BB Curve :: Email Not Going From Pc To 8900
May 6, 2011I have the BB 8900 Curve.I have a yahoo account that i put on my BB. It shows its there, but the e-mails are not transferring from my pc to my BB.

BB Curve 8900 :: How To Setup New Email Account / Deactivate - Renew Previous Email?
Feb 11, 2010My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.

Jun 8, 2010I have had a notification icon for email on my phone for weeks. I deleted all messages yet its still there. I evenhad my phone replaced for another reason and its on the new phone.

Feb 17, 2010My blackberry can send and receive new email/message, but I can't read any new email/message in my inbox even the email notification shown there are 17 new message in my inbox. Have check the Firewall setting and it has block anything. Have check all the email folder but no joy, didn't set any email filter.

Nov 5, 2011I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).

They have already setup an email address (hotmail) on the phone - how do I delete it and change it to mine? Also, I'm on Pay As You Go (Orange network)... can I still use and download apps from app world? What limitations are there for Pay As You Go? And how do I buy an internet plan for Pay As You go - is there like a £5 a month thing I can buy from Orange? Quite a few questions there.

Jan 3, 2010Right, having some trouble with my phone... been having it for a few months, but its only just started annoying me enough to want to fix it Its through o2, with the blackberry unlimited plan... When I try to connect to o2email.co.uk or myo2 through my blackberry, i'm getting "Error! Your account has been suspended, please contact the system administrator". I've contacted o2, and they've told me to download service packs from o2email... Which I can't connect to via my handset. Anyone know if theres a way to have them sent to my handset from a computer? I can't connect to o2email from my PC browser either.

Jan 25, 2010I noticed when I have my phone on quiet profile I don't get the email notification LED flashing. I looked at the profile and I can't see why it doesn't flash. It does seem to work fine in the normal profile.Any suggestions what to look for?

Feb 16, 2010Many of my emails contain images.I've got my email settings to 'download images automatically' yet whenever an email has images they appear in white with the black lines box around. 'menu click' on the image + click 'get image' and the image downloads and appears.how the bleeding can i get it to show all images without clicking that one every image in an email.

Apr 21, 2010I have had my curve for over a year now on my Orange contract. I have just been given a new Sim Card by my company. This Sim card is with Vodafone. I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.

Aug 10, 2010I get emails from the donotreply@blackberry.com that tell me I need to validate my Yahoo email. I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password.Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.

Jul 7, 2010Brand new to this forum. I've had a Curve 8900 for two years without a problem. Everything works OK. I've just got a new Curve (Same model) - but when I swap over the SIM card the Email is not configured. The phone and messaging work fine but if I try and send an Email it says "No message services configured. You will be redirected to setup wizzardto set up your Email account" then it says "No message services configured, you will only be able to save to draft".But if a I swap averything back to my old phone it all works fine - no problem. What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to get my Emails working on the new phone Thanks in advance.

Jan 3, 2010Just recently I bought a Blackberry Curve 8900 with tmobile. Now here is the thing, I dont have a data plan of any kind with tmobile. So when I bought the phone I insterted my phone and booted it up. Checked with my seller to make sure it made a phone call... it did. So I knew for sure my SIM card was working just fine....
When I got home, the first thing I did was connect to my wireless network.. using Wi-Fi.. obviously. And from there I went to the Setup Wizard and went through each step. When I got to the Email portion, It gave me two options, I dont remember both but one of them was "set up email through blackberry enterprise server".. or something like that. I was aware that I didnt have a data plan, so I clicked the second option. I went through the process and had EMAIL... through WIFI. I even sent my self email messages to make sure it was working and have proof that i recieved email and sent emaily to myself and others!!! without a data plan.This is what i expected.. i didnt know that this wasnt supposed to happen? and that blackberrys customers were only able to get email if they had a blackberry data plan?Well, naturally i figured everything else would work on a wif connection.. like the iphone. Even though you dont have the 3G data plan one can still access email, web, and aps. So anways, all the apps communicated with the wifi network and my web browser viewed pages on a wireless network.
Then my myfaves dissapeard and gave a java encoding script error or something. So what do i do? i call tmobile and spend hours troubleshooting. Eventually i am able to restore or update my OS with a PC and get my mfaves back. But now my ap world ap wont start and tells me that i need a data plan.. next its my web browser that tells me the same thing, as well as facebook. I am like what is going on?!. AND then when I try to set up email... there is only one option... and thats "setup email through a blackberry enterprise server"..if you took the time to read this.. why in the world did everything stop working with wi fi and out of nowhere asked me to use a blackberry data service plan?

May 19, 2010I bought a 2nd hand 8900 but it doesn't have the wizard to set ip my email I've looked in all options and menus but there is nothing for email. I set up blackberry in my company and I wonder if this device is set to enterprise activation instead of other activations. I called my carrier o2 but the weren't helpful and said it was because I was on the wrong tariff and didn't have an o2 email address. I've wiped the device could updating the software out this back? It doesn't show a carrier when I start it up I think it was originally purchased as a sim free device. Any thoughts?

Mar 8, 2010I have a Curve 8900 running v4.6.1.231...I am on an Enterprise Data plan, with emails synched up to both my office outlook email, and my personal yahoo email. At around 11:30 yesterday, my yahoo email stopped sending/receiving/synching with my BB, but my office outlook email is working fine.
I tried to go into Email setup with the setup wizard, to see if maybe I had to delete and re-add my yahoo email account, but after about 60 seconds with a load message "connecting to email settings" I got a message that said "Your devide had a problem connecting to the server" with retry and cancel button - I retried with no avail.Not the most tech savvy person here, but was wondering if this is a problem on my end? Or something on the BB side?

Jan 12, 2010email syncs fine, but calendar, contacts notes etc (in fact everything else) doesnt sync. as the exchange box is hosted, there is no way of putting BES on it. every other smart phone i have ever hooked up to this hosted exchange box works fine seems to be just the blackberry.
he has an exchange enabled outlook 2007 client on his PC looking at the same account. how can i get things to sync over the air (i dont want him to have to plug it in to the pc as this defeats the entire object of having an exchange solution).

May 22, 2010I had an 8310 and just bought an 8900 brand new off of eBay. I used the 8310's speakerphone A LOT for listening to music and loved it! I always took the back of the phone off too so that it wasn't coming through 2 little holes through the top.
