Yahoo mail doesn't show all of the folders to move e-mails out of my inbox. It only shows inbox and trash. This wasn't an issue with my X. How can I make them visible?
View 6 RepliesNew to the Maxx and having a problem - I use the default Yahoo Email APP. When I click on FOLDERS, it doesn't show the few additonal Folders that exist in my YAHOO account online. The only ones displayable are: Inbox, Trash, Outbox, and Sent. These appear to be only Folders ON my phone -- not what exists in my online YAHOO account.. On my previous phone, there use to be a way to display those other folders ..
Maybe it's time to look at another email APP ..
I have an iPhone 4s and I sync my email from an exchange server. I have mail that is delivered to sub-folders in my inbox but these emails do not appear on my phone but I can browse to the folders and see the emails. Is there for these emails to appear in inbox on the phone.

I have the droid razr maxx and I used the stock razr account setup to setup my yahoo email. I guess my question would be is there a problem with yahoo servers or is motorola and yahoo just not playing nice? I keep getting emails in triplicate and Im not sure what causes it. Some days it will work just fine and I'll get my email correctly and other times I wake up with like 30 emails but there will be just repeat messages in triplicate.
View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen setting up your Gmail in the stock email app to use it that way or take advantage of the Universal Inbox you should do it this way.
1. if you set it up already by My Accounts > Add Account > Email Accounts > Gmail then you need to delete that account
2. go to My Accounts > Add Account > Email Accounts > Other
3. use the following:
Incoming Settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)
this will now work as it should.the problem was that if you set it up with Gmail selected instead of Other then when you checked an email on the RAZR it would not show as Read on your Gmail account and same with Sent folder etc...
I have recently downloaded the new Yahoo mail app and after doing so I no longer receive a notification that I have received an email. I use light flow and it is set up properly for all other notifications.

I have an exchange server where the mails are downloaded to outlook mail client, and i have created Rules and Alerts for my folders. I am able to Sync the folders in my phone but i dont notification for it.
I've had the Motorola Atrix for a few days now and I've found out that when I compose an email or try to reply one using the default app it gets stuck in the Outbox folder.

I am very happy with the galaxy s2 but I can't seem to be able to see all my yahoo mail folders. is this a known issue? someone said you need to install "Yahoo! Mail for Android" but then I have two apps for yahoo mail, how do I disable/uninstall the seeded app so I can correctly identify "unread" mails which is not possible when the seeded app is still running.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI did a factory reset on my phone about 3 weeks ago now. I was having other issues that the hard reset resolved. The only issue I have now is a new one - I cannot add my Yahoo! Mail account back onto my phone. I am able to log into it via the web on both my phone and PC. I can login using the Yahoo! Mail App (which i really don't like). But I cannot add it using the "Accounts" options built into the phone.People have said that maybe it's Yahoo! thinking the account was hacked... so I've changed my password twice. I've done battery pulls before trying to re-add the account. I've tried everything I can think of short of doing either another factory reset or having verizon provide me with another new phone (actually they are sending me certified-preowned after they took my brand new Droid Pro and I later found out that wasn't necessary and I've had more issues with this phone than my original)

At first I thought they were messages that I had deleted in Messaging. View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to connect to my shared folders on a Windows XP machine through the My Files app, but it keeps saying the login is incorrect. The shared folders are the typical XP Shared Documents in My Computer, and I can access them through EStrongs File Explorer easily, and the PC has a username and password so that's not the problem. It doesn't matter what I type in for that anyways.Shouldn't this work out of the box? It seems like I have to jump through some unspecified hoops here, and there's no clue what I'm supposed to do. It looks like a useless feature at this point.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI noticed that my yahoo mail account was not showing all of my mail messages within the last day. I have verified that my mail account is working fine via pc and was able to check via the web browser on my Bionic. I removed the account and now when I go to add it back via the add accounts and selecting the "Yahoo Mail" option, I can't get passed the e-mail address password screen. It sits there for a bit with "adding your Yahoo! Mail account" and then gives me the message of "Login to the accunt failed, please try again." I am using the correct password and have been able to add this account manually, which I don't prefer since the way I am trying gives me a different icon for Yahoo. Does anyone know why this is happening?? Like I said, Yahoo Mail just started acting up yesterday and now it won't work and play well with others using the pre-defined mail setup in the "Add Accounts" area for Yahoo! Mail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife replaced her Droid 2 with a Droid Razr M last week. When I activated the phone for her I discovered there is no toggle option to move any Apps from internal storage to the SD Card. This is usually found by going to Settings-Manage Apps-Download-App Info as a toggle "Move to SD Card/Move to Internal Storage". I went to Motorola's chat and exhausted their knowledge base and was then directed to a phone support number. After talking with a level 1 and level 2 help persons, they synched into my wife's phone and then compared a Razr M on their end. They finally admitted that the move option does not appear in the Razr M version of ICS. This is a critical omission considering the limited size of the Razr M internal storage.I was told by the level 2 that there might be Apps available to fix the problem. I tried App2SD but found it directed me back to the missing toggle.Is this true of all Razr M phones or is it a bug in the software of only a few? In either case, is there a service patch available to correct it?
View 13 Replies View RelatedUpgraded to Bold 9900 a few months ago, last week, Bold kept restarting and so got new bold. Using BES 4.1 and activated phone, but appears that only 5 days worth of emails in Inbox and no emails in Sub-folders. Spoke to Blackberry and they said that this was by design!!! Deleted user from BES and re-created, but still same problem. Is there anything I can do, can't believe that this is by design. It appears that even though you delete user from BES Server, details are still in back end database and so when user is recreated from address list, it links back to the database and repopulates with the limited emails. Is there a way that I can delete the user completely and then recreate from scratch and populate all emails from exchange inbox and sub-folders?

It came up as a sync error.I then enter my passwords for both accounts and they then restore only to immediately give me a sync error. Tried deleting the email app cache and data,no avail. Deleted and added the accounts and got the same thing. I then logged into the verizonwireless website and deleted and added them on there. Same issue.An error pops up asking me to select one of the accounts below to re-validate my account.The account name is based on an existing email address which is associated with your verizon account. It also pops up sometimes that username and password are incorrect which they aren't.

I saw that other people were experiencing the same thing and that it might have been because of a server issue. However, my account still won't sync. The Yahoo app is able to get to my email fine, so I know it's not a password problem. I've tried to delete accounts and clear out all data from the mail app, but it still won't work. My corporate sync account works fine in the same app. I tried to add my gmail account to the email app and it had the same problem even though the Gmail app can connect fine.
