My Iphone4 email inbox is showing there is over 1,000 messages in the inbox but in fact there is only a few and email on my pc shows correctly. I cannot get the phone to show me the correct number of messages. Apart from this problem all email related things are working correctly.

So I set up my gmail account via the BIS or whatever plug-in, and all seems to be working ok. The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. I do have SMS/MMS broken out into a separate inbox, but i'd like to use the gmail inbox where it threads messages with the same topic instead of the general messages inbox.tried resending service books.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

All of a sudden I have a new friend and when I send him emails, they go to him AND show up in my inbox.
I tested a bunch of friend's emails and none came to my inbox.
How can I figure out why this ONE email address is coming to my inbox?
The Subject doesn't read "Re:" or "Fwd:"
It doen't show any other address in the TO:, and there is nothing in CC: or BCC:
I do not have the setting on to CC or BC myself - this started happening out of the blue.

I have a Bold 9700, everything was working perfectly up until this morning. I received a Facebook inbox message, but when I try and read it all it displays is the message subject and nothing else. Over the course of the day I received a few more inbox messages but all of them I can only see the message subject and not the message itself.I have reset the phone, deleted facebook and re-installed but did not work.

If I read the email on the phone, then it will show as read.Â
I've searched every forums and search engine for this, but cannont pin point my exact problem...I bought a 9780 yesterday, everything was fine, i set up my emails etc... everything worked.THEN... i stupidly security waped the phone this when things changed.Once the phone came back on i re-configured my email accounts, but now when i go onto my emails i see no inbox folder or emails what was there previouslyALTHOUGH i can send and recieve emails, but these come in list format...Ive made sure and uncheak the hide folder and sent numerous service book requests (these come through...)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
I have a galaxy s6 edge. A weird thing is happening to my email. i would like to use conversation mode to display my messages. Initially all good. But when I press on the sent folder (to see the messages I sent), the Inbox goes crazy.
It displays all my sent messages in my inbox! Not just the ones from within a conversation, but all my sent messages... This is extremely strange. did not have that problem with my Samsung Alpha... I am at lost to understand Probably some simple setting I am missing?
Is there a way I can "block-delete" all the letters in my iPhone 4 INBOX? I get tons of junk-mail, and would like to use the 'delete all' capability that I have with my TRASH folder. As it is now, I have to download the mail 50 items at a time, go to EDIT, then highlight each message before deleting.

When I tried viewing new text messages, they were not in the inbox. I soon realized that my emails were showing up in my sms and mms inbox. Once I receive an email in the work inbox on my iphone I can see it, but the second I go to my laptop and open it in microsoft outlook it gets deleted from my iphone inbox.

Suddenly today after deleting a handful of messages out of one mailbox it suddenly says that mailbox has 4294967295 messages. There is nothing in the mailbox. If I send mail to it, the count changes to 1 until I delete that message then it goes back to 4294967295. I have deleted the account and recreated it but that didn't fix it.

I have random emails that show up in my inbox and then get sent to my deleted folder automatically. Does anyone know what is casusing this and what the solution to fix it. Have an issue with 1 user. When he deletes email from Outlook (on Mac), it remains in the inbox on his iPhone. This will remain even if he does a manual sync. If he empties the Deleted Items forder in Outlook it will remove them from the iphone. If he deletes the email from his iPhone it will be deleted in Outlook.
have removed and re-added his account to the iPhone with no help.

I just converted from a Blackberry enterprise system, where I could "delete Prior" on the handheld without affecting the emails that were in my inbox. It just cleaned up my BB screen. Can I do that on the iphone?

My phone updated itself today, all is working fine apart from my inbox. All my messages have gone When I receive a text, it comes up but once I've gone out of my inbox, it disappears again. I have 3 text "conversations" showing in my inbox, sometimes I can open them, sometimes I can't. My phone is recognising I have over 6,000 messages on my phone when I back them up, but they're still not appearing.
