I get emails from the donotreply@blackberry.com that tell me I need to validate my Yahoo email. I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password. Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.
I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).
I have a Curve 8900 running v4.6.1.231...I am on an Enterprise Data plan, with emails synched up to both my office outlook email, and my personal yahoo email. At around 11:30 yesterday, my yahoo email stopped sending/receiving/synching with my BB, but my office outlook email is working fine.
I tried to go into Email setup with the setup wizard, to see if maybe I had to delete and re-add my yahoo email account, but after about 60 seconds with a load message "connecting to email settings" I got a message that said "Your devide had a problem connecting to the server" with retry and cancel button - I retried with no avail. Not the most tech savvy person here, but was wondering if this is a problem on my end? Or something on the BB side?
I have a Curve 8520. I recently received a message telling me to validate my e mail address but, despite my and vodafones best efforts, we have been unable to get the phone to validate my e mail password (I know I am typing the right password, because I can access my e mail on my home computer with the password). I sometimes get the message that I have successfully validated it, but after the 20 minutes or so has passed, I get the same message as before, asking me to validate my e mail.
I have had a message from Blackberry to validate my email address - this has happened several times and was just a case of entering my password. I have tried to do this and it keeps saying that my password is invalid. It isn't though, it is my correct password.
When i am trying to set up emai account in [url]..., after entering correct user name and password,I am getting following messge and i am using BlackBerry 8520
I have Yahoo and GMail on my BB. With GMail I can use Google Sync to sync contacts, calendar etc automatically. Also with Google Sync, any replies you do on your BB are automatically updated in you Gmail. Now, the question is, is there something like that for Yahoo? I have searched and don't seem to have had any luck. The closest I can come to is actually looking at my Yahoo account on the browser, but that's not what I want.
I downloaded YM last night, and when it was done downloading, I clicked on the YM icon, nothing happened. My BB just freezed, tried battery pull couple of time, nothing happened.
So, today I got a nerve to upgrade the OS from 4.6 to the latest released by my carrier 5.0.0.461. Upgrading was successful, but the YM was still not working, it just freezed my blackberry.
I even tried JMLcmdr to wipe al the whole thing on my BB and reinstalled the latest OS, still the YM problem persists.
What should I do now ? Was there something I did wrong while upgrading YM at the first place ?
I can't sem to reset my e-mail on maxis.blackberry.com. Got an error message: "An error occurred during email account validation. Please check the information and try again. If the error persists, inform the subscriber to contact their email account provider." I've never encountered this problem until now. Have been using the blackberry for 2 years now. I've been re-setting my e-mail account off and on when I have problem receiving mails. But since deleting the e-mail from the web this afternoon, I can't seem to re-set it again. Please help. Maxis technical people have tried and there's nothing they could do. My web-hosting guys checked on their end and everything is clear. I have tried setting the same e-mail on iPad and it works. It's a blackberry problem.
OWA 2007 seems to be working fine. I can login internally and externally at my company. But when I try and use the Blackberry Internet Service I just get the "An error occurred during email account validation. please check your information and try again." error message.

I have had my bbry tour for 3 years and never had this problem. I am getting a message that I need to validate my email on my blackberry, but every time I try it says not a valid username password and can't validate. I have my name & password written down so I know they are correct, but the system doesn't recognize it.
I want to validate my email address, however I cannot remember my password and my recovery question answer as well. I've tried the information on the BB website but its still not working.
I cannot create a new e-mail on bb bold 9900 handsets. I got error message. "An error occurred during email account validation. Please check your information and try again."

Ok it seems since yesterday my 8530 has not been getting any emails from yahoo. Anyone have this problem? Anyone know of a possible cause and solution? not sure what the deal is. I have rebooted it a time or two and even hit reconcile and nothing. I sent myself an email from my phone and it went through but none others.
I can't access my yahoo email account from the yahoo website so I can view other folders. Tried using 'help' function but my 9300 won't show security code.
Suddenly, I received an email message from Blackberry Internet Services that asks me to validate my Yahoo email password. However, my Manage Internet Email icon no longer works (for some reason) and I get an error message when I try to use it. ERROR Site cannot be used in this manner. use URL or link provided to you by your service provider. what that means or why I am suddenly getting that!
I have had an email requiring me to log in with my username and password to validate my email (apparently this is something that happens every 360 days!?). For the life of me, I can't recall my username and password. I have tried entering my hotmail email address and password but this does not appear to work. I am unaware of any other password. I keep getting: blank user name. Type a valid user name. I have typed in my email address in user name...I have also requested a reminder for my password - my Curve 8520 tells me this has been sent but I have not received any such email or text.
I've been sending and receiving hotmail email from my 8310 without a problem for the last year, until I changed my email password yesterday. i've changed my password before, but this is the first time there's been a problem.Since yesterday, I haven't been able to access my account, and any attempt to validate through 'email settings' have brought up the "Invalid email address or password: Please verify your email address and password. The information you provided is incorrect." message.I even changed my password again to see if the new password was the problem, but no joy.
I have an 8350i BoostBerry. Gmail is putting a "1" in front of my number @myboostmobile.com address and I don't get the email on my phone. Let me try to clarify.I can send an email from Gmail (PC) to my phone, but I do NOT put a 1 in front of the number, just the area code and number, so it goes through fine. I reply to it, then go back to the PC and when I go to reply back to the phone, I see that it has a 1 in front of the email address and it doesn't go through to the phone. Is there some kind of setting that I could change so that it doesn't add that 1? Wht would it be adding the 1 in the first place? Maybe when the phone replies it has the 1 and Gmail is just copying that and adding it to the email address? PLEASE help as I use this phone for business and I NEED to have my emails coming through properly.
My wife bought me a secondhand BB 8900 [Vodafone] on the internet. She put in the sim from "Talk Mobile" and I am able to use the phone fine. I am also able to connect to my home BT WiFi and the phone shows up on it's screen that connected to my WiFi and it's ID. Is there any way I could access my Yahoo e-mail on this device using my home BT WiFi?
I have tried by going to Advanced Options ->Host Routing Table-> "Register New" -> Getting a message "Registration Message sent with an exclamation ! Sign" but no messages are seen/
Read the online BB guide but not get to what I wish. Is there any guide I could use to access my Yahoo e-mails on my device?
My yahoo email was hacked into as I opened an email on my Blackberry 8530 curve. They were able to change my email password, steal and delete my contact list, send all my contacts and email saying I was in London and desperately needed $1500 and set up an alternate email in Yahoo so that if some questioned the email requesting money they would reply it was really me. Is there anything I can use to protect the Blackberry phone from this type of thing from happening.
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to Blackberrys so can someone please help me! I bought a second hand unlocked phone (8900 Curve) on the Orange network off a friend. They have already setup an email address (hotmail) on the phone - how do I delete it and change it to mine? Also, I'm on Pay As You Go (Orange network)... can I still use and download apps from app world? What limitations are there for Pay As You Go? And how do I buy an internet plan for Pay As You go - is there like a £5 a month thing I can buy from Orange? Quite a few questions there.
I'm having trouble setting up email on my blackberry, when i use the set up wizard it wants a code from a central server. Also the PIN - what is it? and whats it for?
