BB Bold 9700 :: How To Block Unwanted / Unknown Callers?
Apr 17, 2010
So, some French person has been calling me. I just got this number. I have no clue who it is. How can I block his number without asking my provider ? Are there some free apps ?
Me and my wife have had the new Bold for about 2 months now. Ever since we had the phone we have been recieving the message "n:m=1=1" from 10476000000 every 15 minutes and it is real annoying. I took over the phone and did a clean reboot, and changing to my telephone number thinking this message was connected to her email accounts but I am also recieving the same message every 15 min. T-Mobile doesn't have a clue either. Anyone else have this problem and offer a solution.
This may sound silly, but there are certain times when I text a particular number that I should not be utilizing. Aside from the obvious "self control" answer, is there a way to "block" a number so my device will not let me call or text it?
my screen often fails to show the number or identity of the current incoming caller, and instead i get the number/ id of a previous caller - and not necessarity the immediately previous one. Anyone suffering similar and /or got a solution?
Calls from some contacts are displayed as "Unknown" when they call me. Â
When i receive calls from certain of my contacts, the display identifies these as unknown callers, despite the fact that they are known contact calling from numbers stored in my contacts. This only applies to a few of my contacts and I noticed it most recently after I had a problem disconnecting from a call with one of my contcats. Most of my contcats do display the correct caller id when they call.Â
I have an unlocked Storm 9530 from Verizon Wireless. My carrier is Rogers in Canada.Since i've had the phone, most numbers from those who call me come up unknown number. Even those who are in my address book/Simcard on my phone. It's really frustrating because i'm paying for call display and such on my plan. I've already tried reloading the OS on it and that didn't work.
I have uninstalled the "SMS + Call Filter" app (had to do this through Storage settings - what's up with that?), and reinstalled the SMS + Call Filter app using the SysAppPusher app. It still fails when I try to use it: "Something went wrong"
If I long-press a number in Call History, it allows me to process that number. However, the number really isn't blocked - it continues to ring.
From reading Windows Central forum posts, as well as other fora, this appears to be a prevalent problem with the 950 and Windows Mobile.
In spite of registering with "do not call" I still get calls I would like to block.Ideally I would like to just mark a recent call number as "Block" for when the same caller tries again. What's the best way to get this done on my iPhone 4?
I've just received my first spam SMS.Since it comes from an identified number, can I block that number, or have the spammers found ways to forge the origin number?
I frequently get unsolicited text messages on my C2-01 from people I don't even know. Is there anyway to block messages on this phone? Or at least make the phone not sound when receiving a text message? Or any application to block/ignore text messages from a specific number?
I bought an unlocked BOLD 9700 QWERTZ keyboard layout, German edition, unlocked, OS 5.0 because I thought that it was a smarter choice than purchasing an iPhone. The following issues occured and I would be very delighted if you could resolve them all:
* WiFi: What settings do I have to change so that my blackberry does transmit all data via WiFi and not GPRS or 3G? I do not have a data plan and don't want one . * eMail: The set-up assistant only allows me to connect to a Blackberry server. I want to connect to my private IMAP server. How can I do that?
* GPS: No app was found on the phone. No Blackberry Maps, nothing. Where can I get the Blackberry Maps?
* AppWorld: I am unable to access the Appworld. When trying to open the page from my Blackberry it says that my device is not supported. How can I access the appworld anyway and download programms for my Blackberry Bold 9700?
