I'am using nokia 5233. I had this problem for 3 or 4 times my mobile shows disk error can't complete read or write data. Then I can't open memory card and can't format it in 5233 I formated it in nokia 2700 then it works why is this happening? and what can i do for it?

So i would like to buy a 64GB micro card but if the phone cannot read/write for example 90 mb/s I would rather not buy that fast card.
After loading up some MP3s and a widget (a flashlight app) via bluetooth, I turned off my Nokia 5233. Next morning turned it on but it wouldn't go farther than the Nokia logo on white. Removed battery, left a few minutes, same thing. Removed battery, removed 2Gb memory card while phone was off, reinserted battery, turned it on, phone came back to life. Reinserted mem card; it was recognized, all apps (installed on the card) and music/photos were there, everything worked.However, if I turn off the phone and later on again, it's the same, can't boot further than logo screen unless I boot with the mem card out and insert it later. I guess mem card is corrrupted, and yes, checked that there were now 2 icons for that flashlight app. Removed the app via the app manager, there's still one icon left. Trying to remove it via the Organize->Remove command gives a 'File Corrupted' mesage and it can't de deleted; it doesn't run either. Is there a way to remove this 'corrupted' file?So guess there's no option but re-formating mem card, is it? I've backed up all photos but really dread having to re-install all the apps I had on it. Is there a way to check for mem card integrity or fix it without having to clean it off?

Tried to format it on pc/bb bt didnt work.When i load it into the pc via the memory reader the files show up as read only. I double checked to be sure the adaptor wasn't locked and even tried with another memory card and it was fine with the other card.My 8gb card is new and i formatted it as i put it in my bb. I media sync'd with desktop software and when i disconnected I got the error.

Everything was going fine but one day when I tried to transfer my data into system via card reader i fealt hopeless since it was not recognised by my system, no issue but when i inserted this card again in my phone it prompts for a password. I never set a password on this phone or the memory card, ive only had this phone for about 1 weeks.So here i am with a bare new phone, and i lost all my information on my SD card and to make it worse NOW i cant even access it anymore! Under options on my phone i tried deleteing the password, changing it or reformating the card, but before any of those could be done it prompts me for that password and im stuck.

Windows gave me an alert saying that the phone should be analysed because of a faulty file system. I ignored this message. I took it to shop which fix phones, So it reinstalled my 10V OS (I had installed it by my self) into 9.40V it is quite better, but phone lags a lot, restarts it self, memory card isn't working well too. But sometimes when I open the camera it shows an error "Memory card is write protected. Cannot edit files". The same error I get when I try to open the galler or media player. But I use a third party File manager App which shows and allow me to open the contents in the Micro SD card except image and music, video files. Other files such as .pdf, .html open in Adobe reader, HTML viewer or browser without any issue. Also this error does not appear after I restart the mobile. For some 5 - 6 usage of camera this error again appears. And the card is not damaged since I checked with connecting to the Laptop thorugh USB mode (both Mass storage and Media transfer mode) also through a card reader, everything works fine.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.
My mass memory is showing that it is in use even when it is not connected to any device or gadget, It all happened when I formatted my Mass Memory via PC in mass storage mode !!Format was successful but when I ejected 701 from PC the Default file manager was still showing that the mass memory is in Use. I tried everything from updating my software via Nokia Suite to re-booting my device a multiple times and also removed the battery many times and also I Hard Reset my device many times but to No avail .

I did not know my media files were saved on my SD card. I thought they were saved on my device.
In the options, under Memory, it says Media Card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card has been formatted.
First I took the memory SD mini card 8G out and put it back in.
Still same message.
So then I went to Format and formatted it...as it asked me to do.
Error message came up. Saying Format Failed.
However all my files are gone.
I am so mad that my blackberry told me to ensure it was formatted. Everything is gone off my BB.
Is there a way to recover this data?
I haven't backed up my BB before.
My phone said "memory full, delete some data",Ever since, all my tracks bar 3 are not showing on the memory card, neither are about 90% of my sound, image and video files.
Basically, my memory card is only showing a very small number of files and the rest I cannot access. Phone is N73 that caused this. Memory card is Mini SD.Ive used data cable and is still the case on the laptop, also tried memory card reader. Still exactly the same only showing small number of actual files. I can see the folder names however it says empty. But in properties it still recognizes the fact that that 1.9GB is used of 2.0GB. However I can only access about 100MB of those files.
I am using 16 GB memory card in my 700. But No Videos or Picture Is Showing in Video Player or Gallery which are appeared in memory card. No problem for mass memory. I already format my mmc card many times but no change.
