BB Bold :: BBM Messages Not Showing (R) But Was Read
May 31, 2011Has been 2 days that all my BBM messages only show a D (delivered) above the tick of every messages i sent out. My contacts read and replied and yet it didnt turn to R.

Mar 11, 2010I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 with v5.0.xx installed. I just setup my Gmail IMAP on my BB and when I read a message on my BB it doesn't show as read on my computer and visa versa.

Jun 17, 2010When i receive a txt message i have to manually go to messages which says "no messages".it took me ages to work out that i had to click "options" and "view folder" then select "sms inbox" is there not an easier way of looking at my messages, rather than me having to click on loads of things to finally read them.Surely they should just come up straight away? like most phones.I have only just bought the phone and i am new to blackberrys so i'm just learning how to use everything x

Oct 12, 2012I have a BB Bold 9700 V 5 and I just noticed that unread messages are not being hiden when I file them on my Outlook client on my PC. I am almost positive that when I filed a message (read or unread) in the past they were removed from my BB handheld.
Anyone know how to hide ALL filed messages and not just the read ones? BTW The setting in Email Options>General say "Hide Read Filed Messages" now and I am positive it said "Hide Filed Messages" in the past

Aug 6, 2010When I open an email on the BB and read it, it shows as being read on my PC, when I open email in outlook, it still shows unread on BB. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere? I would like to see the messages as read on my BB so I don't have to keep opening emails that I have already read.

Nov 6, 2011I'm a newbie to the blackberry and I'm having troubles reading my text messages. When I click on the message icon, to check my text messages it says *no messages*. I've tried the message icon>menu>view folder>SMS inbox method buts its just such a hassle. Is there any way to make it more convenient?

I have just read 5 emails on Google web page and they are still appearing as unread it on my Blackberry. My wife has the iPhone, and it immediately marked messages as read it as well. Do I need to set any specific setting?

Jul 30, 2011My Bold 9700 is not showing old messages in the device. It does however, show that they are there but only in draft mode without ANY DATA in them what so ever. I don't know what caused this but I updated, Facebook, Twitter, App World and WhatsAPP lately. I also deleted BB Maps as the device was running low on application memory. Now the Application center on trying to populate/update the list shows Error 404.there are some really important messages that I'd like to recover.I do have a back-up of the device but will restoring to the back-up delete my current messages (the ones after the back-up)?

Dec 31, 2011The Icon for text messages is not showing them. When I point to it I get "setup". The ONLY way I've been able to find my text messages is to go to "search", type in "tex" (no more because it mis directs me) then the icon with all the messages is there. I tried the BB button and do NOT get an option to move the folder. The ONLY way I've been able to find it is to use the specific search method as stated above. I've been working on the problem for 2 hours now since a friend told me via Facebook that she had sent me a text.

Jan 14, 2010My 9700 recently started not letting me view my new text messages. For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?
