Yahoo email is not pushing to my iphone for more than a week now. I've tried everything I could, nothings seems to work.I deleted the account, add it again, added one more server, I even did a restore, no succes. I have to mention that gmail and icloud are fine.

Something strange has happened. I haven't changed any of the settings on my iPhone 4, but it has stopped pushing my email from yahoo and gmail.
Push is on. I'm not exactly sure when this happened and if it coincides with my upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2
It seems like it's the phone and not the email providers, since both were affected at the same time. Any thoughts?
My BB Bold 9700 is not pushing email in real time. Tech support couldn't give a solution. Escalated to Level 2 at RIM, and still no solution. Anyone out there know how to help me get the device to push in real time? Critically important.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDon't suggest using the gmail app instead of the stock. I want to use the Samsung email native app and I have my reasons. Now, I have tried what seems like every way possible to get gmail working on the native app but I get emails hours late sometimes the next day. I am using the proper server setting per Google:
Incoming settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)
In the app I have under sync schedule "Auto(when received)" and "notify me when email arrives" checked. The part that makes this worse is I can get it to work on non-stock apps like AquaMail using the SAME settings, but again, I want to use the native app.

Since last evening (3rd May), I've been having intermittent issues sending email through my Yahoo! mail account. Common symptoms include a pop-up window stating:
Cannot Send Mail
The connection to the outgoing server "apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com" failed. Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Typically, this is followed by the message being place in the Outbox.
Sometimes, the message actually does go out when the iPhone says that is could not send the message.At others, after a very long period of time, the "swoosh" sound tells me that a message was sent.
This is a new symptom and I have not changed my mail settings at all. I have tried deleting my mail account and re-adding the same, but no help. I've tried sending email from another iPhone, same issue. I've also verified that this is not isolated to my account, since my wife was complaining about the same symptom on her phone using her Yahoo! email account.
My iPhone 4 can't receive the yahoo email when i upgrade iOS 5 after. Just see the number of mail. Can't download, stay in " correcting" to server. Click the row, still no response...

Today on my iPhone I'm getting the error message "The user name and password for "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" is incorrect.
I've tried all the tips recommended by various well meaning folks:
1. rebooting (many times)
2. changing my yahoo password - doesn't contain any special characters
3. verifying access via a browser (used the new Chrome one!)
4. adding another choice for SMTP server (smtp.mail.yahoo.com) - a tip from 2008!
5. added my gmail account - it works fine
I'm out of ideas. This is a problem with the device communicating with Yahoo's mail servers, which are evidently functioning as expected. Is it time to visit a genius bar?? Don't really want to access email via the browser (like driving on one of those temporary spares).

I have deleted the account, restarted the phone and added the account back twice to no avail. Everything is verified, but it will NOT show new messages, just those that I send.

I've noticed that yahoo emails don't automatically download on my phone anymore - when I launch the mail app (the built-in apple one, NOT the yahoo mail app), then it downloads all new messages, but other than that, they're not getting pushed automatically. Morning cb community...I've got a weird issue going on...not an annoyance or deal breaker just curious. Anyways lately and randomly my phones ringtone for my yahoo email goes off and there isn't an email. It vibrates and the berrybuzz led and color goes off too. The weird thing is is that there isn't even an unread email indicator with the number. The phone just goes off. Its weird. I've done battery pulls and stuff. Any thoughts? It just has me wondering. All this time iPhone was out on the market, i needed a way to make the Mail.app to scan into my email folders. i have a Yahoo! account set up and it's only for the Inbox. i have filters/rules that redirect emails to certain folders in the yahoo email account, but the iOS Mail.app doesn't scan in there. is there an alternative? other than entering - step by step - in all the folders?

I have my incoming Yahoo mail filtered to different folders, so I have new mail in different folders, which at present I can't see on the Bold.
