Oct 18, 2011im just wondering how do i stop my spam messages showing in my e-mail folder??? i go to open up email and not only do i see my normal inbox mail but i see all the **** from my inbox and i recieve about 50 messages a day in my spam folder

Jan 12, 2010I added a new gmail address to my phone, before that, I had my work e-mail, a different gmail address and my blackberry e-mail.All e-mails went directly into the main mailbox.They also went into the separate folders for each specific e-mail address. so if I wanted to only look at e-mails from email address #1, I just had to look in that folder.Well it still works for the first 3 e-mail address, but since I added the new gmail account, the e-mails on the new account only go to the main e-mail message folder.So if I go to the separate folder for the new gmail account it shows no e-mails at all.But if I go to the main inbox, any new e-mails to that account are shown there.Does anyone know how to fix this?I have deleted and re-added this account at least 3 times, I have done everything I know and I still cannot get the e-mails to show up in the separate account folder!

Jul 14, 2011All of a sudden one of my email IN box folders has dissapeared. All the email accounts are OK but one of them just says No Messages and the In Box folder has vanished. I can recieve messages and read them off the Messages icon but they wont appear in the In Box for the account.

Oct 31, 2011Just updated Blackberry Desktop Software to v 6.1.0.35.I was surprised to see that the software backed up then restored all the data on my Bold 9780. However, on restore, it did NOT restore my separate e-mail inbox folders - instead, it shoved all the e-mail into a single inbox.I have 7 e-mail accounts, and I need to be able to see incoming e-mail going directly to the relevant inbox rather than a single inbox. How do I restore my old multiple inbox setup?

Jul 23, 2010I have my BB for work, so my "Messages" folder is for work emails. I set up the phone to also receive emails from my Yahoo addrerss. There is now a separate folder on the home screen for Yahoo emails. Perfect; just what I wanted! However, some of my Yahoo emails also show up in my Messages folder. Mar 15, 2010I've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.

May 20, 2010I just got a replacement today for my previous Curve 8530. My previous one, when I first bought it, had separate folders for e-mails and SMS/MMS messages, but when I first started using the new one, they have been combined into one folder and I cannot figure out how to separate them. I saw a thread asking a similar question for the Tour 9630, but the answer given for that told to utilize menu options that are not available on my phone. Can anyone help me?

Jan 5, 2010So I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.

Mar 18, 2010I don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

I just added a new email acct to my phone and whenever I send messages (with just that account) I get a copy in my inbox as an unread message. The email goes through to the recipient and everything, but whenever I send from this account, I get a copy. Any idea why this could be happening? I've done resets, test emails and everything, nothing has seemed to work.I have a VZW BB Curve 3G 9330.I'm on BB OS 6.It's the third email account on my phone.I have done a soft reset a couple times already.

Jan 20, 2012I used to be able to press the blackberry button (think thats what its called) when in my inbox and get various options including mark as unread (as well as forward, reply to all, etc). I now seem to be able to only do from this from in the email itself as if I am in my in box and press the button I need to hold it down and then I get a shortcut menu appearing. Have I accidently created this or has blackberry changed this as I recently upgraded one of their apps (though thought it was messenger)?

Jun 8, 2010When I sent emails, the sent mails show up in my BB 8900 "inbox". So, if I send an email to myself, both the mail (received) and the sent mail show up in the handheld "inbox". I could not find a set up option so that the send mail will not be listed in the inbox. Any idea? Thanks.

The delete works fine.

I used the search option to search for Twitter messages so I could delete them. Deleting the messages took several tries, which surprised me. Device software version 4 had no problems with this process. Anyway, my SMS and MMS Inbox now appears to be empty. I have to perform a search to see my new SMS/MMS messages.
I had already backed up my device and restored my SMS/MMS inbox from that backup file, but it will not show all current traffic, just items I have sent. I have to do a search to see any current stuff. What do I need to do to rebuild my SMS inbox so I can see all of my messages again? Doing a search every time I get a new SMS takes too much time.
BB Curve :: SMS Inbox Doesn't Show New Messages After Upgrading
Aug 9, 2010My SMS inbox doesnt show new messages and also my Curve 8900 doesnt prompt for any new messages. However, the Mobiso application (which logs calls, texts) shows messages coming in with its text lengths. I asked this to Blackberryhelp on Twitter but it said to contact service provider, but there is nothing wrong with it. The format of the SMS inbox should have something wrong otherwise the Mobiso application should not have logged all messages.
