Aug 27, 2011How do I program one icon for email and one for text messages? Right now I get everything on both icons.

BB Bold 9000 :: Keep Business / Personal Email Messages In Separate Mailboxes?
Feb 12, 2010I have a Bold 9000. It's a business handset and we are on a BES. I have added my personal Yahoo email to it and I now have 2 mail icons - one for Messages and the other for Yahoo.When I get an email on my yahoo email address it also appears in my main messages email box as well. I want to keep the 2 sets of emails separate so that it is 100% clear what is business and what is personal (Yahoo).I know it must be possible to keep them in separate mailboxes but cannot for the life of me work out how.

Apr 1, 2010I have a quick question and I have searched and cannot find what Im looking for. I appologize ahead of time for being a NOOB. Is there anyway to separate texts by contact? My BB shows every text thats been sent. Im wanting to compress all these texts into individual lines per contact. For instance if someone sends me 10 texts, it shows them all instead of 1 line for that particular contact.

Dec 31, 2011The Icon for text messages is not showing them. When I point to it I get "setup". The ONLY way I've been able to find my text messages is to go to "search", type in "tex" (no more because it mis directs me) then the icon with all the messages is there. I tried the BB button and do NOT get an option to move the folder. The ONLY way I've been able to find it is to use the specific search method as stated above. I've been working on the problem for 2 hours now since a friend told me via Facebook that she had sent me a text.

For a while now I can only view text messages from the "message" icon on my phone. I used to be able to view 2 different email accounts. The only way I can see my emails now is from the little window just below where the time is displayed.

Mar 29, 2010Without having to get admin/IT assistance, is there a way to get back a separate mailbox/icon/folder for the e-mail address managed by BES? When on BIS, I had a work e-mail folder/icon, a yahoo folder/icon, etc. Now, the work e-mail folder/icon (which is BES managed) is gone and that e-mail comes in under the general Messages folder/icon. Any easy fix?

Jun 24, 2010I just recently switched from a Bold 9000 (ATT, OS 5) to a Bold 9700 (ATT OS 5).On the Bold 9000, I had 2 separate icons for my email. One was "Desktop" (the email from the BES) and one was "Personal" (my gmail account). There was also an option in the email settings to determine which emails showed up in the "Messages" view as well and you could have personal, work or both show up there.Now I can't seem to find this option in the 9700.

Aug 23, 2010After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!

Feb 14, 2012Ive had the Blackberry Bold for 3 months--had no problem getting my personal email in the Messages Icon. 3 days ago, it stopped showing up there. I can only get to those emails by selecting "View Folder", then "Inbox"...I can then see all my email. However, if I close the Messages then and reopen, it shows my email as of 3 days ago.

However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?

Nov 29, 2015I just purchased a new Nokia Lumia Icon as an upgrade for my very well used HTC Trophy. I was able to use the 'Transfer My Data' app to move my contacts over, but the app was only able to copy my oldest 500 text messages over.
Is there any other way to transfer all text messages over, or for the 'Transfer My Data' app to transfer the newest 500 rather than the oldest 500? I'm on Verizon if that makes any difference.

OS Version: 6.0.0.246, Bundle 695, Platform 6.4.0.105I'm on my 6th day now, and aside from all the gripes that everyone is saying, like poor screen resolution, or CPU is too slow, I say to you: stop your bitching! The phone is what it is and if you don't like it, don't get it! I think the phone works quite well. Your bitching is like people who would rather complain about what's on TV than change the channel.On to my little problem...About 7 times now my Text Messages icon has vanished from my Favorites menu. Each time this happens, I re-favorite it. There doesn't seem to be any ryme or reason for this to happen. I've tried the battery pull a few times. I've done the power down/back up. But the Text Messages icon is the only icon that vanishes from Favorites.

Lumia Icon :: Intermittent Text Messages And Apps Crashing
Aug 7, 2015I started with an intermittent text receiving issue a couple of days ago. Text will work fine, then they stop. After the that the only way to get them working again is a reboot. Called VZW, they ran tests on their side, etc. I'm thinking this is on the phone side.
This morning, the text app is giving me the "resuming" msg. and also started crashing. Also some other apps are crashing like looking at pictures.
Seems like a hard reset is needed here? I'm out of town, won't be back for 2 weeks. Need the phone to work, so if I hard reset, will I be in a need of a wifi to get the phone operational again?

Oct 17, 2011While I am able to send and receive text messages at the moment, recently, I found where 6 text messages never got sent. I deleted them. However, I still show a text message icon with a red circle/slash through it indicatint the messages never got sent. Since they were deleted, how can I get rid of the failed messages icon in the status bar? I clear the bar, but the icon eventually returns. Don't know why it happened or how; but thought deleting the messages would delete the icon. Not even sure how I'm now ok sending and receiving messages!

I was able to transfer contacts successfully... and the Text Message option does appear when I pair my iPhone, but is says "0 Found," quite the contrary from what is actually on the phone. Since it seems like the transfer app wants to work, any trick to make it happen.
