After having updated my N900 to PR1.2, I now find that when I reply to, or create a new message in the standard e-mail client , my automatic signature is inserted in grey instead of black, and all linefeeds are left out so the whole thing appears in one line instead of four which is how I have it.Sure, I can edit it and re-insert the linefeeds and make it all black, but this is clearly not the point. It worked fine prior to 1.2 and should continue to work fine after the upgrade.
One quirk of this 'bug' is that, once I've opened a new message (with the incorrect signature), if I change the originating e-mail address (I have more than one e-mail account) by tapping on my e-mail address at the top and selecing a different one, the signature 'repairs' itself and the linefeeds re-appear so the signature then looks fine except that it's still in grey.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an 8530 Curve with Metro PCS and I would like to remove the email signature.
I'm writing now one day after the original post. I figured it out and it was in front of me the whole time. Don't go through Options if your with Metro PCS. Click the menu key> Click email set up> Click your email account> Click edit> and then you can change it. I think it is just Metro PCS that does this.
My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have had my curve for over a year now on my Orange contract. I have just been given a new Sim Card by my company. This Sim card is with Vodafone. I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.
i just became fan of blackberry. i am trying to set up the email i already have in my yahoo account. I am following the guide and i go to setup email settings. View 7 Replies View RelatedI get emails from the donotreply@blackberry.com that tell me I need to validate my Yahoo email. I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password. Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.
