BB Bold :: Showing Text Messages Instead Of Emails
Jun 21, 2012Somewhere along the line I have pressed some wrong buttons and now when I go into my Email folder, my text messages open instead. I've tried to 'Show All' but it still shows the texts instead of the emails.

Dec 31, 2011The Icon for text messages is not showing them. When I point to it I get "setup". The ONLY way I've been able to find my text messages is to go to "search", type in "tex" (no more because it mis directs me) then the icon with all the messages is there. I tried the BB button and do NOT get an option to move the folder. The ONLY way I've been able to find it is to use the specific search method as stated above. I've been working on the problem for 2 hours now since a friend told me via Facebook that she had sent me a text.

Jan 14, 2010My 9700 recently started not letting me view my new text messages. For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?

Aug 23, 2010After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing

Ideed, i have a message like that : "message memory full" i delete a lot of messages, i don't have any video or pictures, my memory is not full, so i don't understand why it's like that. Sep 5, 2012I have an 8 month old Nokia E7 in good condition however just this afternoon when ever I recieve or send a text message instaed of showing what I have written on screen OR what the reply message reads it shows a number instead along with the time i.e. 8: 17.45 I have deleted all messages in the sent items and inbox as wondered if it was because i had a few in there, I also rebooted the ph 3 times, removed and replaced sim card each time but the same thing keeps happening.Have sent my phone messages from 3 other numbers just to make sure it wasnt 1 number causing it and all come up with the same thing.

Apr 19, 2012I have a Lumia 800 and have discovered a bug where the recipient name is wrong if contacts have very similar phone numbers. Example:
I have two contacts with the following phone numbers
Contact 1. - 0703 246 802
Contact 2. - 0705 246 802
Note that the only thing differing the contacts is 0703 from 0705.
Regardless of whom of these two I send a text message they always show as being sent to Contact 1. This includes any History as well, they are all grouped into Contact 1 regardless of to which phone number I send the text message to. This is very annoying and it makes it impossible to see who actually had the message sent to when looking back at the history. I have tried moving the numbers around to different contact categories, changing contact name and so on, but it has made no difference to the behavior.

I don't know what caused this but I updated, Facebook, Twitter, App World and WhatsAPP lately. I also deleted BB Maps as the device was running low on application memory. Now the Application center on trying to populate/update the list shows Error 404.there are some really important messages that I'd like to recover.I do have a back-up of the device but will restoring to the back-up delete my current messages (the ones after the back-up)?

Jun 23, 2011I recently discovered that when I scroll down to look at my old text messages, a lot of them have turned into drafts and when I click into them, all the texts are gone. I have also noticed that there are the occasional text messages amongst the green ones that I can read. I suspect that this has to do with the fact that I have saved those messages in a folder.
My phone is running on OS 6.0.0.448, could this have something to do with it? My phone did not originally come with this OS system as it is a Bold 9700. In my message settings, my messages are set to be kept forever. And my validity period is set to Max. I also use this phone with 2 different numbers and sim cards in different countries. Could this have something to do with it?
