My BB Bold 9700 is not pushing email in real time. Tech support couldn't give a solution. Escalated to Level 2 at RIM, and still no solution. Anyone out there know how to help me get the device to push in real time? Critically important.
Is there a website to which you can point me to tell me what the icons are all about that appear on my screen from time to time. Latest one ;ooks like a click with a red asterix at about where the 1 would be and has a 2 to the left of the icon. A website to consult would be great.
I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
When traveling to a location in a new time zone, phone does not display correct time. Network time shows correct time, but is not displayed on home screen.
Do we still need to do a Batterie pull from time to time. I ve installed os .421 and since 15 days i haven t done a pull. I only past from 133MB to 131MB so the memory loss won t even be noticed compared to back in the days with the 9000.So my question is do we still need these apps like quick pull etc which i installed to my old 9000.How often should we do a pull every week? Every month?
I am sure that this issue has been raised before but it is the one aspect of the BB9700 that is driving me to distraction. What profile settings should i use just to get the darn thing to ring for 20 secs - both in and out of its holster? (I have tried the code to extend the time to 30 secs but it does not seem to work with Orange UK).
I just want the phone to ring like a phone without LEDS, vibration etc. At the moment, I need the hearing of a 5 year old and the strength of a 20 year old to get to my phone before it trips over to answerphone.I am on OS593 and I have tried battery pulls etc. I am also using a ringtune rather than Classic Ring.
Something strange has happened. I haven't changed any of the settings on my iPhone 4, but it has stopped pushing my email from yahoo and gmail.
Push is on. I'm not exactly sure when this happened and if it coincides with my upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.0.2 It seems like it's the phone and not the email providers, since both were affected at the same time. Any thoughts?
Yahoo email is not pushing to my iphone for more than a week now. I've tried everything I could, nothings seems to work.I deleted the account, add it again, added one more server, I even did a restore, no succes. I have to mention that gmail and icloud are fine.
Don't suggest using the gmail app instead of the stock. I want to use the Samsung email native app and I have my reasons. Now, I have tried what seems like every way possible to get gmail working on the native app but I get emails hours late sometimes the next day. I am using the proper server setting per Google:
In the app I have under sync schedule "Auto(when received)" and "notify me when email arrives" checked. The part that makes this worse is I can get it to work on non-stock apps like AquaMail using the SAME settings, but again, I want to use the native app.
I live in South Africa. I do not find a South African time zone in the list. If I use another city in the +2-hour time zone, my clock time is 1 hour fast. Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?
I've been reading a lot about Nokia Messaging and some sources say that it is a real push email service like BIS but some say that it needs to maintain an active connection all the times to ensure instantenous delivery of email. What's the truth? When I choose 'push' on my Nokia E72, it is connected to the internet all the time and only pretends to be real push, but I was wondering whether it's because my operator is not supported. Also, what difference does it make when your operator supports Nokia Messaging? As far as I know, my operator is not supported, but I easily set up Nokia Messaging with my Nokia E72. So, doesn't it mean that the only thing required for the Nokia Messaging to work is a data plan? Why does Nokia make announcements about starting to offer Nokia Messaging in countries where there already is internet in mobile phones?
I upgraded to OS .656 last night, and it somehow messed up my phone and made it to where I had no Wi-Fi connectivity unless I turned the phone's cellular radio off and forced it to use Wi-Fi. Otherwise, it would just use it's painfully slow EDGE network.
I downgraded back to .593, and all seems fine. It connects and the Wi-Fi logo goes from gray to white, as it should. But that process (connecting and the logo turning white, indicating connection) takes about a minute. The network's name will show up, the Wi-Fi logo will show up (in gray), and then after about a minute it turns white and I'm connected.
When I saw the AT&T commercial about a guy who talks on his phone while he surfs the web at the same, I thought 'let me try that on my 9700'. So right now as I type these, I'm actually streaming podcast, have my buddy on the other line, and here typing this. AT&T claims that Verizon, which their direct competitor here in the states, can't do any of these talking while surfing web. I have been a T-mobile customer for 4 years now and for the past 2 years I have been talking and surfing at the same time without a problem. I thought depends on the phone as well whether it can do this or not, not the network.
When a new conversation starts it works fine. After a while in that conversation it will start to not work, it will move around bits of text from conversation, it wont let me scroll through messages, then is slow to send, if I leave conversation it wont let me get back into it. Is there something I have done wrong, or do I just need to go and delete text ever little bit?
we all know from at&t commercial that the 9700 on at&t and t-mo network can talk & surf at the same time. what about tether & talk? can any1 who has a 9700 confirm this capability? yes or no?
What can I expect from returning my 8520 and upgrading to Bold 9700. I realize it is 3g which I am craving...I need to be able to talk and surf at the same time.
I want to move the date and time on my home screen to another position or make it smaller. Is there any way that I can do that? I don't want to completely remove it.
How do I minimise buffering time when viewing videos or content I.E you tube or bbc iplayer as I can't watch with any success due to constantly buffering ???? Also can u watch live tv on my 9700 , things like sky tv or bbc news 24 ?
Cuz I just saw one of those million 3g commercials with at&t vs verizon. At&t claims u can talk and surf on the web cuz of its 3g. Well can u do that with the 9700? How about t-mo, can the 9700 do that on t-mo?
just had a bold 9700 yesterday and decided to send a text to my daughter who says she keeps getting the same text all the while when i have only sent it once . i`m on t mobile, had no problems before with my old phone.
have a BB 9700 Bold, version 5 with SFR (France)This issue has already been reported with no answer. When you write, in your calender, your flight departure time and your arrival time, especially if it is in a different Time zone, it is advisable not to set your new time as you fly, otherwise, the times in you calender will also change. To me, this bug should be fixed or at least an option should state "No time changes in calender" !
How do I set my BB Bold 9700 on winter time in Israel? It didn't switch automatically. This is not a matter of changing the time zone. I have to download a patch but I don't know from where
I just got a 9700 yesterday and I am in Canada. I don't see the "I want to reate or add an email address". I can't seem to find the solution to that. Couple other questions I have. I don't have a data plan, can I still use BBM and download all the apps ? Also do I need to set up an email account to download apps and use BBM ?
for some reason, when I try to add an appointment on sunday, I can't set the time using the keypad, when I try to get 1x it changes to 00:00 any ideas?
I got a refurbished Bold 9700 today. I have it set just as I did with my old one, but it WILL NOT vibrate and ring at the same time. If I have vibrate checked to on and vibration with ringtone checked to on, it vibrates twice and then rings. If I go into custom, it still vibrates BEFORE ringing. The phone is still on AT&T's official .405 OS right now, and I'm doing the update to .593 right now. Maybe that will help? I'm not sure.
I'm switching from an 8800 to the 9700. When I connected the 8800, whatever it did took a few minutes (it has you connect the old device). Then I connected the 9700 as it asked me to, and that was at least an hour and 15 minutes ago. It says "Task in progress", and on the progress bar it has not moved a millimeter. Like, nothing. I have maybe 30-40 contacts and no extra software, and 3 messenger contacts.
Is there a way to have the time displayed when I am browsing or on the internet? Now I only have the name of the site I am viewing whether I am on Edge or 3G and my signal.
I do not find a way to get the information at what time a SMS message was sent. For example if I don not have any network during several hours, the time at which I receive a SMS message will be the time at which I recover some network... not the time at which the writer sent the SMS message.
Even my Nokia 3410 was able to get this information... Why not my BB 9700? Same concerning the acknowledgement of receipt: I do not see at what time the SMS was received
