I am an xbox ambassador and everytime someone gets into Ambassador Chat im getting a message and Im sick of them lol.
Since the lollipop update I can't turn off the "new sms message" on my radio while playing music through bluetooth. Before the update I could just turn my phone on vibrate or mute and the alerts wouldn't interrupt my music. I'll be singing along to a song when suddenly the music stops, an alert tone comes on and the "new sms message" pops up on my radio display. It's bad enough that half of my apps stop working randomly for no reason since the update.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWhenever I sent a text message, it comes through as my email address instead of my phone number. When I went to Settings > Messages, under "Receive at", is at my email address as the default and next to my phone number it says Error.I upgraded my phone, is there a reason this is happening? No one is really getting my texts.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy email messages stopped coming through the BB last night (bold 9700). I've sent out test messages and they go out, but nothing comes in.Could it be connected to the fact that my local server went down (but I received messages for quite a while when it was down, and now it's back up, but I'm still not receiving)

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to stop email and text notifications when I am on a phone call? I have a long email alert and message tone, and when I'm on a call and they go off, it's so loud and long I can't hear who I'm talking to. They can't hear the alert but it goes on for so long they waffle on and I miss a lot of conversation. Why is this not automatically disabled or set to silent when taking a call?

I was wondering if any of you had this issue. I have a LUmia 1520.3 and everything works perfectly, except that if I am listening to music and I get a txt message. If that happens after the message is read and I return to the music the phone starts to play thru the speakers and the headphones.at the same time. There is a significant reduction in the volume thru the headphones but it still plays. I have tried different headphones and the problem persist over the podcast app as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHow to get the HTC one to stop sending old texts messages after a reboot? If my phone dies, is updated, or I need to turn it off, when I turn it back on it will send some really old texts and a lot of them. Also, Verizon claims it's an HTC problem and HTC said to call Verizon. I've tried everything from system restore to deleting entire threads. It's a bunch of crap that neither company has an answer by now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery day at 10:30 GMT (without fail) I get a text message from Ovi Nokia App telling about some 'cool app' or other. This is now seriously bugging me - I didn't subscribe to it (my wife uses Ovi Store and doesn't get these messages). I keep thinking I am popular but no, it's just Ovi Nokia App telling what i already know! How do I get rid of it? I have tried to reply and send 'STOP' but it won't let you reply. I can't find anywhere on this site that tells you how to stop it either. I am reaching the point where I now purposely 'lose' my phone at 10:29 GMT and then find it again at 10:31 just to avoid the curse of ovi!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've spent so long googling and I've made exactly no progress at all...!!- Problem: my blackberry only keeps text messages for about a week before deleting them- Phone type: It is a blackberry Curve 9320. It seems to be on OS 7.1. I got it around the middle of October 2012.- Also worth noting: unlike most people I've found online with this complaint- my call logs aren't being deleted, and are still intact all the way back to the middle of October when I got the phone.- Also, emails aren't deleted after a week, they perhaps linger for as much as a month before vanishing.
(I don't care about those as much because I can access them other ways, whereas texts I can't)According to various googlings and also questions on here, this is most commonly due to lack of memory, therefore they suggest that you check your memory status and then free some up if required.- When I go into device and status information it tells me that my free memory is around 133602256 bytes (which I believe is in the region of 126mb?). Does this count as a lot or a little? Could this be the source of the problem after all?- Similarly when I look in memory use under media it says 'built-in media storage 96% free (30.4mb)' and 'media card storage 95% free (1.7gb)'The other obvious thing which I've checked (and initially thought had solved the problem but it hadn't) was 'Message display and actions' where I've had 'days to keep messages' set as forever but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.Am I missing something really obvious? How can I get it to keep my messages for more than 7 or 8 days?
When ever I receive at least 2 or more Voice Mail messages in my mailbox,I also receive a SMS Text message that states "Voice Mail".The message waiting indicator is sufficient for me.Is there a way to stop the "Voice Mail" Text Messages?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a new LG G3. The stock message app deletes all messages after two weeks. I have gone to settings and increased the number of messages before deleting from 200 to 500 to 5000. It changed nothing. There is no mention of time-based message limit control. How do I turn the 2-week message delete control off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently, my bluetooth has taken to reading out my texts out loud, which is a huge problem when I'm connected to external bluetooth speakers. An embarrassing problem that must stop. I don't know what's changed and I don't know what to do to stop this. The only clue I have is that in "Application Manager", when I go to "Bluetooth Share" and scroll down to "Permissions", it lists:
edit your text messages (SMS or MMS)
read your text messages (SMS or MMS)
recieve text messages (SMS)
send SMS messages - this may cost you money
I suspect it's the "read your text messages" that's causing my problem (although I am not smartphone savvy by any means so my suspicion may not be worth much) but there is seemingly no way to edit these permissions from this screen. It makes no sense to list the permissions but make them impossible to edit.
I recently downgraded my curve 9300 back to OS 5, I know there is a setting somewhere that you can stop bbm messages from going into where I receive emails. I have stopped them twice, before upgrade to 6 and after upgrade to 6. Now i cant find where it is.Also when I downgraded back to OS 5, I came out with version 5.0.0, how can I check for a later version of 5?

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor all those who liked reading about Steve Jobs' emails to people, as obnoxious as they often were, I'm sorry to tell you but they are about to end.
Now that class action lawsuits are springing up all around Apple (one even using a SJ email to a customer as part of the supporting evidence), I can assure you that Apple Legal is putting the brakes on Steve sending out any more emails. He will protest for sure, but the lawyers always win.
I go into my messaging settings and my phone number says "error" next to it and it can not be selected.
