 emails for the company i work for .com.& .com.lb),, suddenly yesterday my .com.lb email stopped receiving or sending emails, when i try to send emails i receive a BIG RED X next to the email (general failure), all other employee emails on their phones are working, only my email is not, i tried soft rest and hard reset but its not working, i registered HRT and deleted and resent service books but it is not working, i only receive the activation server email from blackberry, but the email is not working,, moreover the email works fine on the pc,

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got my Torch back from being repaired from the track-pad not working.I first cleared anything that might of been on the phone and restored my back-up files to get all my addresses and applications into my phone.I know I have to reopen all the accounts applications I want to work.All my apps I have reinstalled work which I use and are all much needed tools, even up to my documents apps and PDF.I thought my email accounts would of come with the back-up which I reinstalled. I have 2 of each which I need for work, Windows Live, Yahoo and Gmail, but none of them are sending any mail I compose to send and I don't know why, or I may have forgotten not having my phone for so long. or am doing something wrong.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSince BB service was restored today I was hoping to get my email back but I cannot receive any incoming email. Sending email works fine but I cannot receive. I have rebooted my BB several times but it is not working.I also tried adding another email account to see if that one worked. The new account shows up in the email setup list but it doesn't appear on my homescreen for some reason. I then tried to delete one of the accounts a had setup before and I have a similar problem. The account no longer appears in the email setup menu, but it still shows on the homescreen.I have a BB Torch 9800 and I am on the Telus network in Canada

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased BB Torch 9860 with OS 7 and configured by personal and work email on BIS. I am receiving emails only in text format. In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.
I recently created a back up of my phone. I followed the wrong advice and wiped the phone. So I went back and restored my back up. Everything backed up, however, the phone went back to default everything, selecting any tab or icon on the set up page will lock the phone when you try to back out or close, and emails cannot be configured - the emails reloaded but I cannot send, receive, or change any email settings - I get error message"unable to open email setup application. contact your wireless service provider." The MAIN issue now is my wireless service provider is not aware of this problem and they keep trying to send me updates via email not accepting that I cannot get my emails from my phone anymore. and are baffled that removing the battery and restarting isn't working?

Edit: yes, the first thing I did was go into the settings and do that, but it doesn't work for texting or whatsapp messages and I don't know how to turn it off for those. I don't mind the vibration when it rings.

I have multiple email accounts configured. They are all working where I can send and receive email. However, one of the accounts takes hours to receive email. When it does receive, I get everything from the past number of hours. Is this a problem with my phone or something else?

I have been using Tasker for quite some time to handle tweaking audio settings for sleep, work, etc. I have it set to mute all notifications except phone calls and alarms at night. I put my phone on the headboard at night so I have it handy in case of that dreaded late night phone call.However, it still vibrates. When I get a text message or email, it vibrates enough to wake me if I am sleeping light (early in the night, or almost time to get up). It's rather annoying.
I have messed around with Tasker settings, and Vibrate On Notify is not an option for this device for some reason. I have even downloaded a few "turn vibration off" apps, and none of them seem to do what they are supposed to do either.Even if I have to manually adjust some settings before bedtime, I'm ok with that.

I bought a new Nokia Lumia 800. I noticed that despite turning off vibration, the phone vibrates each time the back key (<-) is pressed. Is there any way to turn this off. i believe this could save a lot of battery.Also how do we completely close an application in Lumia 800? I opened a page in IE. pressed back key. Then pressed and held back key to find there is no active application or IE running. However, when i open IE next time, I see the previous page has been loaded and it has been active all this time which could have been eating in to my data usage as well as battery charge.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a HTC M7 (Verizon unlocked) with a broken screen. (stock rom, not modified at all, and with android lollipop). After I replaced the screen, I turned it on and it worked just fine. But after using it for a while I noticed that the notification bar wouldn't come down, so I assumed maybe it was a connection that was giving me that problem and disassembled it again. I checked everything again, made sure everything was in place and reassembly it again.
When I tried to turn it back on, I just got a vibration... and a Black screen. Tried to turn it on again, but again just a vibration and a black screen (not sound at all). I plugged it in my computer and the computer makes the sound that something is plugged in, but the phone does not appear connected (recognized). Also, the charging red light, won't come on. (not even with the charger or connected to my computer)
I've tried:
1) Hold power button + vol/down = just vibration
2) Hold power button + vol/up = just vibration
3) Hold power button + vol/up+down (for about 2 minutes) = just vibrates over and over during that time
4) Previous steps under a bright light. Literally I stepped on a table and did it under a light bulb, and nothing.
I'm quite desperate and sad because it was working great (except for the notification bar), and now it won't turn on... just freaking vibrate..
I left the phone charging during the night and the green light came up in the morning. I tried to turn it On while connected, but the green light disappeared and it vibrated again once...
