Feb 3, 2010does anyone know how to clear the text message field in the .442 update for the 9700. It used to be alt+delete in the older firmwares, but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

BB Bold 9700 :: How To Clear Out Copy Every Time Go To Send Text, At Top Of Options Is Paste
May 25, 2010I originally posted this question in the device software forum and I haven't received a single response to it. So I will try posting it here. I have a blackberry 9700 bold, obviously since I am posting here. A friend of mine text me, and I saved her to my contacts. Well the phone saved her number to work instead of mobile where it should be. So I copied it, deleted, and pasted in the mobile slot. Now I can't figure out how to clear out the copy. Every time I go to send a text, at the top of the options is paste. Does anyone know how to clear out the copy so that paste does not show up all the time?

Aug 18, 2010New user, long-time lurker here. Until today it wasn't bugging me too much, but now it does. If I send out a plain MMS picture with a subject and the receiver sends back sole text, well, there is no other way to describe it, but either the text never appears or it disappears within second and I can never read it.
Anybody knows how to rectify that. I searched but didn't find the proper answer. Oh, I am on Rogers btw.

Jul 31, 2010I am currently using the BB Bold 9700. Unfortunately I have got a problem with the device concerning writing SMS (and sometimes also e-mails):When I get started writing a SMS everythings fine. But abruptly the cursor disappears and when I continue writing the text, it just does not appear on the screen. But "in the background" the text goes on, because after writing "blindly" I can send the whole message, even the first part I can see and even the second part which is written but not displayed.

Jan 19, 2010i got a blackberry bold 9700 for christmas and i've been having only one problem with the phone. Sometimes when I've been having a conversation, through sms text messages, with someone I will be randomly unable to open a newly received sms text message and cannot open it for a while. I got it checked and they gave me a new phone, and this one is doing the same thing. Sometimes i can't open it for 10 mins and then sometimes i have to delete it because it's been over 2 hours. this is getting really annoying and more and more frequent. does anyone know what i should do? cause the bell people dont even know.

Does anyone know how or if you can delete the option to receive a text message when getting and deleting a visual voicemail? Sep 5, 2012just reporting an issue I have noticed with ICS on my Droid RAZR. If I have a text message conversation open and receive a new message from the same contact, the notification icon pops up, I'm properly notified, but then it won't clear without backing out of the conversation to the higher level text messaging section. I have had success a few times with tapping on the new message to clear the notification icon, but not all the time. This was not an issue I noticed with the previous version of Android.

Feb 18, 2012I'm sure this has been asked before but for some reason when I connect my BB Bold 9700 to my computer it says my memory is very low or exceeding the limit... I have very little apps on my phone, and I regularly delete emails/sms/mms messages. Now when I go to take pictures it says I only have "7 Photos Remaining" when before it never said that. How do I check my memory? Or how do I clear my memory or delete unnecessary things? I have already tried restoring my phone and it didn't really work.

Sep 24, 2012The unread message indicator for a mailbox does not always clear after reading all new messages in the inbox. I have multiple inboxes, sometime after reading or opening all messages; or "mark all messages open" the red asterisk is still displayed with the the mailbox icon. The unread message count is 0, i.e.. Not displayed. The only way I can clear the red asterisk is to change inbox settings and save. I usually de-select and re-select an option so i get he save changes dialog. This does not always happen but happens enough to be aggravating since i have 5 mailboxes and use the indicator to determine which one i need to open for new messages. I recently upgrades from a 9650 which did NOT have this behavior.

Gonna upgrade from a curve 8330. I used a clear plastic cover for my 8330 to preserve it, is there a cheap one available for the 9700, is it recommended because of the rubber/leather style rear cover?

Even though I have successfully removed it (I don't have a fixed data plan), while writing SMS's the "To" field switches to "abc" mode, as opposed by the normal "123" mode. And no matter how much I press the arrow button to change it, the moment I close messages and open it again, it reverts back to "abc" mode.

Jul 3, 2010Z5 Compact. For some reason, the text input field in the Messaging app keeps disappearing. I can be texting someone back and forth and then, completely at random, the text input field at the bottom vanishes making it impossible to return a text.
Only solution I have found to this issue is to restart the phone and the Messaging app goes back to normal. Phone has been fantastic other than this and would be super if I could get this very annoying issue sorted.
