Alright, I've had this 9700 since the first week it's came out and I have never seen this icon before. It is a solid blue chat bubble (not the bbm chat bubble blue but a lighter one) I have no idea what this is, i have gone to my messages, my sms and deleted everything, this thing just popped up today. I have tried a battery pull among other things and have no idea what this is. Once again, it is a solid blue chat bubble (no white dots or red or anything near it) and the number is to the right of the blue icon.
I just got a new BB 9700 and I'm pretty good when it comes to Blackberries. But I have no idea what this blue icon is. I thought that it had somethin to do with missed calls but now I don't quite think so.
I've got this icon that I don't recall seeing when I originally purchased my phone. When dialing a number, there's a rectangle with diagonal stars(?) from left to right. This symbol is left of the speaker and volume icons.Does anyone know what this represents?
Just got a storm 9500, read everything i can about it but a icon has appeared that I can’t find anywhere and its bugging me. It looks like a small blue peach bubble on the top of the screen just under the date and a number next to it, i get that it’s not the new message icon, it seems to be a counter of some kind I think, I cleared all the messages i can find but it’s still there! Any help would be appreciated!
Device info Carrier: AT&T Model Info: BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS Version: 5.0 Apps and Free Space Before Battery Pull: 123949768 Bytes After Battery Pull:124207796 Bytes A battery pull does not fix my issue. Apps Installed: CaptureIt (Version 1.4), crunchSMS (Version 2.15), Media Mall (Version 1.5.29), BlackBerry Messenger (Version 5.0).
Issue My bold is constantly showing that I have new BlackBerry Messenger messages on my home screen. I have closed all my messages and it still will not go away. I've tried sending a message to every one of my contacts (very annoying) so I could individually close them (thinking perhaps something went wrong when I previously broadcasted a message). This issue started a week after I got my phone and the previous two BlackBerrys I had did the same thing. Over time the number will continue to increase (on my last phone I had 138 messages at one point). The icon still works when I actually receive new messages it will just increase the number. See if you look at the top of the screen you will see it shows I have 5 BBM messages, however I have no open conversations at all.
My husband and I both got the 9700 this past weekend. Mine works great but unfortunately, his voicemail notification does not work. We've tried adding visual voicemail, removing visual voicemail, adding it again, removing it again, resetting to network with Customer Care. My husband doesn't even care about VVM. He just needs regular voicemail notification. And yes, the voicemail works properly and the notification has worked perfectly fine through the years on his 8900, his old 8320, his old Pearl, etc.
Yesterday I called Customer Care and the CSR rep said all we had to do was go to the home screen --> hit menu --> scroll and click on messages --> hit menu --> scroll and click on voicemail setup --> scroll to notifications --> choose ON, then save or done. Sounds simple enough. Unfortunately, when I followed his steps and went to the home screen and hit menu, there is no "messages" in the menu. If I go to the messages icon, I can get to message alerts for all messages but there is no voicemail setup.
When I first got the phone, the little red notification did show up above the letter when I got a new email. But after A certain time frame, it would go away. I then found out that after I do a battery pull, it fixes the problem for a while, but then it goes back to not showing the little red notification again. I was wondering if their was a way to fix this? or if its just a permanent bug.
There is a notification icon just appeared that I have never seen before - it appeared on my husband's phone 2 days ago and my phone yesterday. It is in the top left of the screen - a square with a blue background and what looks like a person on one side and a speech bubble on the other. I have been through all my folders and messaging option and I have no notifications that I can find
Since upgrading to Gingerbread, I've noticed the following behavior in the notification bar. Sometimes the cellular signal icon, the 3G icon, and the wifi signal icon are blue in color; other times they are white. Do these changes in color mean anything?
Is there a way to disable the blue flashing notification light when bridged to a playbook? I clicked through all the settings I couldn't find anything. It's mildly annoying.
There is icon displayed (tweeting) in blackberry bold 9780. When I click on that icon it automatically display the home screen. The performance of the phone is also very slow.
every 25 seconds or so there is a blue flashing from the led which lasts about 7 flashes. Now the bluetooth is disabled and the led connection indicator is also switched to off. I don't know how and why it started but I just need it off
I've checked other posts & not found this one described. It sits to the right of the yellow envelope showing incoming emails. It is slightly smaller than the yellow envelope, seems to be a grey envelope, with a black 'seal' and a tiny red circle on the top right corner which may have the number '1' in it - all very difficult to see.I've checked all my emails - all empty. No RIM messages either. No BlackBerry World updates.Removed battery & rebooted.
iv looked on all the help pages but cany seem to find what this item is, it appeard last night after trying to send a message, it looks like a red clock on a white background does this mean message watiing? as i dont seem to beable to send any out but im reciving fine should i contact my network?
Bought grey/blue housing off of ebay, and switched everything over. The midplate was a litle tricky, but not nearly as hard as people think it is. Feel free to PM
My 9700 is only 3 weeks old and now the LED Indicator light does not stop flashing blue.I tried... - Turning off the option "LED Coverage Indicator" - Under "Edit Profiles", I turned off LED for every alert - Under "Manage Connections" I turned on and off Bluetooth (I do not have Bluetooth). I also turn of and on all connections. - I removed the battery with the Blackberry on and then removed the battery after first shutting off the Blackberry Is this a known problem with the 9700? Short of returning it, is there anything else I can do?
I have an unusual icon appeared on my homescreen for the first time, and I don't know how to clear it. My email icon, which is a transparent envelope, now has a small orange envelope inside it. I have no emails waiting, in fact I have cleared the inbox to be sure. I have consulted the icons PDF doc on the BB site but that doesn't list it. I have tried a re-boot.
There is a golden pouch (maybe an envelope with a strap around the bottom) that appeared at the bottom of the email icon. Can't find it anywhere in the documentation and can't figure out what it is when I select the email envelope it does not indicate anything different.
So, some French person has been calling me. I just got this number. I have no clue who it is. How can I block his number without asking my provider ? Are there some free apps ?
Can you someone really explain how to take off the "unknown number" when dialling anyone? Its NOT the "show my number" on the calls menu , it appears when you are making a call. Please help.
I am using a Bold 9700 on AT&T and when someone calls me with a blocked number, "uknown caller" does not show up on my call log. It wont show that I received that call and won't give me a call history. Any help would be appreciated.
I have been trying to figure this out and its driving me crazy. There is a notifier, 2 overlapping squares with green dots and obviously with the red round notifier bubble accompanying it, on the left side of my home screen.I have tried opening every single application but with no avail.I just bought my blackberry 2 days ago and still a novice at it.
I'm sorry I looked for a similar thread but didn't see one. I have an indicator that just popped up....on my home screen right next to my email/message indicator....it is a blue box with 4 dots and has a little red star in the top corner of the blue box (similar to new email star).
