I just got nexus 6 and installed yahoo mail app. On my old Samsung s3 I always received notification from the app that I got mail. Recently updated to android 6.0 and installed the app. No notifications. Played with the settings...nothing. today I have notification from the app that I have mail from Netflix. But if I send a mail no notifications.

I delete the account and re add it and it works for a day but then it stops syncing, i delete the account again and add it and it works for another day but then it stops. Is yahoo neutering anyone that isn't using their app to check mail?
I'm running stock Lollipop on the Nexus 5 , but the new heads up notifications in Lollipop doesn't work correctly. They show up, displaying the correct information, but the buttons doesn't work. This is causing me to have to dismiss the notification, open the notification tray and act on the notification from there. Is it something an app I'm using that's causing the problem? I've tested with both Hangouts video calls and the alarm clock.

Is this normal or is there a setting on my phone that is not enabled correctly? I kinda don't like this, I'm use to my phone briefly turning it's screen on when incoming alerts hit my device (coming from an iPhone.)

I am not sure how to trouble shoot this problem, the yahoo notification is checked off but doesn't seem to fix much. Anyone using the yahoo mail app have this problem? I can pick up emails on 3G but only by opening up the inbox. The emails still do not show up as notifications. No reply so far from Yahoo technical help.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a serious problem involving my music files which I have transferred via USB to my Nexus 5. After a system update to Android 5.1, my local music files still exist on the device but DO NOT show up in any music player. I have tried to use Google Play Music (my default music player) as well as other music players from the Play Store. ALL indicate that I have zero song files on my device which I know is definitely NOT true. I used to be able to play them and view all albums in Google Play Music but now the music files are ONLY accessible via ES File Explorer.

I have just got the new phone and the charger.. Pairing and all went fine., but no notifications from the charger (fast blinking)..I did try soft reset, forget the charger and pair again to no avail..Do the Gadgets app need an update?It does show the led light intensity changes when changing the setting from the gadget app, so I'm guessing its not the pairing problem.

Images show up for the same e-mail just fine in outlook.com and in Outlook 2016.
View 24 Replies View RelatedSomebody recommended to use Sleeping Screen from Nokia beta labs to get notfied of messages and emails - however, it doesn't show any notification for emails that arrived through mail for exchange/gmail on my X7 (which I'm using while my E6 is at Nokia Care to get the battery/notification light issues fixed). So even if it would work on the E6 (which it doesn't), it would not be a replacement for the improperly working notification light.

I've created a new mail account and the mail icon shows 3 messages.
Touching the 'mail' icon brings up the usual list of mail services but my new account doesn't appear.
In 'Settings' my new account is there.

I'm sure many of you have heard that when you enter an incorrect pattern/PIN/password, eventually the phone asks for Google account credentials to unlock it. My Nexus 5 on 5.1.0 does not do this. Does yours? If my lock screen is set to PIN, I can enter as many incorrect attempts as I want, it never asks and never stops me. If I have a pattern set it will let me enter 10 incorrect attempts after which it simply stops me from trying for 30s, but it never asks for Google account credentials.

For some reason when a whatsapp pop up comes up on the locked screen and i press view it doesn't open up the lock screen, i have to press view and then manually unlock the phone. This doesn't happen when i get an sms pop up. Why is this? i played with every setting possible.
Also, when i watch a youtube video and get a whatsapp or sms notification it stops the video. This didn't happen on iphone and was wondering if ther is a way to change it.
