My blackberry can send and receive new email/message, but I can't read any new email/message in my inbox even the email notification shown there are 17 new message in my inbox. Have check the Firewall setting and it has block anything. Have check all the email folder but no joy, didn't set any email filter.

My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to press the blackberry button (think thats what its called) when in my inbox and get various options including mark as unread (as well as forward, reply to all, etc). I now seem to be able to only do from this from in the email itself as if I am in my in box and press the button I need to hold it down and then I get a shortcut menu appearing. Have I accidently created this or has blackberry changed this as I recently upgraded one of their apps (though thought it was messenger)?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

I seem to have the magic touch for knowing the secret combination of keys to hit while going over railroad tracks and epic potholes and getting my curve 8520 to immediately jump to the first date in my email inbox, forcing me to waste precious hours of my life and inducing carpal tunnel scrolling alllllllllllllllllllllllll the way back to the current date.Does anyone know how on EARTH got get this thing to jump to the current date in the email inbox and save me a WCB claim, or at least be able to redirect those precious hours doing something far less boring and loathesome, like creating rollicking love songs to dinosaurs?

They have already setup an email address (hotmail) on the phone - how do I delete it and change it to mine? Also, I'm on Pay As You Go (Orange network)... can I still use and download apps from app world? What limitations are there for Pay As You Go? When I try to connect to o2email.co.uk or myo2 through my blackberry, i'm getting "Error! Your account has been suspended, please contact the system administrator". I've contacted o2, and they've told me to download service packs from o2email... Which I can't connect to via my handset. Anyone know if theres a way to have them sent to my handset from a computer? I can't connect to o2email from my PC browser either.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my curve for over a year now on my Orange contract. I have just been given a new Sim Card by my company. This Sim card is with Vodafone. I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.

I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password.Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.

I've just got a new Curve (Same model) - but when I swap over the SIM card the Email is not configured. The phone and messaging work fine but if I try and send an Email it says "No message services configured. You will be redirected to setup wizzardto set up your Email account" then it says "No message services configured, you will only be able to save to draft".But if a I swap averything back to my old phone it all works fine - no problem. What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to get my Emails working on the new phone Thanks in advance.

View 12 Replies View RelatedJust recently I bought a Blackberry Curve 8900 with tmobile. Now here is the thing, I dont have a data plan of any kind with tmobile. So when I bought the phone I insterted my phone and booted it up. Checked with my seller to make sure it made a phone call... it did. So I knew for sure my SIM card was working just fine....
When I got home, the first thing I did was connect to my wireless network.. using Wi-Fi.. obviously. And from there I went to the Setup Wizard and went through each step. When I got to the Email portion, It gave me two options, I dont remember both but one of them was "set up email through blackberry enterprise server".. or something like that. I was aware that I didnt have a data plan, so I clicked the second option. I went through the process and had EMAIL... through WIFI. I even sent my self email messages to make sure it was working and have proof that i recieved email and sent emaily to myself and others!!! without a data plan.This is what i expected.. i didnt know that this wasnt supposed to happen? and that blackberrys customers were only able to get email if they had a blackberry data plan?Well, naturally i figured everything else would work on a wif connection.. like the iphone. Even though you dont have the 3G data plan one can still access email, web, and aps. So anways, all the apps communicated with the wifi network and my web browser viewed pages on a wireless network.
Then my myfaves dissapeard and gave a java encoding script error or something. So what do i do? i call tmobile and spend hours troubleshooting. Eventually i am able to restore or update my OS with a PC and get my mfaves back. But now my ap world ap wont start and tells me that i need a data plan.. next its my web browser that tells me the same thing, as well as facebook. I am like what is going on?!. AND then when I try to set up email... there is only one option... and thats "setup email through a blackberry enterprise server"..if you took the time to read this.. why in the world did everything stop working with wi fi and out of nowhere asked me to use a blackberry data service plan?
