View 15 Repliesi am using bb since 4 years. i now switched to bb bold 9700 which has wi-fi and 3g. i need help on following topics, sorry if this is repeat question but i searched all possible solutions on website but remained failed.
1. how to set up hotmail, yahoo mail, gmail accounts along with official company mails which is already set up. important is to received online mails the i am receiving official mails on company account, means it rings when a mail hits inbox, i want the same for hotmail, yahoo mail and gmail?
2. how to play Internet on it, when i click on any Internet video, it asked, do you want to switch to wap to stream the video, when i say yes, it gives error message, if i am on wi-fi connection, even then it does not play any video, simply gives error message.
Every time i go to set an mailbox (i.e gmail) i just enter the password and the device just take me to the screen to choose E-mail (Ovi Mail, Yahoo, Gmail...).. Nothing happens.
I have an iphone and setting an e-mail account was peace of cake. Nokia drives me crazy. I did factory defaults and everything but nothing seems to help. I can access internet by wi-fi and by my operator (successfully browse the WEB).
My Droid Razr HD lost sync with both my gmail and yahoo email today. It came up as a sync error.I then enter my passwords for both accounts and they then restore only to immediately give me a sync error. Tried deleting the email app cache and data,no avail. Deleted and added the accounts and got the same thing. I then logged into the verizonwireless website and deleted and added them on there. Same issue.An error pops up asking me to select one of the accounts below to re-validate my account.The account name is based on an existing email address which is associated with your verizon account. It also pops up sometimes that username and password are incorrect which they aren't.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI did a factory reset on my phone about 3 weeks ago now. I was having other issues that the hard reset resolved. The only issue I have now is a new one - I cannot add my Yahoo! Mail account back onto my phone. I am able to log into it via the web on both my phone and PC. I can login using the Yahoo! Mail App (which i really don't like). But I cannot add it using the "Accounts" options built into the phone.People have said that maybe it's Yahoo! thinking the account was hacked... so I've changed my password twice. I've done battery pulls before trying to re-add the account. I've tried everything I can think of short of doing either another factory reset or having verizon provide me with another new phone (actually they are sending me certified-preowned after they took my brand new Droid Pro and I later found out that wasn't necessary and I've had more issues with this phone than my original)

I guess my question would be is there a problem with yahoo servers or is motorola and yahoo just not playing nice? I keep getting emails in triplicate and Im not sure what causes it. Some days it will work just fine and I'll get my email correctly and other times I wake up with like 30 emails but there will be just repeat messages in triplicate.

I have verified that my mail account is working fine via pc and was able to check via the web browser on my Bionic. I removed the account and now when I go to add it back via the add accounts and selecting the "Yahoo Mail" option, I can't get passed the e-mail address password screen. It sits there for a bit with "adding your Yahoo! Mail account" and then gives me the message of "Login to the accunt failed, please try again." I am using the correct password and have been able to add this account manually, which I don't prefer since the way I am trying gives me a different icon for Yahoo. Does anyone know why this is happening?? Like I said, Yahoo Mail just started acting up yesterday and now it won't work and play well with others using the pre-defined mail setup in the "Add Accounts" area for Yahoo! Mail.

I saw that other people were experiencing the same thing and that it might have been because of a server issue. However, my account still won't sync. The Yahoo app is able to get to my email fine, so I know it's not a password problem. I've tried to delete accounts and clear out all data from the mail app, but it still won't work. My corporate sync account works fine in the same app. I tried to add my gmail account to the email app and it had the same problem even though the Gmail app can connect fine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have purchased E72 on or around 15th Jan., 2010 from one of the Nokia Dealers in Indraprasth Shopping Center, Borivali, Mumbai. I found one man in his shop wearing a Nokia Shirt and after I bought this mobile, he set up the e-mail configuration using his sim card as his was of Airtel and Mine was MTNL. After that day I stayed in Mumbai for only 2 days and never used any of the email services. When I reached my office overseas, I tried to access the emails on my phone but it would hang and I would have to restart it again. Thinking there is a virus, I downloaded the F-secure Anti-virus from the Ovi Store. But it became worse. It stopped the Java applications on the phone.So, I uninstalled the Anti Virus and tried the email. But in vain.Then I was asked by one of the engineers at my service provider to remove the mailboxes and re-configure them. I did remove the mailboxes and since then - now 3 months.I have not been able to configure my mailboxes on my E72 again.
I went to the Nokia Priority Dealer - Foneman in Mangal Kunj, S. V. Road, Borivali -W, and they failed to configure it and sent me for software upgrade to Nokia Care, Near Railway Station in Borivali - W.They upgraded the software as they claim and tried to configure my email IDs. But they have failed too.Yet when they open their IDs on my E72, they open.What is the problem and how can I sort it out.I want my Gmail and Yahoo IDs functioning on this device.Or else, this device is of no use to me.I am very much disappointed with the Nokia Service which I have received from the Priority Dealer and Nokia Care.Is it because I bought the phone from a dealer and not a Nokia Priority Shop?Those so called promoters at the Priority Shops are incompetent and in the process of configuring my mail IDs on my E72, he went and terminated my Ovi Mail ID. Now I have signed up with another ovi ID and it has started working on the E72.This means there is some technical problem which is stopping the configuration of the other email clients.

Rather than using the yahoo mail app i simply use gmail to access my yahoo account, but for the last few weeks it hasn't been syncing.
I delete the account and re add it and it works for a day but then it stops syncing, i delete the account again and add it and it works for another day but then it stops. Is yahoo neutering anyone that isn't using their app to check mail?
I am trying to set up my Hotmail and Gmail account on my E7. When opening the email app for the first time I enter a new username and password. On the next step it only gives me "exchange active sync" as an option and not the rest of the email providers as it does on my E6 for example.
My Nokia history:2110 => 6110 => 8110 => 6310 => 2300 => 2600 => 6070 => E71 => N97 Mini => E72 => C7 => E7 => E6 => 700
when setting up your Gmail in the stock email app to use it that way or take advantage of the Universal Inbox you should do it this way.
1. if you set it up already by My Accounts > Add Account > Email Accounts > Gmail then you need to delete that account
2. go to My Accounts > Add Account > Email Accounts > Other
3. use the following:
Incoming Settings
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Security type: SSL (always)
Outgoing settings
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Security type: SSL (always)
this will now work as it should.the problem was that if you set it up with Gmail selected instead of Other then when you checked an email on the RAZR it would not show as Read on your Gmail account and same with Sent folder etc...
I set the account up fine using automatic settings. Receives mail but will not send it. For some reason you cannot access the mail server settings like you can with the other accounts.
