just had a bold 9700 yesterday and decided to send a text to my daughter who says she keeps getting the same text all the while when i have only sent it once . i`m on t mobile, had no problems before with my old phone.

Everytime i receive a text messageregardless of who the sender i, the time of the message is 04.49. This is making the messages out of synch.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI do not find a way to get the information at what time a SMS message was sent. For example if I don not have any network during several hours, the time at which I receive a SMS message will be the time at which I recover some network... not the time at which the writer sent the SMS message.
Even my Nokia 3410 was able to get this information... Why not my BB 9700? Same concerning the acknowledgement of receipt: I do not see at what time the SMS was received
I originally posted this question in the device software forum and I haven't received a single response to it. So I will try posting it here. I have a blackberry 9700 bold, obviously since I am posting here. A friend of mine text me, and I saved her to my contacts. Well the phone saved her number to work instead of mobile where it should be. So I copied it, deleted, and pasted in the mobile slot. Now I can't figure out how to clear out the copy. Every time I go to send a text, at the top of the options is paste. Does anyone know how to clear out the copy so that paste does not show up all the time?

If I send out a plain MMS picture with a subject and the receiver sends back sole text, well, there is no other way to describe it, but either the text never appears or it disappears within second and I can never read it.
Anybody knows how to rectify that. I searched but didn't find the proper answer. Oh, I am on Rogers btw.
does anyone know how to clear the text message field in the .442 update for the 9700. It used to be alt+delete in the older firmwares, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

Unfortunately I have got a problem with the device concerning writing SMS (and sometimes also e-mails):When I get started writing a SMS everythings fine. But abruptly the cursor disappears and when I continue writing the text, it just does not appear on the screen. But "in the background" the text goes on, because after writing "blindly" I can send the whole message, even the first part I can see and even the second part which is written but not displayed.

View 13 Replies View Relatedi got a blackberry bold 9700 for christmas and i've been having only one problem with the phone. Sometimes when I've been having a conversation, through sms text messages, with someone I will be randomly unable to open a newly received sms text message and cannot open it for a while. I got it checked and they gave me a new phone, and this one is doing the same thing. Sometimes i can't open it for 10 mins and then sometimes i have to delete it because it's been over 2 hours. this is getting really annoying and more and more frequent. does anyone know what i should do? cause the bell people dont even know.

Does anyone know how or if you can delete the option to receive a text message when getting and deleting a visual voicemail? When ever I get a text message it just shows the phone number not the name, however when I connect to my home wi-fi, the name populate the text messages but when I dissconnect from the WI-FI the names go away and the phone numbers appear...I must have done something stupid when I was setting up my contacts and or WI-FI

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

What profile settings should i use just to get the darn thing to ring for 20 secs - both in and out of its holster? (I have tried the code to extend the time to 30 secs but it does not seem to work with Orange UK).
I just want the phone to ring like a phone without LEDS, vibration etc. At the moment, I need the hearing of a 5 year old and the strength of a 20 year old to get to my phone before it trips over to answerphone.I am on OS593 and I have tried battery pulls etc. I am also using a ringtune rather than Classic Ring.
I'm a new user to nokia E72, though i have been using nokia phones for about 5 years now. when i receive a text message while my e72 was switched off, it doesn't show the exact time the sender sent the message. instead it shows the time the text message receieved to my phone when i switch on my device. as an example i swtiched off my phone at 10pm night and my friend sent me a message at 11 pm.. and then i switch on the phone again at 12 midnight and i recieve his message at 12.01am and in it time stamp it shows the message receieved at 12.01am instead the correct time when my friend sent me the message at 11pm i have checked this with other nokia phones example 6630 and so on. in them it shows the exact time the sender sent the message what's wrong in my nokia E72? how can i correct it?

But whenever I tap the received message it always says received one minute ago, unless it was on an earlier date. But, if I get a text at 8am and check it at noon, then tap on it, it says received one minute ago. Any way to fix this?

Every time I get a text message my screen turns on and off. I don't have this problem with any other notification I get just text messages. The screen just turns on and off in like a seconds time.I dont know if its a setting I might have set or if I have a bad phone.

For example, it's 6:15 a.m. right now, and I would like to text someone after they wake up today, but I may be sleeping by the time they get up, so I'm wondering if there is a way to schedule my phone to send out a text message 2 hours from now at 8:15 a.m.?
It seems as though there are several third-party apps that claim to do this - and I may end up trying one of those apps - but I would prefer to not install any other Texting apps on my phone, if possible, so I would like to find out if there is a way to do through through Google Hangouts.
I have T-Mobile service on a Nexus 5 running Android 4.4.4 and I use the version of Hangouts that is automatically installed on my phone for text messaging. I don't have any other Text Message apps installed on my phone.
By the way, if there is no way to do this through Google Hangouts, any 3rd-party app that will do this that they have used?
I live in South Africa. I do not find a South African time zone in the list. If I use another city in the +2-hour time zone, my clock time is 1 hour fast. Does it matter to the other applications if a different time zone is selected? Can one perhaps download an augmented time zone list?
