Oct 25, 2011My husband and I both purchased Blackberry Curve's 9300. He has a separate message icon on his phone for emails but I do not. how I can get separate folders for my emails?

BB Bold 9650 :: How To Separate Emails From SMS?
May 28, 2010I have a new Bold 9650 running OS5. I have only 1 email account setup on my phone, its my work email, and its through Blackberry Enterprise. Whenever I open my "Messages" folder, ALL messages are shown (Emails/SMS/BBM). The only way to JUST see emails is to go to the "Inbox" folder, which is really annoying every time I want to JUST see my emails. Is there any way that I can set up a folder SOLELY for my emails? Or, can I make it that when I open up the messages folder only my email inbox is shown? I know it has something to do with the fact that I am using Enterprise for email and did NOT set it up directly through the Blackberry Email Setup.

Apr 12, 2014I am a newbie to Galaxy phones or android for that matter. I am trying to make my sounds for messages, emails, and notifications different but if I change the notification sound it changes all of them. If I change the messages sound it changes the notification sound also.
While I have figured out how to get the sound for individual contacts I cannot find the way to get this to work.

Mar 15, 2012I have a question about my Blackberry Curve 9360.When I check my phone and I have at least one of both an email and a text message, the icons will appear in my top little bar, and of course the message icon and text icon will identify that there is a new text in the icon row below. However, if I go into my inbox before my texts, the new text icon up top will disappear (or go from 2 to 1 new if there are 2, etc), and the notification on my text icon on the bottom will disappear.

Mar 29, 2010Without having to get admin/IT assistance, is there a way to get back a separate mailbox/icon/folder for the e-mail address managed by BES? When on BIS, I had a work e-mail folder/icon, a yahoo folder/icon, etc. Now, the work e-mail folder/icon (which is BES managed) is gone and that e-mail comes in under the general Messages folder/icon. Any easy fix?

Jun 14, 2010I have searched around and found many problems faced regarding the email icon showing unread emails but in actual fact there are none. My problem however is the opposite of that - there are unread emails but it is not indicating as such.
This is specifically for Gmail as all my other email accounts are showing unread emails just fine. It is a minor issue but it does get on my nerves trying to figure this out.
Recent activities include upgrading OS to OS5 and changing telco, doubt if these are the cause of it. I have tried deleting and creating the email account and battery pull to no avail.
BB Curve :: Emails Only Go To "message" Icon?
Mar 23, 2011I have two Gmail accounts on my phone.
The problem I have is that the emails I recieve keep going to my "message" icon and not the actual gmail icon that appears once you create the account.
The one email (my private Gmail) works fine. The emails that come through go straight to the Gmail icon. The other one (my informal Gmail) doesnt.
I have tried numerous things to try and make it work:
1) Deleted all the service books for this, hard reboot and then registering again.
2) Under the messages, under options, and under the inbox settings I have un-ticked that email account, the messages still come throught, but when I un-tick it, the message is no where to be found. I have to tick this box again (the email address) so I can see the email in my "messages" icon again.
3) I have tried to delete and readd the Gmail accout, but still the same issue.
Im not sure what to do. I dont think its the phone itself, as the Gmail account (private) on works perferctly.

There is now a separate folder on the home screen for Yahoo emails. Perfect; just what I wanted! However, some of my Yahoo emails also show up in my Messages folder. May 20, 2010I just got a replacement today for my previous Curve 8530. My previous one, when I first bought it, had separate folders for e-mails and SMS/MMS messages, but when I first started using the new one, they have been combined into one folder and I cannot figure out how to separate them. I saw a thread asking a similar question for the Tour 9630, but the answer given for that told to utilize menu options that are not available on my phone. Can anyone help me?

Feb 2, 2010When I first got the phone, the little red notification did show up above the letter when I got a new email. But after A certain time frame, it would go away. I then found out that after I do a battery pull, it fixes the problem for a while, but then it goes back to not showing the little red notification again. May 14, 2015Why does the gmail app icon always show 99+ and the email icon always shows 30 emails even after I clean up my mailboxes and know for sure that I have 0 unread emails?
