BB Bold 9700 :: Clear Smal Notification?
Mar 24, 2010i upgraded to the .566 and all has gone smooth except for the small "new E-mail" icon at the top wont go away and i dont have any new e-mails. does anyone know how to clear that?

BB Bold :: How To Clear Memory For 9700?
Feb 18, 2012I'm sure this has been asked before but for some reason when I connect my BB Bold 9700 to my computer it says my memory is very low or exceeding the limit... I have very little apps on my phone, and I regularly delete emails/sms/mms messages. Now when I go to take pictures it says I only have "7 Photos Remaining" when before it never said that. How do I check my memory? Or how do I clear my memory or delete unnecessary things? I have already tried restoring my phone and it didn't really work.

Jul 15, 2010I set the option to keep my calendar data forever, but I've noticed it still clear out the older entries.Today is 7/15, and the oldest kept data was 6/26 and I've been entering data in the calendar since Nov 09...Anyone has the same problem or know how to fix it?

Gonna upgrade from a curve 8330. I used a clear plastic cover for my 8330 to preserve it, is there a cheap one available for the 9700, is it recommended because of the rubber/leather style rear cover?

May 25, 2010I originally posted this question in the device software forum and I haven't received a single response to it. So I will try posting it here. I have a blackberry 9700 bold, obviously since I am posting here. A friend of mine text me, and I saved her to my contacts. Well the phone saved her number to work instead of mobile where it should be. So I copied it, deleted, and pasted in the mobile slot. Now I can't figure out how to clear out the copy. Every time I go to send a text, at the top of the options is paste. Does anyone know how to clear out the copy so that paste does not show up all the time?

Jan 7, 2010I have a BBM notifaction that I cannot clear. I have been through EVERYTHING on my phone, and nope there is nothing pending or open. How do I clear it? I even did a battery pull.The only thing I can think of, was I had a request, accidently hit ignore and saw the person that sent me that request and i requested them back. Thought I cleared it when I added the person but it is still there.So does anyone have any ideas how to clear this?

I now have permanent bluetooth notification icon in notification bar say "null" wants to transfer file no bytes. Accept or decline. Selecting either does nothing. Sep 17, 2010Last week I posted issues I was having getting into my phone after multiple attempts to down load Ver 2.0 of Docs2Go all of which failed.Well having managed to get back into my phone via desktop manager I was able to remove the offending application which enabled me to use the phone again.
I had to re-install the OS and then restore from a backup, however now I receive no email notification sounds. I'm only receiving visual led notifications due to having berrybuzz loaded as this also stopped working.All the profiles are correctly set and the sound is turned on in each, yet I'm unable to receive an audiable warning of new emails.

OS Version: 5.0
Apps and Free Space
Before Battery Pull: 123949768 Bytes
After Battery Pull:124207796 Bytes
A battery pull does not fix my issue.
Apps Installed: CaptureIt (Version 1.4), crunchSMS (Version 2.15), Media Mall (Version 1.5.29), BlackBerry Messenger (Version 5.0).
Issue
My bold is constantly showing that I have new BlackBerry Messenger messages on my home screen. I have closed all my messages and it still will not go away. I've tried sending a message to every one of my contacts (very annoying) so I could individually close them (thinking perhaps something went wrong when I previously broadcasted a message). This issue started a week after I got my phone and the previous two BlackBerrys I had did the same thing. Over time the number will continue to increase (on my last phone I had 138 messages at one point). The icon still works when I actually receive new messages it will just increase the number. See if you look at the top of the screen you will see it shows I have 5 BBM messages, however I have no open conversations at all.

I usually only find out because I may go and check the blackberry device itself and notice email icon shows email messages, yet the flash notification icon does not flash. Why is this? Jan 11, 2010I have a strange issue on my BlackBerry 9700 Bold, which I got on Orange UK. For some reason my E-mail and SMS Notifications are stacking under the same icon. So for example if I have 3 e-mails and 1 text it shows 4 as the e-mail Notification icon. I have friends on Vodafone who get two separate icons. So far I've tried the following: I've tried updating the firmware to the latest sticky at the top of this forum. Making sure Display New message indicator under General Options is set to yes Battery pull. I still get a red star over the SMS icon in the menu, but just no notification. In my themes menu I have Precision Zen and Precision Orange. Both have the same issue.

Mar 16, 2010My husband and I both got the 9700 this past weekend. Mine works great but unfortunately, his voicemail notification does not work. We've tried adding visual voicemail, removing visual voicemail, adding it again, removing it again, resetting to network with Customer Care. My husband doesn't even care about VVM. He just needs regular voicemail notification. And yes, the voicemail works properly and the notification has worked perfectly fine through the years on his 8900, his old 8320, his old Pearl, etc.
Yesterday I called Customer Care and the CSR rep said all we had to do was go to the home screen --> hit menu --> scroll and click on messages --> hit menu --> scroll and click on voicemail setup --> scroll to notifications --> choose ON, then save or done. Sounds simple enough. Unfortunately, when I followed his steps and went to the home screen and hit menu, there is no "messages" in the menu. If I go to the messages icon, I can get to message alerts for all messages but there is no voicemail setup.

It is a solid blue chat bubble (not the bbm chat bubble blue but a lighter one) I have no idea what this is, i have gone to my messages, my sms and deleted everything, this thing just popped up today. I have tried a battery pull among other things and have no idea what this is. Once again, it is a solid blue chat bubble (no white dots or red or anything near it) and the number is to the right of the blue icon.

I then found out that after I do a battery pull, it fixes the problem for a while, but then it goes back to not showing the little red notification again.
