HTC One M8 :: How To Clear Lollipop Update Notification On Both Lock Screen And Notification Area
Feb 3, 2015
How to clear the system update notifications for Lollipop on both the lock screen and in the notification area at the top left of the screen. I'm not really wanting to update just yet.
Just downloaded lollipop on ATT. The smart screen notification keeps coming on the lock screen. I went to apps, found smart screen and tried to deselect the notification but its greyed out. How to hide this notification from popping up on lock screen?
Recently I was prompt to update my OS6 6.0.0.448 to 6 bundle 2475 when I did so my notification area on the device like mess up in mail section, if I have a lot of mail the mail section will show black color title instead of white and some times overlapping.
All of a sudden today my notification bar... or rather that top portion of the touch screen has gone mad. When Im on a vertical screen... the notification keeps trying to pull down. When it is a horizontal screen, whatever icon, or keys if its the full screen keyboard, just start typing away like crazy.I had it on landscape texting onscreen..... it typed out wqasdddddwwedaaad. So it must be something "stuck" on that portion of the touch screen. How do I fix this.I dont have any new installed apps in the past week. I had very few issues when I got the gingerbread update, and they all smoothed out. The only thing recent was 5 days ago I changed from a 8gb microsd to a 16gb, but I doubt that would have any impact on touch screen function.
Is there anyway to get rid of the 5.0 update on the notification bar? I downgraded back to 4.4.4 and this notification stays there. Now my husband has the S5 also but his never notified him that there was even an update but I sure would like to get rid of it on mine
I just updated late night and now the volume rocker on the side only seems to change ringer and media. there is no option for notification. You have to go to the Settings>Sounds to change it. WTH. Is there an easier way? I am always changing it based on where I am.
After installing Verizon's Android update, the ability to assign different notification sounds is either missing or buried. It is no longer an option under application manager, app settings or on the applications menu.
Prior to updating to Lollipop I was able to easily adjust notification volume by simply touching the volume control on side of phone, then selecting the cog next to ringtone volume. That disappeared with Lollipop update. Is there any way to adjust notification volume other than going all the way to settings?
I had to update my S5 over the weekend and since the update I no longer receive notifications when I have a text message. All of my setting are set correctly. What can be done to fix this?
I updated my phone to lollipop 5.0, it is in general good till now, but i have two problems:
1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed
2) also on the lock screen , not widget for the walkman or the sound cloud to enable me to pause the players or to navigate to the next song
I updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 to Lollipop 5.0, and now when my screen is locked, the Verizon Wireless logo is in the upper left corner. I didn't mind it until I realized that I can no longer view any notification icons for texts, email, missed calls, etc. when my phone is locked. It's annoying to have to unlock my phone just to see if I have any notifications.how to move the logo somewhere else on the locked screen?
I own a Blackberry 9300 and recently I have had this weird looking icon in my notification area. It looks like some sort of sundial (the clock replacement we used when we did not have clocks) with a red star and 1 written before it. Tried every app, message, etc. etc. but to no avail. I would upload the picture (I have munched the screen using an app), were it not for my knowledge of how to upload pictures on.
Not sure if this is possible, but I'd like to allow notifications to only appear in the notification bar of the lock screen and not show in the middle of the lock screen. Also, I'd like to enable the phone to vibrate when I have a text, but not for other notifications.
Not sure if there is a software bug or am I missing something. On my M8 i had to double tap lockscreen notification to unlock and open the app. On my new M9 it takes only one tap to do same. It is quite annoying as I used to double tap. Also prefer double as never happened to tap by accident.
So I recently got the LG G4, and i really like it so far, but whenever i get a notification and i tap it on my lock screen it says swipe to unlock and at the bottom there is a big grey box.
So i don't fully understand what the sync toggle button in the notification center of the galaxy s6 does. What does it actually do? And if i turn it off what happens?
My network / operator name is constantly displayed in the notification area. How do I remove it? None of the previous Android phone I've had have displayed the network name here.
When I receive a text I can see a quick preview of the message like I should but when I click on the notification from the lock screen a faded grey square pops up below. Should there be something in that square? Is there more of a preview?
I have updated to ICS and for me, it's all good and my phone is so smooth. But 1 thing that makes me sad about the ICS update is that there is no message notification in the lock screen. Where is it now? I hope in the next update they will include this. By the way, the camera is so good right now.
I'll try to explain best I can. Lately (last week or 2) I get the new message icon displayed, but when I open my messages folder the red asterick goes away but the envolpe icon still is there and the count goes up. Currently it says 4 but I do not have any unread emails, nor any unread facebook messages. The only way to 'reset' this is a battrr pull. But then it starts generating again. I just updated 4.6.1.319 hoping this would help but sstill the same problems. If any other info is needed please let me know.
I have a sony xperia mini pro running on android 4.04 and I am not able to drag down the notification area when I am holding the mobile in portrait mode. If I shift to landscape mode (by sliding the qwerty keyboard out), then when I press at the top status bar, I can drag the notification area down. I already tried reformatting my phone and update but still the same.
I recently purchased Xperia X10 mini pro handset, however I am facing with one problem. I am not able to drag down the notification area when I am holding the mobile in portrait mode. If I shift to landscape mode (by sliding the qwerty keyboard out), then when I press at the top status bar, I can drag the notification area down.
