Im getting emails and texts but I do not hear a notification sound when they come in. I have to remember to look at the device to notice an email or text has arrived. I have cycled power, selected different notification ringtones and adjusted volume. still no sound.
View 11 RepliesI receive my email in Outlook as well as on my XPERT. I set up rules in Outlook to automatically delete incoming spam however the phone seems to display every email without any spam security or filtering. This is to the point now, where reading emails is almost impossible since 80% is spam and completely displayed.
Is there any way to set this phone to filter spam or are there any known outside vendors for an app or anything? (In my perfect world, the phone had a spam filter built-in of course)
Seem to have an issue with my new 950 where incoming text messages are not notifying via sound.

It is on Vibrate only mode and it still does not vibrate when I receive them. If I take it off vibrate only mode it makes a sounds when I do receive them. how do I set it to vibrate when I do receive text messages?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout every 3 or 4 days my phone will just stop receiving text messages. I usually am not even aware of the problem until someone calls and ask why I am not responding to their messages. Once I reboot the phone all of the text will usually come thru all at once within about 10 min and the timestamp will read the time I received the message instead of the time the message was sent. I have recently installed hancentSMS and I have been testing it. I have no indication that I am currently having a problems unless I am in the middle of a conversation.

of a sudden my phone stopped making any sound on incoming text. I had a downloaded notification tone from Zedge, but i deleted zedge and switched to a system tone after the problem started. I have taken battery out, still nothing. It makes sound on incoming phone calls and media, just texting.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a call from a number that is not one of my contacts, the image that pops up is a question mark. Is there a way to remove or change this image. I don't like seeing a question mark when I get a call from someone not on my contact list. I think the Droid phones have a little green android creature that pops up on such calls, but this Motorola XPRT has a question mark. Something like the android creature would be better, or simply no picture at all. I can't find an app that will do this.

However; this setting keeps reverting back to a default sound....something like an old phone ring or something. I can't even find this sound in the default sound files on the phone. It also plays when I plug the usb in my computer.why this file keeps playing and how to make the custom mp3 stay active?
View 15 Replies View RelatedGot the 4.1.22 update last night and it fixed my vibrate problem but I can't reply to emails anymore. When I open an email, click reply, the device opens a reply email (like it's supposed to), but then the screen flashes, and reverts back to the original email, and also puts a blank draft email in the draft folder. This is happening with my Activesynch account. My Gmail account works fine.

I have an S5 which ALL OF A SUDDEN has stopped making a sound when ringing also when texts came through! I have search my self "round the bend", looking for a reason/solution!, to no avail!
I've tried resetting the sound settings, changing the ringtone etc! (when selecting a different ringtone, the phone DOES NOT make any sound then either, whereas, before it would play the tunes as I went through the "ring tone" menu).
The other sounds, ie key pad, internet etc all play sound!
I have iphone4. All sounds are on and have worked fine until today. Now no sound with incoming calls, text, etc., although my alarm did sound this morning. I have tried turning them all off, turning phone off, then turning everything back on hoping it would reset itself. No luck.

Messaging will not vibrate on ringer or vibrate. Enter messaging menu and click on vibrate: I have done a full reboot of phone, Including removing the battery, Vibrate DOES work for incoming calls. I have the most recent update software.

View 9 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had a problem with getting the same text message (from one or more sender) sent several times?On the first occurance I called Sprint and thier fix was to block the number(s) I got the text from, reset the phone then unblock the number(s) since they were sources I did want to get text messages from.That appeared to clear up the problem but again this weekend it happened again.Took the phone to the Sprint store nearby; thier fix for everything is usually do a hard reset.That was a couple of hours ago but again have started getting some of those text again.I don't know if it's a network issue with Sprint and the (re)delivery of those messages OR if it's the phone thinking it's a new message?

Whilst in the house this is not too much of a problem but when travelling, especially at night when I am in the motorhome, it is a darn nuisance.
