Mar 1, 2011how do I set up Yahoo email subfolders? I went to Messages Folder, Options, Email Preferences, Folder Redirection, but, my Yahoo email folders do not appear.

BB Bold 9650 :: New Email Notification In Subfolders
Jul 6, 2010We have a user who is having issues with email notifications. They utilize over 50 subfolders. The issue is that they do not want to have to go through all 50 folders trying to figgure out which ones have new email in them. Is there a menu option on the phone to show which folders have new email? Verizon support was no help, and the articles I saw here didnt seem to address this issue.

Nov 5, 2011I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).

May 3, 2010Ok it seems since yesterday my 8530 has not been getting any emails from yahoo. Anyone have this problem? Anyone know of a possible cause and solution? not sure what the deal is. I have rebooted it a time or two and even hit reconcile and nothing. I sent myself an email from my phone and it went through but none others.

Aug 10, 2010I get emails from the donotreply@blackberry.com that tell me I need to validate my Yahoo email. I've done the validation thing countless times and it NEVER accepts the password. The only way I can get it to work is go to Yahoo and set a new password on my email account. Then I need to get on my 8900 and "validate" with the password.Why do I have to change my Yahoo password to get this to work? I know my password is correct because I got to Yahoo on my laptop, login, and enter the correct password and the email comes up.

Sep 6, 2010I have an 8350i BoostBerry. Gmail is putting a "1" in front of my number @myboostmobile.com address and I don't get the email on my phone. Let me try to clarify.I can send an email from Gmail (PC) to my phone, but I do NOT put a 1 in front of the number, just the area code and number, so it goes through fine. I reply to it, then go back to the PC and when I go to reply back to the phone, I see that it has a 1 in front of the email address and it doesn't go through to the phone.Is there some kind of setting that I could change so that it doesn't add that 1? Wht would it be adding the 1 in the first place? Maybe when the phone replies it has the 1 and Gmail is just copying that and adding it to the email address? PLEASE help as I use this phone for business and I NEED to have my emails coming through properly.

May 20, 2012My wife bought me a secondhand BB 8900 [Vodafone] on the internet. She put in the sim from "Talk Mobile" and I am able to use the phone fine. I am also able to connect to my home BT WiFi and the phone shows up on it's screen that connected to my WiFi and it's ID. Is there any way I could access my Yahoo e-mail on this device using my home BT WiFi?
I have tried by going to Advanced Options ->Host Routing Table-> "Register New" -> Getting a message "Registration Message sent with an exclamation ! Sign" but no messages are seen/

Jul 12, 2010My yahoo email was hacked into as I opened an email on my Blackberry 8530 curve. They were able to change my email password, steal and delete my contact list, send all my contacts and email saying I was in London and desperately needed $1500 and set up an alternate email in Yahoo so that if some questioned the email requesting money they would reply it was really me. Is there anything I can use to protect the Blackberry phone from this type of thing from happening.

Mar 8, 2010I have a Curve 8900 running v4.6.1.231...I am on an Enterprise Data plan, with emails synched up to both my office outlook email, and my personal yahoo email. At around 11:30 yesterday, my yahoo email stopped sending/receiving/synching with my BB, but my office outlook email is working fine.
I tried to go into Email setup with the setup wizard, to see if maybe I had to delete and re-add my yahoo email account, but after about 60 seconds with a load message "connecting to email settings" I got a message that said "Your devide had a problem connecting to the server" with retry and cancel button - I retried with no avail.Not the most tech savvy person here, but was wondering if this is a problem on my end? Or something on the BB side?

Yahoo Messenger has been installed and use for long time in my 9300. Somehow, in past 2 weeks, I could not login to Yahoo, Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Messenger.
Everytime lgoin to yahoo web, mail or messenger always giving me Username and password is invalid. But for Pop-up mail with Yahoo still working and fine
Several trial has been done in the device, like:
- Re-install Yahoo Messenger
- Uncheck item"Remeber my ID..."
- Trial with several account
With PC Login:
- Through yahoo website account and delete all web related connection
- Login with PC desktop with all the account not any issue and can login perfectly
Of course, regular ceremony by reset, remove battery has been doing as well

Jun 23, 2010Morning cb community...I've got a weird issue going on...not an annoyance or deal breaker just curious. Anyways lately and randomly my phones ringtone for my yahoo email goes off and there isn't an email. It vibrates and the berrybuzz led and color goes off too. The weird thing is is that there isn't even an unread email indicator with the number. The phone just goes off. Its weird. I've done battery pulls and stuff. Any thoughts? It just has me wondering. It doesn't do it for my sprint.blackberry.net email just my yahoo email.

Nov 11, 2011My mail comes off a Microsoft Exchange Server. In Outlook I have sub-folders to my Inbox. When I sync or reconcilliate only those sub-folders that I have dragged and dropped messages into (and only those after the initial sync) are visible. Sub-folders that have a rule set up in outlook for messages to directly go to those do not display the messages; however I can see all the sub-folders. I would love to sync all messages for all the sub-folders and be able to view them. FYI I have the default 30days setting in the phone and all messages in Outlook are only 3 weeks old.

The issue I encounter is to receive emails with Yahoo!Smallbusiness within 15 minutes. I have made a contact with Yahoo for many times. They insistly mention this is being caused by BIS or / and GSM carrier. Good. That's a fact. However, I configured a Gmail account, so it seems that I don't get down with my Gmail account.Is there anybody out there to give me a hand on what's going on with my email delaying because I'm exactly tired of wrestling out with the problem. You may ask "Is it a problem for you having emails in 15 minutes?"... Yes, It is... I am sure that many people have a website owner and they're aware how important it's to reply their emails fast. Aug 14, 2010I've been having an issue receiving my yahoo mail on my device (BB Curve 8530) for about a week now and have tried everything I can think of to resolve it, but nothing has worked.
OK, about a week ago I got about 3-5 yahoo emails on my device from Yahoo Answers. I logged into Yahoo on my laptop and there were 20+ in my account, many of which I hadn't received on my device. The following day the same thing happened and the next day I received no Yahoo email on my device but logged in on my laptop to find that I had 10 emails in my yahoo account. So I went from getting only a few of the emails to getting none.
I tried a battery pull, which fixed it for a very short time, then I went back to getting no yahoo email again. I tried sending service books as well as registering via the host routing table, both gave me the same results, fixed it for a short time then went back to getting nothing at all. I delete then undelete the service books. Again, fixed it for a short time then went back to getting nothing at all. Last night I deleted the email account from my device altogether, performed a battery pull, then setup my yahoo email again. It fixed it for about 24 hours and now I'm back to getting nothing again.
In the meantime, if I send myself an email from my google account to my yahoo account, it will go through and I receive it on my device. If I send from my device using my yahoo account it also goes through. But 90% or more of the messages I receive are from Yahoo Answers, which I'm not getting. This puts me at a complete loss as there are no filters on my Yahoo account or on my device that should prevent them from coming through.

May 4, 2012Since last evening (3rd May), I've been having intermittent issues sending email through my Yahoo! mail account. Common symptoms include a pop-up window stating:
Cannot Send Mail
The connection to the outgoing server "apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com" failed. Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Typically, this is followed by the message being place in the Outbox.
Sometimes, the message actually does go out when the iPhone says that is could not send the message.At others, after a very long period of time, the "swoosh" sound tells me that a message was sent.
This is a new symptom and I have not changed my mail settings at all. I have tried deleting my mail account and re-adding the same, but no help. I've tried sending email from another iPhone, same issue. I've also verified that this is not isolated to my account, since my wife was complaining about the same symptom on her phone using her Yahoo! email account.
