iv looked on all the help pages but cany seem to find what this item is, it appeard last night after trying to send a message, it looks like a red clock on a white background does this mean message watiing? as i dont seem to beable to send any out but im reciving fine should i contact my network?

The text icon disappeared and I do not receive notifications of new text messages. The only way I can find a text is to locate the sender in my Contacts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Icon for text messages is not showing them. When I point to it I get "setup". The ONLY way I've been able to find my text messages is to go to "search", type in "tex" (no more because it mis directs me) then the icon with all the messages is there. I tried the BB button and do NOT get an option to move the folder. The ONLY way I've been able to find it is to use the specific search method as stated above. I've been working on the problem for 2 hours now since a friend told me via Facebook that she had sent me a text.

For a while now I can only view text messages from the "message" icon on my phone. I used to be able to view 2 different email accounts. The only way I can see my emails now is from the little window just below where the time is displayed.
How do I program one icon for email and one for text messages? Right now I get everything on both icons.

Today, for the last 4-5 hrs, I've been receiving numerous spam SMS msgs from 2 area codes in the Atlanta, GA area that are 3 different mobile numbers, and some of which are from the same repeating mobile number. I've checked other posts & not found this one described.It sits to the right of the yellow envelope showing incoming emails. It is slightly smaller than the yellow envelope, seems to be a grey envelope, with a black 'seal' and a tiny red circle on the top right corner which may have the number '1' in it - all very difficult to see.I've checked all my emails - all empty.No RIM messages either.No BlackBerry World updates.Removed battery & rebooted.

It is a solid blue chat bubble (not the bbm chat bubble blue but a lighter one) I have no idea what this is, i have gone to my messages, my sms and deleted everything, this thing just popped up today. I have tried a battery pull among other things and have no idea what this is. Once again, it is a solid blue chat bubble (no white dots or red or anything near it) and the number is to the right of the blue icon.

My email icon, which is a transparent envelope, now has a small orange envelope inside it. I have no emails waiting, in fact I have cleared the inbox to be sure. I just purchased a new Nokia Lumia Icon as an upgrade for my very well used HTC Trophy. I was able to use the 'Transfer My Data' app to move my contacts over, but the app was only able to copy my oldest 500 text messages over.
Is there any other way to transfer all text messages over, or for the 'Transfer My Data' app to transfer the newest 500 rather than the oldest 500? I'm on Verizon if that makes any difference.

The phone is what it is and if you don't like it, don't get it! I think the phone works quite well. Your bitching is like people who would rather complain about what's on TV than change the channel.On to my little problem...About 7 times now my Text Messages icon has vanished from my Favorites menu. Each time this happens, I re-favorite it. There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason for this to happen. I've tried the battery pull a few times. I've done the power down/back up. But the Text Messages icon is the only icon that vanishes from Favorites.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI started with an intermittent text receiving issue a couple of days ago. Text will work fine, then they stop. After the that the only way to get them working again is a reboot. Called VZW, they ran tests on their side, etc. I'm thinking this is on the phone side.
This morning, the text app is giving me the "resuming" msg. and also started crashing. Also some other apps are crashing like looking at pictures.
Seems like a hard reset is needed here? I'm out of town, won't be back for 2 weeks. Need the phone to work, so if I hard reset, will I be in a need of a wifi to get the phone operational again?
While I am able to send and receive text messages at the moment, recently, I found where 6 text messages never got sent. I deleted them. However, I still show a text message icon with a red circle/slash through it indicatint the messages never got sent. Since they were deleted, how can I get rid of the failed messages icon in the status bar? I clear the bar, but the icon eventually returns. Don't know why it happened or how; but thought deleting the messages would delete the icon. Not even sure how I'm now ok sending and receiving messages!

I was able to transfer contacts successfully... and the Text Message option does appear when I pair my iPhone, but is says "0 Found," quite the contrary from what is actually on the phone. Since it seems like the transfer app wants to work, any trick to make it happen.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?
I recently discovered that when I scroll down to look at my old text messages, a lot of them have turned into drafts and when I click into them, all the texts are gone. I have also noticed that there are the occasional text messages amongst the green ones that I can read. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that I have saved those messages in a folder.
My phone is running on OS 6.0.0.448, could this have something to do with it? My phone did not originally come with this OS system as it is a Bold 9700. In my message settings, my messages are set to be kept forever. And my validity period is set to Max. I also use this phone with 2 different numbers and sim cards in different countries. Could this have something to do with it?
Somehow i deleted the Text icon. get it back on my screen?I can still text,but it's a pain because I need to go thru the contacts database.
