My device is sending out spam e-mail to all addresses in my inbox. I am using an "@live.co.za" account.I'm not sure if it's the blackberry server or my BBM account or even the @live server.

I've tried deleting the account and setting it back up again, also doesnt happening when i use the same account on either the web or my laptop, its just from my phone but only to my daughter email address and no one else.

Ever since I got my phone, I keep getting this email notification of Mobile Email OZMAIL. I never had gotten this from my old phone (Motorola Karma Q1) so I'm wondering why it keeps popping up. I believe it's a text message, it's not an email. It's reallly annoying and I want to get rid of it.

Today I stopped receiving emails and got a message from BB asking me to verify my addresses/PWs through the set up. Problem is each time I put in the details it says 'Username is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters.' it's a full email address so is more than 4 characters!

I recently needed to re-add all of my email accounts, doing it in a hurry I forgot to un-check 'sync contacts' when setting up my hotmail email. I now have 300+ random email addresses in my contacts list that I cant seem to get rid of. I had a look on desktop manager and all i could do was delete all -therefore including the numbers in my contact list too...obviously i don't want to do this....just want to get rid of all of these email addresses! I have tried deleting the email account and this also doen't work!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI don't know why this happened, I woke up this morning and it was like this. Whenever I try to open my email inbox the SMS inbox opens. Even if I go directly to my individual accounts on my BB (yahoo and gmail) and try to open them directly, it still opens my SMS inbox. I can't figure this out and can't find an answer. I have to check all my emails my going onto a computer. I still get notifications of new emails on my BB, but can't view them because only the SMS inbox will come up. I need my email inbox to show when I click on my email inbox.

blackberry9700....Email worked fine until I had to reset my password for my work account, now I can receive email via the blackberry from this account but cannot send. Send fails with "contains an invalid email address". My service provider and RIM have not been able to figure this out so far. Email account is not full, can access from a pc and send/receive. so problem is specific to the bb system. I have read where others have had this issue, and that plain txt messages work (they do not for me) and also that you can delete the message body of the original in the reply and that works (kludgy at best) but I cant seem to delete the body of the message in the reply.

Also I go to change email settings and BB does not recognise my username and password and I have tried all I can remember. I do not seem to be able to start again with new email settings to try and correct this. I just made the move from a Curve to a Bold 9900. The conversion has gone extremely smoothly (and I love the new device)with one exception. I can't figure out a way to get my BBM addresses from the Curve to the Bold. All of the instructions I can find refer to screens that I can't find in the Blackberry Desktop Software.
There must be a simple way to do this transfer (and it needs to be simple because I'm not very tech literate).
