im just wondering how do i stop my spam messages showing in my e-mail folder??? i go to open up email and not only do i see my normal inbox mail but i see all the **** from my inbox and i recieve about 50 messages a day in my spam folder
View 1 RepliesI added a new gmail address to my phone, before that, I had my work e-mail, a different gmail address and my blackberry e-mail.All e-mails went directly into the main mailbox.They also went into the separate folders for each specific e-mail address. so if I wanted to only look at e-mails from email address #1, I just had to look in that folder.Well it still works for the first 3 e-mail address, but since I added the new gmail account, the e-mails on the new account only go to the main e-mail message folder.So if I go to the separate folder for the new gmail account it shows no e-mails at all.But if I go to the main inbox, any new e-mails to that account are shown there.Does anyone know how to fix this?I have deleted and re-added this account at least 3 times, I have done everything I know and I still cannot get the e-mails to show up in the separate account folder!

New spam emails being received on samsung s5 are disabling the ability to tag them as spam. This only leaves pressing unsubscribe which could be risky or delete. Meaning there is no way to stop future emails.

The problem is that the emails go straight to my general "Messages" inbox, but nothing shows up in my Gmail account inbox when i click on that specific icon. Just got the M8 (online pictures don't do the Verizon red version justice, btw!) and noticed a ton of spam in my main inbox, including dated from before moving phones. When looking around, I noticed I have no separate spam/bulk folder in the stock app like my last phone. It appears those emails are being retrieved from the server, but inserted into the phone's general inbox.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter reading all this threads about different issues with Nokia, here are my problems with the new Belle:
1st - the backup during installation DID NOT saved setting on my phone so I had to remake them all over again. The explanation I came up with is the new OS etc.
2nd - there is no option to see messaging as in normal view with inbox, Sent items, Delivery reports etc. Everything is shown as in conversation thus I can't personalize my view. Meanwhile there is still option in settings to receive delivery report which I can not see because it is not shown in conversation window. After some time I choose to restore factory settings and get back to Anna. Imagine my surprise when after rebooting the new OS was still on and this is NOT my original software.
3rd there are some other "small" but annoying changes, one of them is the fact I can not switch to battery saving anymore, can not use fast change of profile, if I don't have gadget for clock (and I don't) I need to go through menu in order to change alarm or time.
Basically I want to know is there a way to downgrade to a previous OS or should I bring my phone to the service?
Is there going to be a spam filter for Mail in the iOS6 update?

I receive my email in Outlook as well as on my XPERT. I set up rules in Outlook to automatically delete incoming spam however the phone seems to display every email without any spam security or filtering. This is to the point now, where reading emails is almost impossible since 80% is spam and completely displayed.
Is there any way to set this phone to filter spam or are there any known outside vendors for an app or anything? (In my perfect world, the phone had a spam filter built-in of course)

I like the new integrated mailboxes feature.However,will I be able to set up separate mail icons on the homescreen to jump to the specific e-mail account? For example, I can have a mail icon for my gmail, one for my mobileme, and one for my exchange account all separate on the home screen for a total of three (same mail icon but different subtext per which account it is, for example).Based on what I've seen and read so far I think the answer is no. What I'm anticipating is I will have to open the one mail icon with all my accounts listed, then have to choose which one I go to from there. Not a terribly huge deal, as it is better than the current setup, but separate icons would be a nice feature have.

Whenever I open my "Messages" folder, ALL messages are shown (Emails/SMS/BBM). The only way to JUST see emails is to go to the "Inbox" folder, which is really annoying every time I want to JUST see my emails. Is there any way that I can set up a folder SOLELY for my emails? Or, can I make it that when I open up the messages folder only my email inbox is shown? I know it has something to do with the fact that I am using Enterprise for email and did NOT set it up directly through the Blackberry Email Setup.

Why does everything come through the mail icon and through the messages icon? It doesn't make sense. All I want when I click the envelope is e-mail. I found a post on here that sounded similar to my problem but I my phone doesn't have the same menu options. It is a 9330.

However, I'm obliged to send mail using my ISP (VirginMedia) and so have to set up separate account details for the SMTP server. My M8 seems quite incapable of doing this - it claims that I have the wrong username/password most of the time when verifying. Occasionally, it accepts the details, but then still can't send mail. If I revisit the settings without changing anything, it says they are invalid again.
By comparison, my Windows desktop works fine under the same conditions, and especially my Tesco HUDL! All this using my home WiFi/wired network.
Secondary question - if you are presented with a previously entered password (blobs), does the number of blobs match the password length? I notice that my SMTP password does appear to change its length after it's been accepted.
I was wondering if there is a way to have seperate folders for email addresses and phone numbers?It just feels so unorganized with them all together.
