Didn't know where else to put this, since Idk if it's a 9550 only thing or all BB's, but when I receive a text message I like to know when I received it, or how long ago. But whenever I tap the received message it always says received one minute ago, unless it was on an earlier date. But, if I get a text at 8am and check it at noon, then tap on it, it says received one minute ago. Any way to fix this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got the storm 2 and there are two things that annoy me, one is the enter button sends my text messages and on my curve that button made a new paragraph. My question is how do you drop down a line (make a new paragraph) when texting on the storm 2?I understand the OS 5.0.32 doesn't have the feature to turn off the enter button from sending, hope verizon releases an os update soon.
View 7 Replies View RelatedA little background story, I was in school in the locker room and its on the bottom floor in the middle of the school. I took my phone out and had no service. I looked at a text message I got earlier in the day but hadn't looked at until then and I noticed to the right of the 160 character count there was 1 of 6. Now I immediately tried sending a 2 page text to a friend just trying to test this and sure enough it sent both parts and she received both too. I have my original Storm 2 that I got from Verizon, it still has the stock OS on it, .320.Now after 2 days I found out a little more on why this happened. I had no service like I said, the bars were red and it said SOS. So I literally had no service. I checked the connections manager and it didn't show I was connected to Verizon Wireless. I then opened a text message and sure enough it was there, 1 of 6. It only shows up when you have no service at all. I then went back into service after typing two pages and it worked. I did try just turning the connection to the network off but that didn't work, it didn't show the multi-page message, 1 of 6. It only works if you find a dead zone/no service area. It showed up for all the contacts I had SMS messages for, no matter what carrier they had.
After my first post I decided to take a picture. Now I wasn't able to get/find a app before I went to school so I took my camera and took the pictures. They are not very clear at all but you can see what I'm talking about. This is the clearest picture I could seem to get. Its fuzzy but if you look at the top you will see the name of the contact and then just under it where it says 160 / 1 of 6.Multi-Page Text: 160 / 1 of 6 .Let me know what you think? I would really like to see this get integrated.
So now I am on my 3rd Storm2.. Gettign very frustrated....
i have been back and forth pretty much DAILY with VZW...
My phone seems to drop signal left and right... it will show full then none then full... it goes up and down all the time no matter where i am...
VZW has given me 3 phones, a new phone # hoping that will solve the issue... NOTHING IS WORKING!!
they have had 3 different troblue tickets opened and said there was a tower issue by my house! what a crock of **** that was...
3 BB in the house 2 Storm2's 1 tour and a VZW Mobile broadband card and my phone is the only one with this issue...
now i have my 4th phone on the way since November...
i never had a problem with my curve like this..
this issue is causing my battery to drain form 4%-25% hour... (depends on the day)
I have done full wipes and restores, full wipes and manual Restores, Upgrading OS's, *228, new phone #, New phones.... i am getting frustrated because i am missing alot of calls and some days i cant even use my phone...
they also have yet another trouble ticket opened... lets see how this goes...
Is there a way to select more than one picture and delete them all. It is a real pain to delete one at a time.

One thing I have to ask is I noticed my battery isnt as good as my old phone, I was searching around and noticed some people switch from Global to 1XEV, what exactly is the diffrence, I switched mine but havent had a chance to see what the diffrence is. I did notice that sometimes under my signal bars that it said 1X, then went to 3G, then i caught it earlier saying searching for CDMA(i think thats what it said"not sure").
I would like to know if its possible to send the same sms to all my contact in one time?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is a result of OS .607, but every time I get a notification, either an SMS, MMS, FB notification, etc, and I remove the device from my magnetic holster, the thing stays frozen for about 30 seconds before it allows me to put in my code and unlock the phone (btw, I use pattern lock). As I said, I don't know if its because of OS .607, but it has been happening a lot lately. It also does not flip around which also tells me that the device is frozen for a short time before I am able to put in my swipe code... or see the screen flip

Now my laptop is still set to cali time but why would it change my phone? I tried a reset and *228 but its still on california time.

The alert/sound only appears for incoming bbm messages when I'm typing on bbm. the alert/sound is different than the sound that I set on the profile menu and the volume is much bigger. When it does it, it does it about every three minutes, switching to another time zone and then coming back to the one it belongs in. This is getting frustrating as it messes up my calendar and I keep getting these meeting notices. I have removed the battery and that has not helped. At first I thought it was when I was in areas with bad coverage but today it was doing it while in Minneapolis Minnesota. Anyone else having this trouble and what did you do? I have updated the Roaming and it still does it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI put my phone into bedside mode each night as I put into my charging pod. I have bedside mode configured as "Phone Calls Only", all message options are set with vibration off for this profile. I have reviewed the BerryBuzz settings and they are set with vibration off as well. However, each time I get a new message with bedside mode enabled my phone vibrates once. I even put the phone into silent mode and dang thing still vibrates. This has worked fine in the past. Only changes is new OS (.607) install and newest BerryBuzz.
I'm not sure if this is a OS or BerryBuzz related issue, will have to disable BerryBuzz and see if this still occurs. Anyone else experiencing this type of behavior?
Can I get rid of my Catch-All message icon? Hiding it doesn't stop the duplicates in there from showing a message count at the top of the screen.It also stores Voice Mail and missed calls.I have separated my emails from my sms's. I don't need teh catch-all icon/folder.

Calendar takes ~5 seconds to load. Upon loading, another ~5 seconds till it will respond to any activity. I have it default to Agenda view, as I always have. Prior to v5.0.0.607 this was NEVER an issue.
Work-around:
If I turn "show free time" to ON, then it works perfect. Loads instantly, scrolls instantly, etc. However, turned OFF, it reverts to issue above.Problem is that I really don't want to show the free time on my view. Whom else has this issue, anyone? Does anyone know how to resolve this?
I'm getting a new phone today. How can I save all the autotext, that I've created, for the next phone? What file are they in that I may copy them?

Is there any way to edit what comes up? When I type "You" I get "Ypu" or "Tou". When I type "sorry" I get "apert". Any way to edit what comes up when you type words that are this common?
