Somewhere along the line I have pressed some wrong buttons and now when I go into my Email folder, my text messages open instead. I've tried to 'Show All' but it still shows the texts instead of the emails.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Icon for text messages is not showing them. When I point to it I get "setup". The ONLY way I've been able to find my text messages is to go to "search", type in "tex" (no more because it mis directs me) then the icon with all the messages is there. I tried the BB button and do NOT get an option to move the folder. The ONLY way I've been able to find it is to use the specific search method as stated above. I've been working on the problem for 2 hours now since a friend told me via Facebook that she had sent me a text.

For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox.It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
I don't know what changed. My messages folder is only showing the draft emails. How do I get all messages to show up in that folder again?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm new to blackberry. I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday and I am having some trouble with it.
Problem 1:
New messages wont show up, I have to go into general messages and select "View Folder" > "SMS Inbox"
I have it set to combined simply because I just want all my messages in the main message folder but whenever a new message comes in I have to go into the SMS inbox folder.
Problem 2:
I'm having the same trouble with my email, I keep getting the notification come up for a new email but it is no-where to be found.
Problem 3:
I've set my blackberry to the Vibrate profile, the only time it seems to vibrate is when I get a new facebook notification and thats it.
Prior to this week all my text msgs were showing the name of the person texting me, now the names are gone and only the numbers show up, even on the old msgs, what happened to my phone, is this some sort of an update or did i press something my mistake, how do i fix this.

I use my BB Curve 9300 for work (Outlook 2007) and for personal use. My emails are being deleted after they are 7 days old and then when I scroll thru my emails it goes to weird dates with only 1 email there. Also, my texts are being deleted after only a few days...so frustrating!!! I have to be able to go back thru my emails. I went and looked at my memory thinking I was out of memory, but I have 3.0 gb of memory avaliable.

All I can see in my messages folder is a duplication of my text messages? Which I already have in my text messages folder. Have I inadvertantly changed a setting here or is there something wrong with my phone? I can see the emails arriving and read them but once they are read they disappear!?

Whereas in the past (like even early this afternoon) I would be able to see emails or texts - or if no email or texts it would say 'No messages' - I cannot open either emails or text and therefore cannot create, read, or anything else. The scroll button is inop after clicking on email or text and I must it the exit button to regain control of the scroll button.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an 8 month old Nokia E7 in good condition however just this afternoon when ever I recieve or send a text message instaed of showing what I have written on screen OR what the reply message reads it shows a number instead along with the time i.e. 8: 17.45 I have deleted all messages in the sent items and inbox as wondered if it was because i had a few in there, I also rebooted the ph 3 times, removed and replaced sim card each time but the same thing keeps happening.Have sent my phone messages from 3 other numbers just to make sure it wasnt 1 number causing it and all come up with the same thing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 800 and have discovered a bug where the recipient name is wrong if contacts have very similar phone numbers. Example:
I have two contacts with the following phone numbers
Contact 1. - 0703 246 802
Contact 2. - 0705 246 802
Note that the only thing differing the contacts is 0703 from 0705.
Regardless of whom of these two I send a text message they always show as being sent to Contact 1. This includes any History as well, they are all grouped into Contact 1 regardless of to which phone number I send the text message to. This is very annoying and it makes it impossible to see who actually had the message sent to when looking back at the history. I have tried moving the numbers around to different contact categories, changing contact name and so on, but it has made no difference to the behavior.
Since this morning my BB Curve 8520 has been displaying GSM. I have tried turning it on and off again and manually searching for networks but it still says GSM. I am not receiving important texts and emails because of it.

It seems like only unread emails go to my outlook, but then again, sometimes I also get emails to outlook after I have read them on my 9700. I want to receive ALL my emails in outlook, regardless if I have read them already or not.

For some reason, when I send emails through hotmail on my phone, they do not show up in the sent folder on my hotmail account, when I access it on my PC. This issue does not occur with the work email. I did not have this problem with my previous BB curve, and all the settings appear to be the same.

After I've deleted emails from my accounts on the computer, BB still shows all those unread emails. How can I refresh the BB so it matches? I don't want to delete everything twice. My wireless synchronization is definitely on.

I then found out that after I do a battery pull, it fixes the problem for a while, but then it goes back to not showing the little red notification again. I was wondering if their was a way to fix this? or if its just a permanent bug.
